I listened to the audiobook, and it kept my interest through the whole book. The narrator was skilled and easy to listen to. The content took me through many different emotions from laughter to anger/frustration and sadness. And it kept me guessing where Bernadette went! I definitely recommend listening to this one!
Just loved this book. The correspondence takes you inside the minds of the various characters which is excruciating in how they take differing views on the same events. I really identified with the main character and her daughter and their outlooks on life. Funny and insightful.
A great and entertaining read! The book is every bit as funny as the movie. She gives a light but very moving insight into the person of Bernadette, her lead character. Lovers of adventure and architecture will appreciate this novel. Maria Semple is a great writer.
