An amusing and well narrated novella set in modern times with an arrogant Holmes, clueless Watson addicted to working mysteries with Sherlock yet often apologizing for him, and a strange case at a ski resort in Germany.
I don’t know why so many pastiches have Watson extra critical of Holmes. I guess it’s hard to catch the essence of the original characters and their friendship unless that’s not what these authors are going for.
Thanks to MX Publishing for this.

The only negative is that at 97 pages, it is a bit brief for a stand alone novel. Adding one more story would have been great!

My thanks to Steve and Timi at MX Publishing for my review copy of this book. You guys rock!

This story takes the unusual twist of putting Holmes and Watson into modern times! But at heart they still remain Holmes and Watson, even if they call each other “Sherlock” and “John.” They even live at 221B under the care of Mrs. Hudson!

Watson and girlfriend Lisa are taking a couple’s Holiday to ski in the German Alps. Holmes is moody due to a lack of cases. Watson and Lisa manage to talk him into joining them in Lenggries, Germany Republic.

A mystery arrives in the form of accidents on the ski slope. All of the injured people are minus their safety helmets. Their helmets have been stolen in every case. Then a man dies as a result of his accident…

The story is well written. From the viewpoint of a rather unique look at the world of Sherlock Holmes, I would call it a “must read!” Enemies, allies, and locations from the original stories make an appearance in this short story. I’ll give it four stars, as it is a tad brief for a single story book…

I just love adventures of Sherlock Holmes, it's amazing to follow around his great mind!

Reading detective is amazing! Especially when the case is solved. The feeling nothing else can give you, the enlightenment!

The only bad thing about this book is...
...that it's so short! :D

*I'd totally read it in one day but I was really bussy with school and some personal things
