I know I shouldn’t want her, but that’s not stopping me from going after what I want.

Jade McKay isn’t just beautiful, she’s temptation wrapped in one delicious package.

The way she looks at me.
The way she makes me lose control.
The way she says my name.

It’s everything. She’s everything.

There’s only one problem — she’s my best friend’s sister and ten years younger than me. Completely off-limits…and impossible to resist.

Now that we’ve crossed that line, there’s no going back. I’m not letting anyone or anything stand between us. Because Jade isn’t what I want, she’s what I need.

A lovely story where the couple is already in a relationship at the start of the read except they haven’t shared their story with anyone. The book is filled either lots snd lots of heat and an issue that brings their relationship out in the open. The characters are great!.

Tory gives another sizzling romance read in this second of the series featuring Locke and Jade. If you like an alpha man who is totally devoted and obsessed with his woman, this is perfection. A bit of sibling and friend angst, a secret hidden, a wake up call, spicy chemistry, heartfelt love and a beautiful HEA.

I received this as an arc from the author and I’m voluntarily leaving my honest review.

This was a good brother’s best friend romance. The story started steamy and it held up the steam level for most of the story but it still had an interesting storyline and I enjoyed reading it. Jade and Locke had great chemistry and I liked his possessive nature.

Essential Context

I received a free audiobook review key for Say My Name for review purposes. I appreciate the opportunity; my assessment remains independent. I approach it as Kiba Snowpaw, Alpha Ice Wolf of the Ice Wolf Clan in HowlStrom, with my appetite for fantasy, LitRPG, and loyalty under pressure. Contemporary erotic romance is outside my normal reviewing territory, but explicit fiction is familiar ground: I have listened to a handful of erotic audiobooks on Audible and read plenty of amateur erotic fiction online over the years. My fur does not stand on end merely because a story opens the bedroom door. I am comfortable with direct language and unapologetic desire; I look for the sensation that these particular people are affecting each other. That is the standard I bring to this change of terrain. I welcome desire, tenderness, and shameless enthusiasm when the writing makes them convincing. I found an accessible, affectionate romance with useful moments of everyday care, but its sexual intensity and relationship development did not consistently reach me.

Hook and Thesis

I wanted the heat to get beneath my winter coat; too often, I could see the fire without feeling much warmth. Say My Name gives me a devoted man, a woman who wants him, an inconvenient family connection, and abundant physical intimacy. I understood their attraction. What I wanted was to experience more of each moment from inside the character living it: how a touch registers, how the reaction develops, and how the other person responds. Those connections between action and sensation are the tracks my ears kept searching for. I could follow what the characters were doing without consistently feeling drawn into the experience. Baker sometimes gives me tenderness and attentive responses, especially around practical care, but elsewhere moves quickly from an action to an assurance of its intensity. My judgment therefore sits modestly above the neutral starting point. There is warmth here worth acknowledging, but abundant explicit content does not automatically make the scenes immersive. I wanted more sensory depth and a more gradual unfolding of the experience, alongside stronger development of the relationship itself.

Basic Plot Summary

I enter the story after Locke and Jade McKay have already begun a secret relationship. Locke runs Locke and Key Towing, while Jade works at The Social and is trying to manage her own finances and independence. He is ten years older and her brother Jace's best friend, which puts their private happiness under the shadow of an anticipated confrontation. I encounter a serious commitment from the outset; the uncertainty concerns disclosure and its consequences. A failed car transmission provides an early, grounded problem, bringing Locke's practical generosity into contact with Jade's discomfort about relying on him. Their families and friends overlap through garages, the bar, and other local businesses. I can follow the essential relationship without needing every returning character's history, although some introductions carry the feeling of arriving at a gathering already in progress. As ordinary responsibilities and outside trouble place pressure on their arrangement, the question becomes how they will protect their relationship while remaining connected to other people they love. I see enough potential for emotional conflict to sustain a short romance.

Praise and Critique

Jade borrowing Locke's truck gave me some of the most persuasive romantic material. She worries about her contribution and whether accepting his generosity makes their relationship unequal. Locke's response recognises value beyond money: the everyday attention she brings to his home and the pleasure of having her there matter to him. I can sink my claws into that conversation because it addresses an actual obstacle to closeness. Accepting help can feel exposing when someone wants to remain capable and avoid becoming a burden; reassurance becomes meaningful when it answers that fear specifically. The later movement toward reciprocal care gives this exchange additional purpose. Their arrangement can change, allowing each to need the other. I also appreciate that Locke cooks and that his attentiveness includes feeding Jade and noticing her work schedule. An ordinary task warms the den. I would still have liked more room for her uncertainty to unfold, and some reassuring exchanges quickly become sexual again, but these scenes demonstrate that Baker can give devotion a concrete shape. They earned more of my emotional investment than another assertion that either character is the other's entire world.

I also give Jade credit for having boundaries that extend beyond being desired. She objects to Jace misusing access to her location, leaves the tracking arrangement, and resists the assumption that her brother should solve her financial problems. I find the distinction important because a protective family can become suffocating when concern turns into supervision. Jace's responsibilities after their father left explain his habits without justifying every intrusion. Locke sometimes leaves Jade space to handle her brother herself. He is willing to acknowledge their relationship, but initially respects her wish to keep it private. These details give substance to his protectiveness. As the Alpha Ice Wolf of my clan, I respond to protection most strongly when it preserves another person's freedom to choose. I can enjoy a growling romantic fantasy and still want the person receiving that devotion to have room to breathe. Baker gives me enough mutual enthusiasm and resistance to make that distinction visible, even when the surrounding language repeatedly returns to ownership. I would have found the relationship stronger if that negotiation had received the same sustained attention as their physical compatibility.

My pack instincts respond when the surrounding community actually helps. Ronnie's willingness to cover Jade's shifts and the friends' arrangements to provide meals make support more tangible than a collection of friendly names. Removing one obligation matters when another becomes overwhelming. The garage business, irregular towing calls, bartending hours, and difficulties finding time together give the romance a working life around its edges. I appreciate those details because an audiobook about devotion becomes more convincing when affection must fit around exhaustion, bills, and somebody else's schedule. The discussion of hiring another driver establishes limits on Locke's availability and the responsibilities of his business. However, the wider cast is more effective as a support network than as a set of fully developed individuals within this particular book. The later group gathering brings several names and updates into a short space, and I do not automatically acquire an attachment to everyone because they share a table. My strongest pack feeling comes from someone noticing what Jade needs. Those gestures make the community feel inhabited rather than merely populated.

Criticism

My largest disappointment remains the intimacy. My own reaction was blunt: “I want feelings, not like a robot made it.” By feelings, I mean physical sensations and immediate personal reactions as well as emotion. In the passage that best illustrates my frustration, I do get contact, warmth, taste, and a declaration of being overwhelmed. I cannot honestly call that an absence of sensory description. What feels underdeveloped is the experience between those points: how a sensation builds, changes someone's breathing or attention, and draws a response from the other person. The passage also moves from immediate contact into general assurances about their willingness to be intimate with each other. I understand those assurances, but they pull me away from the unfolding moment. I wanted to stay inside the character's experience longer. More detail would help when it makes the sequence feel connected and personally felt; adding adjectives or repeating that something is hot would not necessarily achieve that. My claws kept searching for that missing depth. I wanted each action to have room to produce a reaction, and that reaction to influence what follows, instead of reaching the next movement before the previous sensation had fully registered with me.

Separately, I wanted more relationship history when the story opened with the couple already together. I welcome stories about established couples; existing affection offers wonderful material. Here, however, the story gives me the certainty of attachment more readily than the particular history behind it. Their longstanding acquaintance and brief references supply context without fully dramatising the change. I wanted to follow the tracks from familiarity to an attachment this fierce. The alternating first-person perspectives could have deepened that understanding by showing meaningful differences in what each notices or fears. Jade's concern about dependence and family conflict does distinguish her from Locke's more possessive certainty, yet both frequently return to how attractive, necessary, and perfect the other person is. I learn their agreement faster than I discover their differences. I felt a related frustration with the insufficiently developed romantic connection in Dungeon Tour Guide: the appearance of intimacy did not supply every missing step toward it. Here the circumstances are different, but I still need the emotional bridge between attraction and attachment to bear the weight the story places on it.

I could see the main storm gathering long before it broke. When Locke had to leave and promised to return, I immediately expected something bad to happen. My specific prediction was wrong; my expectation of trouble proved justified. I do not require a romance to disguise its destination or introduce tragedy for surprise. My difficulty is that the repeated emphasis on danger, safety, delayed disclosure, and the anticipated reaction from Jace narrowed the possibilities without giving me equally rich uncertainty inside the characters. I began waiting for the expected confrontation and disruption instead of wondering what a conversation might uncover. Jace does have a comprehensible reason to feel hurt by prolonged secrecy, especially given his friendship with Locke. His feelings deserve more consideration than simply declaring him an obstacle, but his sister's adulthood also deserves respect. The story recognises both concerns unevenly. So much attention goes toward forecasting his anger that the later repair of the friendship feels comparatively compressed. There is acknowledgment and reconciliation, but I wanted a more searching exchange between the men to match the importance assigned to their possible estrangement.

My ears grew restless over the distribution of attention, not the total running time. I had no wish for a much longer production. Here, though, movements between rooms, clothing, showers, food, and familiar physical responses receive space that might have carried a more revealing exchange. During a frightening uncertainty, an extended recollection of recent intimacy interrupts the gathering momentum. Remembering closeness during fear makes sense to me; the extensive physical recollection still delays the urgent situation. Similarly, Locke's repeated sexual thoughts during vulnerable or emotionally serious moments can flatten the difference between fear, comfort, affection, and excitement. Desire does not need to vanish during hardship, but I want hardship to change its expression. One revealing moment has him conceal discomfort because he knows Jade would stop what they are doing. I recognise believable stubbornness there, yet it complicates the promise of mutual care more than the story explores. Her willingness to pause matters; his evasion deserves examination. My alpha pride recognises that urge to hide pain; I wanted his vulnerability to matter as much as his desire. Developing these existing opportunities could have strengthened the erotic writing without adding encounters or hours.

Evaluation and Personal Impact

In audio, I particularly need Jade's and Locke's inner perspectives to remain distinct. Julian Sinclair is the credited narrator for both sides of the story, but I am leaving vocal performance and technical production neutral in my calculation. I lack specific observations to judge pronunciation, character voices, volume, editing, or his handling of humour, fear, and intimacy. My criticism of mechanical passages concerns their construction, not an unsupported accusation about his delivery. What I can assess is the material's demand on my attention in audio. The recurring endearments and mutual declarations make the relationship easy to recognise, but the same recurrence can diminish the sense of movement during a continuous listen. I want a scene's emotional direction to be apparent through what changes between the characters, as well as through emphasis a performer might supply. A narrator can shape timing and illuminate subtext, but missing relationship history remains missing. The modest duration suits the book's focused premise, while its repeated emotional beats help explain why a short audiobook can nevertheless feel less varied than its running time suggests.

My experience with amateur erotic fiction matters because it has given me a clear preference for scenes that feel lived through. I wonder whether that history raised my expectations, but the question alone cannot justify dismissing this book. The useful comparison is about craft: I respond when the writing connects an action to a particular sensation, allows the reaction to register, and lets that response shape the next moment. I can want that depth even in a short encounter without demanding a new confession or a major change in the relationship. My request for slower development concerns the experience within the scene, and does not necessarily mean a longer audiobook. Equally, I cannot expect a contemporary romance to provide the exploration I usually enjoy in LitRPG. I recognise the appeal of this book's familiar setting and secure couple, and its repeated reassurance may suit another listener perfectly. My ears wanted closer attention to the characters' immediate experiences. Stronger sensory development could have made the same events more involving for me without changing the plot, escalating the content, or adding another encounter.

Belonging without having to justify every ounce of support came closest to my heart. From the frozen edges of HowlStrom, I can understand the appeal of a home where someone notices that a meal was missed, wants another person to stay, and treats their presence as valuable. I am drawn to the difference between being useful to a pack and being wanted within it, which is why Jade's anxiety about what she contributes reached me more directly than extravagant declarations. I appreciated other people helping carry the load. I can bare my fangs for the pack and still ache to be met with gentleness. I want a place in the den that does not disappear when I need to rest. That explains why I wanted more depth here. The ending does offer reassurance and a sustained sense of commitment; I give it credit for fulfilling that promise. Its later glimpses of their future confirm continuity more than they reveal unexpected growth, and the return to familiar erotic patterns limited the additional emotional payoff for me. I can value the safety of that destination while wishing the journey had allowed me to feel more of the changes that made it possible.

Conclusion

I finish Say My Name with mixed feelings: I found real affection in its practical gestures, a heroine with some meaningful boundaries, and a community capable of helping when help matters. I also found familiar conflict, insufficient romantic history, and explicit scenes that did not develop sensations and reactions enough to immerse me. My 2.62/5.00 begins at 2.50, gains 0.85 for the strengths I have described, and loses 0.73 for the weaknesses. The arithmetic makes my priorities visible; it cannot make enjoyment objective. I would most readily recommend the book to listeners who want a short, sexually explicit small-town romance with a possessive, devoted hero, an already committed couple, and a reassuring resolution. I would be more cautious for anyone seeking slow romantic discovery, unusually layered dialogue, or more sustained sensory development within intimate scenes. I would need a stronger promise of immersive intimacy and relationship development to prioritise another volume. My criticisms of the prose do not rule out another Sinclair performance. The free review key earns my gratitude, not additional stars. I leave this story with some warmth caught in my fur, especially from the ordinary care around its edges. But the hunger I brought to it remains only partly answered: I wanted the warmth to reach beneath my fur through sensations and reactions I could experience, not merely declarations I could understand.

This book started with steam and ended with steam in the best ways! We jumped right into Locke and Jade's secret relationship and I adored them together. Locke was the perfect obsessed book boyfriend who wouldn't let anything tear them apart. Jade loved him just as fiercely, but was scared to get between her brother and Locke's friendship. Their intimate life too was so well written and you could really feel both the love and devotion through all of it. I liked seeing their relationship progress, but do wish we got to know the story of how they actually got together. There were a few parts that were very confusing that took me out of the story as well, like when Kara was called Colt's brother, and not the other way around, and then she was a she the next page. I also wish we got a scene with Locke and Jace talking it out as well. I feel like the whole book led up to that but then there wasn't really one. I did like how he came around eventually though, and how the whole family interacts. Very low drama between the main characters, zero breakups or even chances of one, but some drama from secondary characters that they worked through as a couple. No cheating or OM/OW drama, dual POV's, HEA and an epilogue a year in the future. I wasn't sure how I felt about Jace through this one, but he redeemed himself in the end. Can't wait to read his book and find out how he tackles the challenge of loving his new boss's daughter!

I’ve come to the conclusion that Tory just knows how to write the perfect book boyfriend…
Locke is everything!! He’s got the looks…the hardware (😉) and the personality.
Jade is sassy, independent and determined to live her life the way she wants to. She doesn’t take handouts and hates asking for help. So when her car breaks down and she is without a vehicle, Locke automatically tells her to take his truck. Then they argue about her paying him to use it and paying for the insurance. He wins and she just pays for gas.
In this story there are lots of cute moments like the truck argument but there’s also some drama and heartache.
Jade and Locke both fall fast and hard but what happens when Jace (Jade’s brother and Locke’s best friend) find out they are together? Will he be able to forgive them? Will he make Jade choose between him and Locke?
When there’s an accident and Locke is hurt, will Jade be there to help him? Will she be able to stay strong when he needs her the most?
We all know with Tory, there’s a happy ending but boy…do these two take a wild ride to get there.

Locke and Jade's story is so hot my kindle nearly overheated!

I love an age gap, brothers best friend story and Tory didn't miss a beat with this one.
Locke and Jade have known each other for years, and while Jade knew her brothers best friend was hot, nothing ever happened. Until years later, the line is finally crossed and neither her or Locke are sorry (can't say I blame them).
The only issue - Jade's brother and Locke's best friend Jace, he isn't aware of their relationship, and let's just say it's not a happy response when he initially finds out.

I love a brothers best friend romance, throw in a 10 year age gap and a secret relationship and I’m likely to go feral. Tory did not miss a beat with these two. They were hot and heavy from the very get go and didn’t take their foot off the gas the entire story.

Locke is best friend with Jade’s brother Jace so they have been in each other’s lives forever. While Jade has always had a thing for Locke, he never crossed that line until recently. And once he did there was no turning back.

More than their chemistry though, they were genuinely made for each other and everyone could see it. Even her stubborn older brother Jace, once he took some time to cool off of course.

If you love secret romances, brothers best friend, age gap, a pierced hero, plenty of dirty talking and steamy scenes but also a deep connection and love between the characters then Locke & Jade are for you. I loved that we also got to see cameos from some of my favorites from her past books.

I can’t wait to see who tames Jace!!!

This super hot and sexy book includes a bit of angst and family drama. Jade and Locke are keeping their relationship a secret because of her over protective brother who also happens to be Locke’s best friend. With the ten year age gap between Jade and Locke, as well as his player ways until the last few years, her brother won’t be happy with their relationship. Her mother learns their secret and urges Jade to tell her brother before he learns it some other way. Fate takes the timing out of Jade and Locke’s control and nearly parts the lovers for good.

I have to say that Locke is a fabulous book boyfriend. He is protective, possessive and loves to take care of Jade in every way possible. He doesn’t try to control her or stifle her independent and stubborn streak, but her comfort, happiness and safety are his priorities. Locke hates keeping their relationship a secret, but he follows Jade’s lead. Their chemistry is off the charts, supernova hot. There is plenty of flirty banter and steamy encounters between the two soulmates. The family drama only adds to their delightfully addictive story.

**Secret Romance!**

*Say My Name* is the second book in the *Whispering Oaks: Steel & Seduction* series. I loved Jade and Locke together; they were truly perfect for each other. The only issue is Jace, Jade’s older brother, who is also Locke’s best friend, which makes Jade supposedly off-limits. For years, neither of them has crossed that line—until now. There is no stopping their undeniable heat and chemistry as they secretly navigate their relationship. They are both completely swoon-worthy over each other while also trying to figure out how to let Jace know before he finds out from someone else.

Baker had me hooked from the very start with the exciting dynamic of the brother's best friend, complete with fun and easy banter. It’s impossible not to fall in love with Locke and Jade. I am so looking forward to Jace’s book, knowing it is next!

This is book two in the author’s Whispering Oaks: Steel Seduction series and features Locke and Jade in this brother’s best friend, blue collar romance.

This one starts out a little different than most romances I’ve read, the MCs are already together in an established relationship with each other when it begins so it starts off hot and heavy and never lets up. We didn’t have to wait for them to decide whether or not they wanted each other or anything, just BAM! And Locke…that man is sex on a stick! His sweet, dirty, talkin’ definitely upped the heat factor on this already spicy read and I was more than half in love with him myself when I finished the book… I don’t mind saying, he’s my newest book boyfriend!

This isn’t a book you want to miss if you love a good, sweet, hardworking man with a filthy mouth and if you happen to also like a brother’s best friend… well you’ve just hit the jackpot!! 4.5 stars

Say My Name is ridiculously over the top hot in the best way possible. I mean, this is a sizzling, fiery, off the charts smoke show of awesomeness. Locke is the ultimate book boyfriend, and Jade is too adorable for words while also self-respecting, strong, independent, and caring. These two are so perfect for each other, and each turn of the page just solidifies it even more. Author Tory Baker is a rockstar author who creates the most delicious and drama-free couples that are so devoted to each other in every way. I devoured Locke and Jade, loving their connection as these down to earth individuals navigate life, family, friends, and love. This is a great read if you like lots of spice and caring, no third act breakup, and plenty of found family too.

Tory Baker knows how to bring the heat! Locke is crazy about Jade. Jade is crazy about Locke. These two are in a secret relationship. Why? Jade is the little sister to Jace. Jace is Jade’s big brother and also Locke’s best friend. So for right now, Jade and Locke are a secret to everyone. These two belong together like peanut butter and jelly, macaroni and cheese - it’s not good to break them up. It’s sexy, hot, spicy, passionate and you can feel the love they have for each other. I loved the characters. They are definitely good together. Locke knows Jade is the one and only. Jade has been in love with Locke for what seems like forever. She knows he is the one! Great characters! Great story! Next up Jace - can’t wait.

Say My Name is the second book in the Steel and Seduction series by Tory Baker. Jade and Locke are in a committed, secret relationship and both are afraid that Jade's brother Jace is going to find out. They know they should tell him but, for some reason, they can't quite do it and you know how that usually works out. But their love is the forever type of love and they're lost in their feelings when Jace happens upon them. As expected, he loses his mind and goes straight into papa bear mode as he tries to "save" his sister from Locke.
I really enjoyed the story and I feel that Jade and Locke were richly developed characters with heart, heat and passion.
Julian Sinclair is a tremendous voice actor. His dynamic delivery with the proper pace and intonation brings each character to life with a unique attitude and personality.

Jade and Locke

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶️🌶️🌶️

Jade is bartender who isn’t afraid to speak her mind. I think it’s hard for her to accept help because she wants to be independent

Locke is such a good MMC! Very protective and possessive He likes to take care of her without wanting anything in return.

“You mean everything to me, and what you bring to the table isn’t measured in monetary shit.”

I was really glad they were able to overcome the issues Jace had with their relationship. Jade and Locke are definitely meant to be. You could really feel the chemistry between the two of them. Jade and Locke’s spice pages had my jaw dropped! Well written and very hot!

I’m very excited for Jace’s book Between The Sheets! I’m looking forward to reading it in April!

The need to be
in eachothers constant presence
exceeds everything else!
They choose a secret relationship,
to keep it a secret from his best friend
and her family.

But life has other plans per usual.
And everything reveals
in the most dramatic way!

I got the feeling
that the story ended tooooo soon!
But everything is there in the open
inside their bubble.
Feelings, touches, glances, expressions.
They hide nothing,
they are totally unguarded.
The irresistible attraction,
the possessiveness,
the temptation,
the devotion.

The confidence they belong together
is unwavering.
All their feelings are written in their faces.
Every touch is full of undeclared love.

When he says "sugar"
and she responds by whispering his name...
well we melt with them!!!

Jade and Locke are secretly together, and honestly? They're both low-key terrified that Jade's brother, Jace, is going to find out. They know they should just tell him already, but they keep putting it off, which never ends well because you know Jace WILL find out and the sh… will hit the fan.

And yep, it goes exactly how you'd expect. Jace loses it and becomes big bro protective in a super annoying way and tries to save his little sister from Locke, whether she wants it or not.

It is nothing new as a trope and honestly, not done well or interestingly. Listened on 2.5 speed for the last half of the book just to get it done.

Him calling him “my woman” repeatedly gave me such an ick. And the ending left me even more icked. Not the book for me at all.

Locke is Jade’s secret. Jade is Locke’s secret. He has loved her for a while but wants to preserve his friendship with her older brother his best friend. Their relationship is hidden but very obvious to those who watch when big brother is not around. Blatant signs that these two are together and yet his best friend, a.k.a., her brother doesn’t want to acknowledge that they have a relationship. Jay wants to be independent and yet her brother has a tracker on her phone and still wants to be the man of the house, since their father was not there. Conflict? Absolutely. Realistic situation of siblings versus lover’s interactions. Performance of narrator was very good. Only one near raider versus dual or multiple narrators. There’s a good baseline of a story. This is book 2 of the series.

Locke has been in love with Jade, his best friend’s sister, for a while and he was no longer able to deny his feelings. Knowing how her brother would react they have been keeping their relationship secret while they try to find the perfect time to tell him until that choice is no longer theirs.

Jade loves Locke but she also loves her protective brother as well. She knows that her brother will not be happy they are together, but she isn’t about to let come between her and the man she loves.

There was never any doubt that Locke and Jade are perfect for each other in every way and the heat between Locke and Jade radiates off the pages.

Book 2 of the Whispering Oaks: Steel & Seduction series. Can be read as a standalone.

'There’s only one problem — she’s my best friend’s sister and ten years younger than me. Completely off-limits…and impossible to resist.'

The characters were very complex and complicated and possessive and perfectly steamy together. Plot was intriguing and intense and well paced. World building was excellent and solidly drawn. All in all a great addition to the series. Enjoyed immensely and highly recommend.

This is a very basic brother’s-best-friend story, and I’m sad to say that the plot is old and unoriginal. Tropes exist for a reason and they are a great framework for a story. But when a book has nothing new to say about a trope, or no new angle or approach, then it’s boring.
However, the chemistry between Locke and Jade is really compelling and the sexytime is, as a result, top tier. It’s the sexytime that redeems the story into something readable. If this book was erotica and didn’t try to have a plot, I’d have given it five stars.

I always love when the author at their playlist to the beginning of a book because I feel like it gives me a glimpse into their mindset when they were riding the book. Also I love when an alpha man kisses the woman's head I find that so romantic. Locke is best friends with Jade's older brother. They've been keeping their relationship a secret because they know her brother is not going to be happy. But when a accident happened he finds out before they can tell him. Eventually he's able to see that his best friend and sister truly love each other and move aside and let them have their happily ever after.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Jade McKay & Locke. Jade knows the one man she wants is the one man she never should want is the only one she wants. When she gets a chance to spend time with him she takes full advantage of it. Locke knows his best friend will kill him if he could ever read his thoughts. When he gets the chance to be Jades knight in shining armor he is going to take full advantage of this. Can these two find a HEA or will others make sure that never happens?

Another hit out of the park by this author. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Locke and Jade are in a secret forbidden relationship at the start of this story which I wasn't expecting. It felt like I was missing the beginning part of their story but the sneaking around and the smexy times were all top tier and very well done. I loved it.

Their tension and chemistry really drove the story. There's a little conflict when their secret is revealed and the author does put her own spin on the classic younger sister/brother's bestie trope but I wish it had been just a little longer to really be able to sink into their romance.

I voluntarily read and reviewed this book. All thoughts are my own.

For Locke and Jade keeping their relationship secret has been hard. Jades brother, Locke’s best friend, they don’t know how much longer they can keep Jude in the dark, but as their feelings grow, wanting so much more then slips of time together, their secret won’t be secret much longer. Full of intense romance, emotion and family drama, Tory pulls you into a new and exciting world where the men are intense and Hot, and the women fall fast and hard.

The chemistry between these two was on fire, they fitted so well together and trusted each other and supported one another completely. I really enjoyed seeing their relationship grow and seeing them together made me smile. I knew some trouble was on the horizon but something else I did not see happened too which added another layer to their story. I enjoyed catching up with past characters from the Whispering Oaks world, and I enjoyed seeing all the love that was on display in this story.

I really enjoyed Say My Name by Tory Baker. I am most definitely a fan of forbidden brother's best friend romance so I was excited for Jade and Locke's story. Jade has crushed on Locke for a long time and now Locke has finally noticed her. He knows she is without a doubt the one for him but he also knows she's completely off limits as his best friend's little sister. But when they finally get together, there is no going back. Locke is determined to prove to Jace that he and Jade belong together.

Tory Baker is a favorite author of mine, she know how to grab onto her readers from the 1st page to the last. The story of Locke and Jade is one of not being able to go after the girl that you want because she is your best friend's sister and younger than me; but once the line is crossed you will not give up regardless of consequences. This is the 2nd book in the Whispering Oaks: Steel & Seduction series and you will be sorry if you miss it.

Jade and Locke have been crushing on each other for years, so when they finally get together, they decide to keep it a secret because of her brother and his best friend, Jace. Brother's best friend romance is one of my favorite genres, and this is a great one, from the great writing and well developed characters, to the steamy storyline and happily ever after. Say My Name is book two and a wonderful addition to the Whispering Oaks: Steel & Seduction series. I look forward to reading the rest of the series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

What a wonderful story! A very powerful love right from the start with Locke and Jade! These two are absolutely gone for each other and you can definitely feel it! A fast paced, sweet, very enjoyable story with a tad bit of angst. Loved these characters and great to be back in Whispering Oaks! A great romance that I definitely recommend! This is my honest opinion of this complimentary copy of this book
