Carmel Blythe is a strong, independent woman who is a submissive to her husband and master Gideon. They had a great relationship until Gideon was injured in combat. Carmel has coped with her husband’s disability with little complain. A gift from her husband on her birthday sets their relationship into a tail spin and makes her reevaluate everything.
Gideon Blythe was injured by a bullet that lodged into his spine leaving him in a wheelchair unable to feel anything below the waist. While he enjoys sex with his wife, there are somethings he is unable to do. Gideon is a Dom and is able to command everyone around him. I love how he is not bitter about how his life is different that he planned on. What I was really struck by was how much he loved his wife and I get the feeling that bringing Nash in would have happened even if he was not in a wheelchair. Gideon’s biggest problem with his plan was he did not talk to his wife and sub about what he was doing.
Nash Jonas agrees to top Carmel at Gideon’s insistence. They have shared woman in the past but not Carmel. It’s easy to see that Nash falls for Carmel after spending time with her. However, Nash’s guilt over Gideon’s injury and his feeling for Carmel send him reeling.
The chemistry and connection that Carmel, Gideon, and Nash have is very intense. The only thing that I was not able to get past was how fast Nash and Carmel were willing to say they loved each other. I found it unrealistic at that speed in which it happened. The sex scenes were scorching.
I found this book well written with a unique plot, and one that I have not really seen before. I enjoyed how the author addressed Gideon’s disability and a ménage relationship in a realistic and believable way. The main characters and the secondary characters were captivating. I enjoyed how the book ended as well as how the characters arrived at the end. Overall, this was a very magnificent book and I hope to see these characters again in the future. Carmel gets a surprise birthday gift from her husband, his best friend. How can she possibly accept it, she loves her husband. But since his accident she’s been missing something and her husbands gift is exactly what she needs.
Nash feels responsible for Gideon’s accident, he wouldn’t be in a wheelchar if it wasn’t for him. So when he’s asked to join their marriage he doesn’t know what to do. And when he’s asked to go to her and tell her that he’s her gift he isn’t sure how she will respond.
Gideon hasn’t felt like the husband he should be since he was forced to spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair. He knows what Carmel needs and he knows that he can’t give it to her. He knows that Nash will complete them but he doesn’t know if she will accept it.
When Nash appears telling her that he’s her gift what will she do? And what happens when she learns what Gideon and Nash have decided without talking to her first? Will their marriage survive or will she be able to accept it and move on?
This was such a heartwarming book. You can tell how much love they have for each other and I found myself tearing up a few times. I love when an author can bring out emotions like that.

What happens when your master gives you the birthday gift of another man for the night? This is what happens to Carmel on an evening out to a friend's wedding when 'her present' turns up in the form of Nash. Why would her master off her another man when every thing is going well between them. Okay, since the incident that put him in a wheelchair things haven't been the same but they are great together and they love each other, don't they? And if she succumbs to a night with Nash, what happens afterwards.
The situation that brings these three people together is heart-breaking. But despite their individual conflicts about the situation, they all have one thing in common. Their need for each other.
I love stories that tap into the human element and this author balances the kink with life issues well. The scenes are smoking hot and I was rooting for all three of them. You will need a pitcher of ice cold tea for this one.

Carmel's husband and Master has sent her a birthday present - his best friend Nash. He wants to gift her with a night of passion that he's been unable to give her since his injury. She isn't sure how to feel about it, but gives in to the attraction that she feels for Nash. Nash has his own issues about being with Carmel as he has been in love with her for some time and carries the guilt for that as well as for the accident that put his friend and her husband in the wheelchair. Gideon wants very much for the two people he loves most to be together, but there's more as he wants them to be a triad. When Carmel and Nash finds out his plan it throws them for a loop. Then they share a meal together and things definitely get heated after that. What I loved about their story is that there was overwhelming love shared between the three. Not just passion, but a genuine love that fueled that passion. I really enjoyed their story.

Wow...I'd like to be Nash's little kitten. This story was sexy, no doubt. The characters are easy to like, and I could really see another coming on with Carmel's bestie Nicole and her husband as they learn how to become truly dominant and submissive.
Carmel is married to Gideon and has been for a while. He comes home from the military as a paraplegic. His best friend Nash stays away because he feels guilty AND because he knows he'll fall for Gideon's wife. I don't like to synopsize the story in my reviews, so I'll you if you like hot n sexy this could easily be a read for you. If you like M/F/M this is a book to read. If you like your stories slightly emotional, with a little angst, grab Carmel's Choice.

Omg what a beautiful heart warming sexy story! The first couple pages pulled me in instantly and I knew it was going to be good. I just didn't know it was going to be that good. When one little subbie had to choose between her Dom husband and the Dom of her dreams... well why not have both? Well find out for yourself if she could survive with both without someone getting hurt. This is a sizzling scorching story that will make you feel so much. I highly recommend this story!

This is the first book I have read by Doris and I really enjoyed it. I found it to be a quick and engrossing read. I was not sure how I would feel about an open relationship but I think it's done really well. There are a lot of hot sex scenes but that's not all this book is. I enjoyed the plot and relationship between Carmel, Gideon and Nash outside the bedroom too. It is a BDSM story but I felt like it wasn't too extreme I will definitely look for other books by Doris.

I liked this Carmel is such a wonderful woman to stand by Gideon after his accident and she wants nothing in return, Then when Nash enters the picture I'm a little torn. I'm glad she gets what she needs but not expecting this outcome. A good story, but I do wish the plot had expanded a little more.
