Kers’ dungeon flew too high. Now he has the attention of a god.
Therrill, the ruling deity of the planet whose very atmosphere Kers resides in, is on the warpath, hellbent on his destruction.
Worse, his dungeon fairy, Selena, has been taken captive and stands accused of treason. The Overslime is missing. And civil unrest threatens to boil over in his companion city, Liraffemyn.
The stakes couldn’t be higher. Kers will have to spawn his craziest mobs, devise his most devious traps, and expand his influence toward the stars if he is to have any hope of striking back to save his family.
But if Kers has learned one thing from his time as a dungeon core, it’s how to deal with a bit of altitude…
Poor editing. Think I caught more than one editing error within the first 40 minutes. Definitely the following though: ...pairy fair... Above one makes me think the narration is either the VA using AI or he had a major brain glitch. I couldn't believe my ears at first, and I listened to it over and over, thinking I myself must be glitching only to conclude otherwise. There are more errors of a similar nature in the rest of the book.. so overall poor editing all the way through to the audiobook format.
Prologue/start of the book felt confusing. This may have been ameliorated if I'd reread the prior books in preparation for this one but I did not.
Misuse of the word murder throughout the book in my opinion.
The series continues to have far too many interludes, that break the flow of the story. In this book all the stakes went flying wildly out the window with everything escalating far too fast to make any sense, and while it did happen in earlier books in the series in this one it was especially bad about everything at the end just being pulled out of nowhere with little to no buildup on it actually happening.
A great wrap up to an interesting story with just the right amount of number crunching and inside nerd jokes. Truck-kun you'll get yours...... anyway. SBT team did an amazing job with the audio presentation as well. Glad to have a story you can finish in a few books instead of these 50 book series that seam to be popular these days.
The attemp at politics fails, especially since the main character doesn't seem to care. The issues are just ignored until they blow up at the end. And the ending is sudden and incredibly unsatisfying. The ending for this series is forced and tedious.
