Dystopia Manga about invasion of the aliens in the planet that was occupied by the human. It is OK for the 1st volume. The story can balanced between the drama, action, horror. Wait for the next volume (I read in Thai translate)

I mean, it's alright.
The rough artstyle and the more realistic faces invokes certain European comics, which I really like.
The worldbuilding, so far, is hamfisted. All the exposition this world needed is that first bit with the meteor. Why have a massive recorded message? It's so obviously trying to pull an emotion out of the audience rather than add to the world. Some dialogue feels so forced, and it has all the classic droning inner monologuing that's so common in manga, but that's a me problem since nobody else cares. Also, I knew right away what was going on with the sister. It was so obvious.
This might be a pet peeve, but it's too generically western. They all have generic western names (John, Ethan, Norman), the only landscape so far is a desert (I guess that's American? idk), and the only food mentioned as of yet is gratin. That might seem pretty mild, but gratin is considered Western-style food in Japan. The same way the West considers fried sushi Japanese. It just feels kind of like Phoenix Wright, where the setting is definitely a Western country but obviously written without any knowledge of Western society, so they jam in the only elements they think are western without checking. It's just very inconsistent.
All in all, I am still willing to read more. The story is pushing enough that it might develop into something much darker, which is really all I want from this.

Good first volume. The plot follows John, a one armed man who wanders the wasteland of Earth, which has been taken over by unknown numbers of aliens that kill people on sight.

John is a very interesting protagonist. He doesn’t talk much or think, and he has only his sister a reason to live. The other characters we meet also seem interesting and are up to no good.

You are not coming to this series for the artwork, as it is pretty limited, but it makes up for it in a good story and great paneling. Paneling has become my make or break for manga series (it’s basically editing in a movie or show), and I am so glad that this series delivers. Will continue to read and you should check it out.

Up to ch. 5:
Ever since the invasion of the totally-not-xenomorphs, John is having an extremely bad time, and it's only getting worse.
Love the art style and the page layouts, and especially the shorthand faces which are like 😐 I also love Leon - no idea if he's trustworthy, but my god, he's a riot. I hope this'll have an English or German print release one day.

Great start to a series. Bits of Tatsuki Fujimoto (with art & style, evokes fire punch a bit for me), of course Alien/s (especially the alien design), some the walking dead & shingeki no kyojjn too (bleak post apocalyptic stuff). Looking forward to seeing where this one goes.
