You Can Write - Really is truly a book that guides beginning writers in writing fiction. The Table of Contents is set up in an easy to follow format and depicts exactly what you are getting in each section and chapter, which makes it easy to go back for reference when needed.

Topics that the author, Kelly Wilkins, covers is the Creative Process, Getting in a Zone, and Writing Exercises. Other topics covered in detail are ideas and characters in your story. Point of View is covered in detail - First Person, Second Person, etc.

Readers will find themselves writing by the time they get to Part 3 titled Get Writing. At the end of the book, the author gives the reader advice on submitting their work and marketing their writing, as well as receiving rejection letters.

I agreed to review this book as a challenge to myself. I write non-fiction and some of it reads like a horror story. After coming up against a few roadblocks, I was encouraged by a couple of writer friends to try my hand at fiction writing. I thought this book might help me and it did.

I found You can Write informative, well-written and organized; making it extremely helpful to a beginner writer. I am giving the book five stars.

I was given this book, in return for an honest review.

Upon reading this book, I figured it would be another someone giving their opinion on how everyone should write. As I got into this book, I discovered that it wasn't that way at all. It was more of a guideline, and it was kept very simple that anyone, from the beginning writer, to a more adept write could understand and go along with. The steps in this book is very relatable to my own personal experience as a writer, especially the part about the "Lazy writer" and yes i'm paraphrasing on that. I've made plenty of excuses to write.

This book has made me actually want to go back into writing, and actually follow through with it, even if it doesn't go anywhere. While reading this book, I actually took notes and while I do my writing I will have this book close by in case I need it especially on the actual writing of the book parts.

This book I rated as 5 stars, because it was easy to follow along with, very understandle and relatable. Also, it inspired me to get myself back into writing, and to do it the right way instead of what I did before. Write a chapter then edit the chapter, that is where I faltered with my writing, instead of just writing it until the end and then doing the editing.

I received a free ecopy of this book from the author for an honest review.

When I started this book, I realized that it is more than just a book to read once. It has exercises for the reader (wanna be writer) to do, and if you do all of the exercises, by the time you have finished the book, you will have a good start at your first short story or novel.

I’m sure there are many ways to write a book but Kelli A. Wilkins does a good job at helping a potential writer become an actual writer. She gives a lot of good pointers, the first one being to set aside an hour every day to write, no excuses.

If you’re one of the many people who want to write a book but you don’t know where to start, getting this book would be a great start! I read it through once without doing the exercises and now I’m going to start over and do the exercises as I go.

The Author, Kelli A. Wilkins pens her newest book "You Can Write—Really!" in practical wording and easy to follow advice on how to write. I love how she broke down each section of the writing process and includes exercises on each topic she touches. Honestly I'm not a writer, but after reading this book I can see me giving it a try...and I will be passing the information over to by brother in-law, who has written a few books, so he purchase and enjoy for himself. I highly recommend this book to everyone and anyone who ever wanted to write their own books, as well as those who have written books before.

This book isn't just for beginning writers, it has something for writers at every stage. With sections such as Meet the muse, Excuses, Ideas, Characters, Marketing, etc, whatever you're looking for, there's something here to learn from.

I have a lot of writing books, and some of them deliver on their promises, some don't. But this book breaks down the writing process and shares tips and tricks to help you to learn and grow.

No matter where you are on your journey as a writer, you'll get something out of this book. I highly recommend it as a reference and as a way to inspire and encourage you to move past writing blocks, and tap into your creativity.

Kelli uses a positive, friendly approach in this book. I feel like I'm getting advice from a friend. Getting advice from someone who knows what she is talking about. This book is easy to follow and informative.
