A couple of things that absolutely stood out to me about this book was how Lewis emphasizes that leadership is not necessarily born from titles, degrees or formal credentials.. this is something I have personally experienced I have known "leaders" with ivy league educations that didn't stack up to the girl with the genius girl with that came from a poor back ground that. So I 100% agree that grit, discipline and willingness to learn can be fierce factors. I also liked that Fortified has a practical emphasis on relationships, systems and accountability. It would be a wonderful guide if you are looking for help with starting or a struggling business, or even organization and team strategies.

Extremely Helpful and Fun to Read

I loved the clear examples and obvious experiences detailing the need for a long- range view of business & leadership success. Not only the theory, but more importantly a practical plan and steps. I recommend this book to anyone who longs to see their organization endure & outlast short term success mentality. Five stars because Andew does an expert job bringing lots of leadership principles together into an easy to understand and implement playback! I'm looking forward to implementing these into my org.

This is a niche leadership book for those who are the decision makers in an organization, owners and senior leadership. The audience that reads this is very important, as many of the lessons middle managers cannot control. The case studies were relatable and interesting to read as well. There are snippets of great leadership lessons for all leaders. However, I am not sure it would be worth the read for those leaders.
