New town, Opening a bakery was the future. Mari and Ginger had a plan and they had a few months to decide if they wanted to stay or not. The dead man in the alley behind the bakery was not part of the plan. The simple solution was not expected to be challenged by the new comer.
Mari's eye for details and Ginger's good instincts disrupted the narrative the town was already believing.
Detective Cross listened to her and seemed to trust a dog's instinct.
The more questions Mari asked the more the towns people pushed back.
Could she figure out who was responsible before the wrong person was blamed or before she was and ran out of town?
