I am not quite sure where this book popped up from but it was one of the most awful books I have ever read. As such even though it was such a small book it dragged on forever and forever while I just wanted to toss it.

The book is suppose to be about psychic/supernatural animals while including real stories. When all is seen and done there really weren't that many "real" stories but instead the majority of the book was taken up by the "tests" prepared for your pet, a quiz for you and finally the answer key at the back of the book. As a result most of the book wasn't even worth reading.

Now where to start on this hot mess. First of all the quizzes are given after every story while it basically asks questions about the story you read. Then you receive a chance to pick from multiple answer with the first one always being a skeptic answer, the second it may be and the last one the pink glasses agree with what the author suggested from the re-told tale. As such the author then presumes to tell the reader what type of person they are, their favorite color, what they can or can't do just because of their skeptical, maybe or I agree answers. Definite hogwash!

The tests are just as ridiculous and time-wasters as the quiz mentioned above. In a few of them they want you to tape in plastic or wrap food up in aluminum foil while acting there is no way your pet doesn't have the good senses of its species to be able to smell around or through these items. So I would say that the tests are conclusive.

Furthermore there is one point where the author insists you put yourself into a possible danger situation with your pet as long as you have an adult with you. Why would you do something like that? Maybe you aren't smart enough to stay out of dangerous situations but never should you allow yourself or your innocent pet to be in a bad situation even with an adult present.

Then the last straw for me was the fact that the pet psychic and whisperers who were telling their stories supposedly chose to objectify their animals. There was one case where it was mentioned as a mare but then when the pronoun was used she was called an it instead. Animals are either male or female so you don't need to use it, especially if you love them as much as you claim.

And that even goes to the author not knowing that teasing and playing are two different. If someone chooses to tease you that is done out of meanness and/or spite while I would never call that person a playmate.

In the end the book is a disqualification to the subject on all levels and makes a mockery of all those times where true paranormal events are presented. In no way should an adult or a child want to read this and put their pet through this trash.
