Rhett was happy living his reclusive life ever since he left the police force, as it allowed him to do what needed to be done to ease his darkness. However, Rhett soon discovered that he already had a connection with Elara and her sister, which sent his protective instincts into overdrive.
Rhett did everything possible to spend time getting to know Elara, which allowed her to slowly trust him and build on her attraction for him. Unfortunately, just as Rhett and Elara settled into their relationship, their lives were turned upside down when they received news about her stalker’s escape from prison. Whilst the news made Elara anxious, she realised that she had Rhett’s protection, so she made the decision to work with him to resolve the matter.
Regrettably, Rhett and Elara’s plans didn’t pan out and they found themselves in a dangerous situation, but they were finally able to deal with her stalker permanently, so they could work together towards the happy life they deserved. The gripping story quickly captivated me and pulled me in, where the stunning twists in the story delivered the raw emotions and nerve wracking tension experienced by the characters. It starts with a bang and intense start and then picks up one year later in the aftermath of what happened to Elara and her younger sister Mira when her stalker attacked. Rhett is ex-military, ex-cop, and now a bounty hunter. He is sharp, quick, assessing, and that is before you even get to his sexy possessive and protective side. They meet when Elara and Mira are moving into their new home, a cabin in Gunnison Peaks, and Rhett is driving home after dropping off his last catch. He spots a young girl picking flowers on the side of the road a young woman trying to drag a couch up the driveway, without a lot of success. He decides to stop and help .... thus starts them all on a new life.
This is a story that I was on the fence about for a while after reading it. I am still going back and forth with the MC's, as some things I liked and some things annoyed me about each character. But in the end it was an entertaining read that had some smexy fun, romance and love woven in with danger, lose and pain.

A tragedy connects and inevitably changes three people's lives. A connection that brings back light into their lives. Doesn't feel like an overly possessive hero. The little sister positively surprised me with her brightness, resilience. Both protagonists walk a gray area, which I leave them there. Goodness isn't lost in them; they live their lives together as best they can with their circumstances in a harsh world.
Some details of the story aren't going well together for me. Some of the protagonists' physical reactions, wandering thoughts seem excessive or unnecessary to know. The stalker doesn't know the real reasons for his obsession, and his actions are a bit weird. The heroine's attitude toward killing is also a concern.

What a great story. I loved Elara and Rhett. Her being closed off to relationships and having a guarded heart. Rhett being done with the police force and living his jigger quietly. He has an attraction to Elara but didn’t want to push. I respected him so much for that. But once they found out that Elaras stalker was out of prison, they both worked together to put that out of her life. I loved the romance, the quiet pining, and the suspense in this story. It really captivated me and I couldn’t wait to find out what was going to happen next.

I love love loved My Possessive Protector by Flora Ferrari. Once I began reading Elara and Rhett's story I was hooked. The moment he saw Ella standing on the side of the road he was drawn to her. After the trauma Elle suffered from her stalker, trust does not come easy but the chemistry between them was off the charts explosive. Rhett is a dangerous man and he will stop at nothing to destroy Elle's stalker, the man that murdered her parents leaving Elle and her little sister Mira alone. Definite page turner.

Elle and Rhett is such make an unlikely couple, but they just work so well. Given Rhett's line of work, he understands fully Elle's trauma - not least because he was part of the crew who responded when she and her family was attacked. The attraction between them is mutual and instantaneous, that it was so satisfying when they finally came together. A really good dark romance story.

Ready to read a 5/5-star romance book then here it is. Rhett and Elara entertained me from start to finish. The characters have some terrific chemistry. I felt like I was right there with the characters when they go to the restaurant. This scene made me smile and it was really romantic to read. Flora did a really good job writing this book.

I enjoyed reading My Possessive Protector. Once I started reading Rhett and Elara's story I didn't want to put it down. The characters are great and you could feel the chemistry between them. I felt it was well worth the time spent reading. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

This is an addictive read that is fast paced and a little in the morally grey area. I enjoyed every bit of the story. The story is about Rhett and Elara. He is fierce and protective once he decides to be. He steps up to protect her and does not go half in but full throttle ahead. I enjoyed the suspense, action, danger and other aspects of the story.

Okay at this point Flora know what she’s doing with her books and men. I mean this is yet another good book of hers. The moment I picked it up I couldn’t stop reading and had to finish in one go. In this one you’ll lose yourself and left wondering what was that. It’s really good.

Elara and Rhett have an instant connection that they can't deny. They get to know each other, and he protects her with everything he's got. I liked that he was so protective of her. The story is quick and steamy. It was fun!
