Book Two in The Threads of Destiny Series by Kimberlie L. Faye...
She holds a desperate and fragile gift... At the tender age of six, Seraphina "Sera" Smith discovered that just by touch she could see a person's life from the time they were in the womb through to their future children. The traumatic discovery at such a young age and recurring headaches ever since set her life on a course of careful avoidance of others. A gifted weaver of intricate designs by trade, the occupation felt more like destiny than a mere job. After an odd string of bad luck she finds herself in the presence of a man she fears and wants at the same time. A dangerous and mysterious man-who's more than human...
Deimos was just following orders when he began to shadow Sera. He'd met her before, in another form and another time, a time he can never forget but should. He was to snatch her and deliver her to someone who would take the power she unwittingly held. The plan was simple until the seemingly fragile woman managed to get under his skin and into his heart.
Sera quickly learns there's more to her life than she'd ever imagined and that Deimos may be more than just her captor, he may be her destiny...
There are only a few authors that can write a series where each book gets better rather than stay the same or get worse. I was very pleased to realize that Kimberlie is one of those talented authors that have the ability to make each book better than the first. From the begining I was captivated and couldn't find a way to put this book down until I was finished. I'm loving Seraphina and Deimos (my goodness)! If you've read The Allotted (book 1) then you'll love The Spinner (book 2). I highly recommend this book.
The Spinner is book 2 in the Threads of Destiny Series. This book is about Seraphina who found out when she was 6 that she is able to see a persons life from conception to their future children just by touching them. Because of this she learned to avoid people. She works as a weaver until she meets a man who scares her and intrigues her at the same time. Deimos was there to kidnap her and take her to someone who wanted her power but instead he falls for her. Sera needs to know if Deimos is really evil like his sister or if he is able to be redeemed.
This book is better than the first one and I found myself yet again falling in love with the characters and plot. I can't wait for book 3 about the 3rd daughter. Deimos will make even Kratos from the first book look like a boy scout.
I have read both one and two of this series and the only thing that really by me is that it's too short. I feel the chapters are small and the story doesn't seem to end when it ends if that makes sense? I love the authors description of every and do relate to the. Characters and then there isn't any resolution at the end it feels like. Or, maybe the story will continue in another book but should have something major conclude and I wished I had read more about Evie and what happened from the end of book one and more than one interaction with the sisters. I want to read more but hope the author has more of a longer chunk in the next book. 4 stars for the great quality of writing and the talent to connect to the characters.
I really enjoyed this story! The author has created an interesting story and characters that will leave you wanting more. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.
I thought Kratos in the first book was great but Deimos was so Hot! I guess I do have a thing for the bad boy that will make the right choices for the right woman.I am know really ready for the third part of this story.I like the idea of the Gods not always knowing how mortals will react. It is really interesting concept the gods living in a mortal. I really want the next book because it is really good.
Wow the second book in this series is amazing. I love Seraphina. She is an awesome character that has been plagued with seeing what has happened in a person's life just by touching them. Deimos once again is set out on a mission by his sister to abduct another in this instance it is Sera. This story is another great addition to this series.
I enjoyed this one more then the first one but like the first this one was too short. I was left wanting more. I'm curious to see if the third book closes all the loose ends from this and the first book. I did love the storyline in this one and of course enjoy the mythology.
Sexy Gods and 3 sisters (goddesses) sharing women's bodies. Whats not to love. Deimos is sent after Sera by his sister but he ends up falling for her instead. Loved it! Cant wait to read the next one!
Here we have Clotho's story, or Serafina which is her human name. Once again she doesn't know who she really is and when she meets a handsome stranger, her life changes forever. Can't wait to read book #3!!!!
Can a God be all bad? Can a timid little mouse of a girl tame tame Deimos? You will have to read to find out. You won't be sorry that you did. Thanks Kimberlie Faye.
