I really liked this story, however, it ended in a cliffhanger. I’m glad Nick found Khloe ❤️ but I really would have liked to know how the board meeting ended and how the wedding happened. I’d also liked to have known how those two scheming fools faired. Gosh and not to mention dum dum’s reaction to knowing Khloe knew that they weren’t really married. And did he give her the 50% shares? So much left unknown. So disappointed ☹️
This book was given a 3 because it ended with so many unanswered questions, therefore a second book is needed. Had I known a second book was needed, I would not have purchased it. The plot is good but there's too much drama around the fake marriage certificate, the fake wife moving out and going unnoticed by devoted fake husband and the legitimate wife accepting of the fake marriage. Part 2 should've been available and it's not. 6 years with your crush, who marries, have a son and you're not aware until you need a duplicate marriage certificate. He's been legally married to someone else For 5 years.
Storyline is intriguing but it is poorly written and does not appear to have been edited. Confusing phrasing. End of the book talks about 2nd book coming but wrong title/subject.
Just no. Once Khloe began beating little Pete with a switch that was it for me. There’s never any justification for an adult beating on a child like that.
While Khloe was for all intents and purposes, the innocent victim in this situation, having been deceived by Trey and Angela, hitting Pete with a switch was still so wrong.
It turns out that little Pete is actually Trey and Angela’s biological son. But Trey led Khloe to believe that he adopted Pete for her because she could not biologically have children (or so Trey told Khloe through a faked medical report he showed her). Then he pretended to bring Angela in as the nanny so that in a way, Angela could in fact raise her own biological child.
But while Khloe is the one being deceived here, I just cannot condone her hitting that child the way she did.
Great introduction captured my attention immediately. I found myself actually upset and wanting more of the characters’ lives continued. Hopefully Book 2 will have just that. Can not wait for it even though it’s suppose to be out by March 31st 2026. Throughly enjoyed the story yet trying to patiently wait. If that was the ending then I would really be disappointed. The lives and outcomes of these characters need to be written about too many cliffhangers there. However if their lives are continued in Book 2 it’s going to be worth the wait even though patience for an avid reader can be intolerable at times especially when the story was just that good. Definitely would have given 5 stars yet these characters lives need to be continued. Thank you, CD
The book started out well, completely riveting. As you progressed, you begin to see gaps and incoherence in the time line. The story also become choppy as you go on; some part totally fail to pass the common sense test. The storyline is a bit extraordinary, but it still keep you if not interested at least yearning for some clarity or connectivity between sequences. Yet, the biggest flaw is the abrupt ending. Even if there is a book 2 ( and there absolutely should be to complete the story) the abruptness with which this book ends is truly disappointing, just too many strings left hanging, leaving a feeling of frustration and true disappointment. I do not recommend this book
The whole story was strange. The relationship between the husband and wife and his family made no sense. And after reading the whole thing I find no conclusion. You have to read the next book to find out what happened. I’m sorry I wasted my time.
Started reading this story on Facebook and was totally blown away when I found the book on Kindle Unlimited! It just seems like the right kind of messy for me. When you find out your world is built on lies and you rise above it all and shine brighter than the diamonds around you. Yes I’m looking forward to the next installment and I’m not looking forward to having to complete the series to find out the deets but here we go…again!
This is another example of lazy writing skills. This is not an original story. Overlooked wife who is a secret heiress. This first book is an exercise is running around in circles waiting for the next 7 book where all will be more running in circles until the reader gives up in frustration. Do yourself a favor, don’t bother with this series.
Book becomes predictable due to repetition of like events. Occasional sentences are incorrectly referencing a person & others change the sequence of events. Descriptions create vivid mental pictures. Character development is engaging. Mostly, it just needs a proper editor.
I started this journey from a blur on Pinterest. Then continued on Amazon. It is a two parter which I probably wouldn't have read if I've known but it is a great book and I look forward to part two.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I was very surprised even. Although I really didn’t understand all the business aspects, I enjoyed watching Khloe rise above all and embrace her power with grace. The bullies got theirs in the end.
Don’t waste your time. After reading for hours and getting interesting, It just stops in the middle of a scene. Then says thank you for reading another story.
The story is very good but ends abruptly. After looking at the other books in the series, they appear to be different people and by other people. This story is incomplete.
Story line interesting, needed better editing and spell check. Also authors note at end of book belonged to another book altogether! Had no correlation with the book just finished???? Disappointing no conclusion or follow up timeline for completion
I truly love this book and really hope there is a book 2. I wanted to read how she handled Trey. I was hoping she would not only sit down with him but bring the dad in and expose all his dirty secrets. Plus the wedding I'm dying to read about the wedding and.
Storyline is good but far from being finished. Also, the thank you is for the rise of the ugly Luna. I hope the writer reviews their published works more carefully.
This book was so F-ing Good. The twist and turns, betrayal, growth with slow and perfect revenge. I can't wait for book 2. Stacy writing is everything, AWESOME READ...
