The Hinton Grove Chronicles #1
Whisked Off Her Feet: A cosy small-town romance
From the best-selling author of the Shadowborn series comes a new cozy romance that will keep you warm during these cold months.
Life in a small town has many advantages, such as friendly neighbours and quiet streets. However, there are downsides. In Hinton Grove, everyone knows everything about you, including all the dirty details of the break-up that destroyed you.
Holly co-owns the town's only bakery, and was content to live out her life with her childhood sweetheart. That was, until he left her behind for bigger and better things.
Learning to piece herself back together again, she struggles through, writing off men for good. Her resolve is almost immediately tested when three handsome city folk move into the shop beside hers.
What starts as rivalry between businesses soon becomes something different, something more, and not just with Bear, the new owner, but all three of the men who have come barrelling into her life.
Can Holly allow her heart to heal? Will she turn away the advances of the newcomers, or will she truly be whisked off her feet?
The book is aimed at readers 18+

There was such potential with this storyline but to me it fell flat. There was minimal character development and the insta-soulmate vibe was not believable. It was tough to get over the grammatical errors in the kindle unlimited edition (especially using two different names for the ex, Jake vs Jason, and for the town name).

There was a lot of inconsistency here - something was mentioned and then several chapters later it was mentioned again and treated like it was new information (it happened at least in three different situations).
The story ended abruptly and without a proper HEA (there was a conflict with the ex just a few minutes before the end).
We didn’t get to know the guys much or see them share their stories with Holly and unfortunately the instalove from the guys’ side felt strange. Especially from Clay whose darkness didn’t much fit the story.

Whisked off her feet 🥐👩🍳
Holly owns a bakery with her sister Ivy, in a small and cozy town.
But there’s about to be some business rivalry… 3 men turning the building next door into a gym, next to a bakery!
Clayton, Bear and Elliot are about to change her life. It’s very much an insta-love story. The boys all had really interesting backgrounds and I wish we could’ve seen more of them all together.

“I want to be on my knees before you every day, treating you like the queen you are."
🥖 Whisked Off Her Feet by Erin O Kane 🥖
A cute cozy small town romance with hot men? Well Whisked Off Her Feet is the perfect book for you! This is Erin O Kane's newest book in The Hinton Grove Chronicles, just what you need to keep you warm in the cold weather.
“Let us in, Holly. No part of you is too much, or not enough. You are perfect for us, and we want to show you what real love should look like.”
I was lucky enough to receive the ARC for this and was so excited to jump into this new world Erin has created. The FMC, Holly, was so relatable and instantly loveable, her personality was so bubbly and sweet yet she still knew what she wanted. And then men!, Clayton, Bear and Elliott, Oh my I still can't decide on who is my favourite. I am a sucker for a why choose so this just hit the spot!
The world building was detailed and you could really picture the small town cozy vibes. I also really enjoyed the way that everyone knew everyone in the town, it really helped with the world building and the overall storyline as well. I thought it really added to Holly's journey throughout this book!
“What we didn’t realise was that our dream wasn’t the business, it was you.”
Sweet and spicy, the perfect combination for this kind of book. If you are a sucker for a why choose like myself then this is definitely up your street!

OK, so not going to lie, a little between a three and four for me, but obviously went with four. I was interested enough to stay up late and finish this. The story had me intrigued about just how everything worked out.
However, there were some things that bothered me.
I didn’t read the blurb or tropes for this. I was reeled in by this cute-ass cover. I feel completely bamboozled. This is a why choose that absolutely does not come across from the cover. Not a problem, just completely unexpected.
Elliot didn’t get enough time. I got the flirty connection from the meet-cute, but then he kind of disappeared for a while. Their coupledom was quick, lackluster, and just didn’t flow.
Clay was clearly and very sternly against sharing. I just don’t find it believable that he changed his mind so easily and quickly.
I liked Bear the best. Definitely think this would have worked with him alone.
The sister storyline was random. It felt like it was left undone. You never find out her motive. She just sucked. This part didn’t really connect to anything else.
I’d honestly probably read another book from this author maybe about Ashley.

What a cozy-feel good story!
Holly, a small town baker, tries to move forward with her life after her shitty ex left her to live his life! And when the 3 new guys tried to open a new shop next to her…. Encounters happened 👀
I love that this book was all about healing and moving forward with the people you deserved. Holly stick to her ground for her backers and surrounded herself with encouraging and loving person. Person who are deserving of her.
I wish we could have a bit more of Eliott but I understand not everyone will jump straight into what they want as Clay 😂
If you’re looking for a cozy and quick read where the story is center about the FMC and her relationship with the MMC, then this story is for you ♥️
Cozy read • found family • reverse harem • baker • possessive • holy soufflé 🧁

“Imagine going your whole life without seeing the stars. You know they’re up there, as you’ve watched other people discover them, and then one day, you see them. The constellations shining so brightly above you that it opens a whole new universe that you never even dreamed of. Then, it’s all gone. Now, the sky is dark, and I can’t see the stars any longer. I can still function, knowing they’re there, but without them in my life, there is no beauty.”
I enjoyed this story. The plot was entertaining and kept my attention. The characters were ok. I like Holly and thought she was very relatable. I like Bear and Clay, but Elliot, I could do without. He was just to heavly against Holly, and after one kiss, decides she ok now. Overall, this was a good read, and I would suggest it to anyone who likes why-choose or small-town romance.

Such a sweet cozy read!
Holly is broken after who she thought was the love of her life broke up with her and left her behind after crushing her self confidence. But she has her bakery and the town she loves so she's ok, right?
Except a new store is coming to town, a gym and health bar right next door and won't that throw off her costumers? If only the owners didn't have such a magnetic pull... and if her sister didn't want to sell her share of the bakery... and if her ex didn't come back into town just as she was finding herself again...
The only thing I wish we had gotten a better resolution was the sister, I thought it was going to be a big thing and then it just faded out? Who was the buyer? Why did she actually want to sell? Was there something more behind it?

Thank you Erin O’Kane for allowing me to ARC read Whisked Off Her Feet! I love a good why choose and this one certainly did not disappoint!
There are a few minor gaps in the story, where I felt like things weren’t necessarily clear. The progression was easy follow and had a great pace. It was hard not to get hooked! All of the characters where great, except for you know who… I also think there were a lot of moments that could have been expanded on, especially in the beginning where Holly met all of the guys! I wish we got even more of them than we already do!
This was such a fun read and a great story about accepting yourself and realizing that you deserve everything and more 🧡

I was a giggling fool reading this book! I loved Holly from page 1, I could tell she was such a genuine person and truly cared about her business and the town people. It was fun to watch her grow into a stronger version of herself while also trying to navigate her relationships with the new business owners next door. Not only are they opening a gym next to her bakery, but they just so happen to be the 3 most attractive men she’s ever seen. This book has too much tension and banter, I absolutely loved it!! This book is a why choose so if that’s something you’re into you definitely need to get this book!

This is definitely different to the stories I've read from this author before, but the writing is raw and real. It's a cosy romance, set in Hinton Grove. Holly, the FMC, has broken up with her, her childhood sweetheart and living in a town where everyone knows everyone, she wants a fresh start, moving to Hinton Grove with her best friend, Ashley. What she doesn't expect is to be whisked off her feet.
As I mentioned already, this is a different vibe from a lot of the author's other stories, which have mostly been paranormal. This didn't affect how much I enjoyed the story, though; it was real and showed the kind of emotions you go through with a breakup. Overall, a really enjoyable read.

I had a lot of trouble deciding how to rate this one. It’s a nice, easy read - everything you can expect from a cozy small town romance. However, the instalove did a lot of heavy lifting as the characters barely know each other. I didn’t feel the chemistry and as a reader I could barely tell you more than 3 things about each character. It’s not a bad book, just not entirely my cup of tea. I prefer more depth and more relationship building.
So a good fit for people who like instalove and books that are cozy and don’t require much thought, which unfortunately isn’t me.

🧁Holy Souffle! A Sweet, happy, comfort read. That’s what Whisked Off Her Feet was for me. I really enjoyed this book and once I started, I didn’t stop until I’d finished. Looking forward to this dropping in my library, on release day, for future re-reads. (Also, for those that are not a fan of Why Choose – this is a true Reverse Harem)🧁

cozy small town romance, get whisked away by instant connections, with a side angry to lovers. getting over your terrible ex is definitely easier when you have new neighbours that adore you and a best friend who would happily punch him in the face.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Erin O'Kane has a way of writing amazing characters that make you fall in love with them, and Holly is no different. I love how the three men put her back together and make her stronger. Amazing read.

I wish we could see more of Elliot and their dynamic.

I adored this book! The spice, the angst, the plot! So good! It was so heartfelt and perfect.

I I love Erin’s writing, whisked off her feet was no exception. I was expecting a sweet contemporary romance, what I ended up with was a steamy why choose with complex charters with their own backstories that gave a lot of emotion. Erin was able to portray the real emotions that I feel would come with friends all loving the same woman.

This was a cute small-town romance! It was a really easy read, with a fun group of characters.
Holly owns and runs a bakery, and the three love interests open a business next-door together. She isn't immediately happy, worrying that their business will scare off her customers, but she soon changes her tune.
I liked the way she met each of the men, all at different times, without even realising they knew one another. Each interaction was very different but equally as fun. Enjoyed this story!
