As an ARC reader, I’ve read many fake-fiancé romances… but Pretend To Be Mine felt different.
This is the first book in the Blackwell Billionaire Brothers series, and it delivers glamour, emotion, and vulnerability in a way that truly pulls you in. Adrian Blackwell isn’t just another billionaire CEO — he’s a man carrying grief, responsibility, and the pressure of protecting his father’s legacy. Watching him step into leadership while still mourning made his character feel layered and real.
Elizabeth was such a refreshing heroine. Talented, creative, but deeply shaped by years of criticism that left her doubting her own worth. Her journey hit me the most. Seeing her slowly grow into her confidence — not just professionally in the fashion world, but emotionally — was incredibly satisfying. The fashion backdrop added sparkle and sophistication, but it never overshadowed the heart of the story.
The fake engagement trope was executed beautifully. What begins as a calculated PR strategy slowly shifts into something tender and undeniable. The chemistry? Intense. The tension? Perfectly paced. And when emotions finally collide, it feels earned — not rushed.
I also appreciated the family dynamic among the Blackwell brothers. There’s strength, loyalty, and unspoken love there, and it definitely makes me excited for the next books in the series.

I love a good fake fiancé romance. I've read many of them and always enjoy as the pretend becomes real. Blurry lines turning steamy romance makes for a great read. This story delivered all of that, and so much more, as we were introduced to the Blackwell brothers.
Determined to deliver on their father's vision for their fashion house before his death, they planned to breathe life into the Fashion of Love Week. One week: 5 fashion shows across 4 cities. Each one a tribute to love, Blackwell's history and their vision for the future. But negative press attempts to doom their venture before it starts, painting the brothers as selfish playboys instead of the brilliant designers they grew into. To quell the rumblings, Adrian planned to introduce a fake fiancée - and on paper it was perfect. Elizabeth was an aspiring designer who needed an intro into the industry. He needed a fake bride-to-be, someone to show the media that the love he was selling had transformed him.
For the first couple shows, the plan worked perfectly. Her stepping into the New York show as a last minute model. Him helping her to find her voice as a designer and giving her a shot to show her pieces. But right when things seemed to be coming together perfectly for the couple, a jealous ex and a technological glitch blew things up in spectacular style. Adrian's grand gesture was perfect to show her things were as real for him as they were to Elizabeth.
I really enjoyed this story and can't wait until the next brother gets his happy ending.

Oh my! I did NOT want this book to end. When you actually feel like you are living through the story you know the author has knocked it out of the park. What a great start to a new series. Adrian Blackwell was put in the CEO position when his father unexpectedly died last year. He and his 3 brothers run Blackwell Couture, one of the biggest fashion houses in the world. Adrian has decided to honor his father and his designs by holding fashion shows in some of the biggest cities in the world but he needed to clean up his reputation as a playboy to let the industry know he is a serious contention in the fashion world. His friend Chris, suggests his sister Elizabeth to fill in as his fake fiance as she just graduation with a degree in fashion and desperately wanted to get her foot in the door and was crazy talented to boot.
Sparks flew on their first meeting but Elizabeth lacked the confidence needed to survive this industry and herself. With Adrian's help, she flourished and that spark continued to grow and believe me when I say, you want to be there when that flame erupts!!! HOT, HOT, HOT!!! The feelings between these two will have you rooting for them like nothing else. You will feel every emotion, the passion, the fear, the tears, the angst and the love because that's what Weston does. He draws you in and you become one with the main characters. What a great read. You will NOT be disappointed!!

This is the first book in the new Blackwell Billionaire Brothers Series by Weston Parker. Wow, what a great start to the series and a beautiful love story for Adrian and Elizabeth. He was the eldest heir to the Blackwell Fashion Dynasty. He and his three brothers were still grieving their father's death. They were determined to honor his legacy with a quad of fashion shows, in London, Paris, Madrid and their home base of New York City. He was adverse to relationships but hired Elizabeth, his friend's sister as his fake fiance to clean up his playboy image. Fake began to feel real but a PR nightmare erupted when his ex-girlfriend leaked the deal and slandered Elizabeth. Plenty of drama and angst as Elizabeth deals with her insecurities caused by their mother's constant criticism. It was emotional to watch Adrian deal with his feelings and Elizabeth as she gained a supportive family and saw her designer dreams flourish. A great book that I read in one sitting. I love Weston Parker's books but this one was special. I loved how caring they each were to each other and others. Great characters and a page turning story line. Another fantastic story by Weston
This story had me hooked from the very start and only got better the further it went along.
I loved the glitz of the fashion world, the designs and the runways in New York, London, Paris and Milan, being so beautifully described.
The storyline was perfect with the added passion and drama befitting a fashion house.
I loved it all.
What a glamorous world Elizabeth had found herself being part of as she played the part of fake fiancé to Adrian, the CEO of Blackwell Couture.
The more time the two spent together their relationship started to feel more real but, they had an expiration date and had to stick to the plan.
Would there ever be a future for the couple or will a scandal rock their world?
I found myself adoring all the Blackwell men plus Elizabeth and her brother Chris and would love to read stories about the other men.
A novel I would thoroughly recommend reading, you won’t be disappointed.

Adrian and Elizabeth's story is a great start to this new series. Elizabeth has been waitressing to make ends meet while she applies for jobs to use her fashion design degree. Adrian Blackwell became the CEO of Blackwell Couture when his father passed away. He and his brothers are equal partners in the company though because he is the eldest he is the CEO. They are about to start a big fashion week as a tribute to their dad who died last year. The issue is the playboy Blackwells have a PR issue. They need to show stability. Chris, Elizabeth's brother has been friends with Adrian for years. When he learns that Adrian is looking for a fake fiancé to improve his image, he offers up his sister. She can get a job out of it and Adrian will get someone who can keep her mouth shut. How do you think it will work out. There are some good twists and turns in this one and it gets rather emotional. Good read.

I voluntarily reviewed "PRETEND TO BE MINE" by the author who did a fantastic job making you not want to stop reading this interesting, intriguing, emotional journey dealing with glamour, grief, vulnerability, scandal, passion, secrets, having you turning those pages.
Adrien Blackwell a playboy with a reputation needing a clean up after his father died he became CEO of Blackwell Coutour Fashion House with his three brothers.
Adrien does lots of fashion shows in big cuties his friend Chris suggests using his sister Elizabeth as a fake fiance to help with scandoulous reputation.
Elizabeth just finished graduation with a degree in fashion wanting to get her foot in the door of the fashion industry, she's quite smart & talented.
Will Adrian & Elizabeth become more than fake engaged upon meeting their chemistry was sizzling hot you don't want to miss amazing well written story to see how it all turns out. I so look forward to the next with brother's stories.

A pretend relationship with Adrian will allow them both to get what they want however it isn’t long before their arrangement starts to feel very real however secrets have a way of being exposed when you least expect it.
Elizabeth and Adrian take us on a journey that includes romance, turmoil and a few surprises as not only do they find a love that neither saw coming but it was great to see Elizabeth become the woman she was always meant to be.

Weston does it again!! I fell in love with Adrian and Elizabeth immediately. Adrian is the oldest of 4 brothers who have taken over the family business after their father passed. As CEO he feels the most pressure and with the biggest event of their tenure coming up the heat is on. Their reputation is not great and come up with an idea of a fake engagement to help bolster his PR image.
Enter his friend Chris. Chris recommends his sister, who has just graduated from FIT and has not been able to break into the industry. Reluctantly Elizabeth agrees. She isn't sure she is up to the task, but the reward is worth it. A position at Blackwell Couture at the end of the assignment.
From the start they have amazing chemistry. As they get to know each other their feeling become real. A must read to see how they navigate the ups and downs to get to their happy ever after.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the story of Adrian and Elizabeth. Adrian and his brothers run their late father's fashion house and are preparing for the Fashion of Love week, an event that has five shows around the world. The press are not kind to the brothers so they have the idea of a fake fiance for Adrian. Adrian's friend Chris suggests his sister Elizabeth, a fashion designer. Adrian agrees, but Elizabeth is so intimidated by Adrian that she ca barely look at him, let alone be comfortable enough to convince people they are engaged. Adrian is very intrigued by Elizabeth and he wants to help with her career too. I liked this story, it was different to read about Elizabeth being intimidated by Adrian. Adria knew he had to find a way for Elizabeth to relax around him. This was a good story about an almost instant love and how they had to develop a friendship too. Another good one from Weston.

This book is a great beginning to a new series by Weston Parker. The four billionaire Blackwell brothers are at the top of the women's fashion industry and are determined to remain there - even though their father, who started the business from nothing, died a year ago and left his legacy to them. Adrian, the oldest son, has carried the brunt of the workload himself for the past year. He hasn't had time for a life outside of work, but a fake fiancee will help the business so he reluctantly agrees to it. Feelings get involved when his best friend, Chris, suggests using his sister, Elizabeth, as the fake fiancee in order to get her foot in the door of the design world. It is a wonderful book with great chemistry between the main characters. I'm excited to see which brother gets featured in the next book, since they are such an interesting lot.

I wasn't sure what to expect but I enjoyed the book. It reminded me of J. Saman's book Irresistibly Broken with the background of the fashion world. The chemistry between Adrian and Elizabeth was amazing. There was some angst, some slow burn, before they finally have the eff it moment. There is a bit of repeated back and forth about their feelings and the length of their contract, but it worked in this story and it didn't annoy me (much). Elizabeth was a like a breath of fresh air with every person she interacted with. My heart broke for her when Adrian was credited for her designs. The third act break up was so good and that is not something I every find myself saying. It worked in this book. The spice was good and I really enjoyed the story. I can't wait to see the other Blackwell brothers find their matches.

Adrian and Elizabeth are a great start to this new series. You knew they were destined for HEA after their first meeting when sparks were igniting in both of their minds. Elizabeth started by being intimidated by the whole “Adrian Blackwell” name and reputation. Adrian was hooked on her beauty and brains. This HEA had me in my “feels” as I became emotionally invested in their love story.
It’s amazing to see her confidence grow and his work driven personality switch once he realizes there is more to life than just work.
Meeting his brothers and how they fell in love with her also, has me hoping the next book will be released quickly. This first book has me needing to see who’s next.

This book catches you and draws you in. It's all about the Blackwell brothers. Adrian, Sebastian, Dash and Briggs. This book centres Adrian and Elizabeth. Elizabeth is sister of Adrian's best friend Chris. Adrian's dad founded Blackwell Couture. They were a well known fashion house. The PR for the company was really bad and they needed no more scandals about the brothers during Fashion of love week which was 4 different countries in a week all hosted by each of the brothers. They needed a new idea to make their company look great with the public again. One idea was for one of the brothers to show stability in a relationship and get married. I won't give too much away but its a really good book and I couldn't put it down.

This is the first book in what promises to be another great series and features the Blackwall brothers, and their legacy a year after their fathers death. Eldest son Adrian needs to improve the public opinion of himself as a CEO, despite spending the last year working to continue what their father started, apparently the press, and public, see him as a rich and wealthy playboy. To counteract this it is suggested her gets a finance, and quickly before their fashion house his rd a week of love with fashion shows all over the world.j

A new series and this one contains the Blackwell Brothers. Adrian is the oldest and feels responsible for all that goes on within the family including their fashion company. Now that their dad has passed away, they need to prove to everyone that the brothers can make this company even better than when dad was alive. Each brother has a reputation that can tank the company but are determined to change peoples minds starting with a fake engagement. Thankfully for us, the engagement trope was a good part of the story and when it became real, the story became even better. Showing your vulnerable side isn’t something that everyone does but when Adrian shows this side for Elizabeth, it will make your heart melt. Enjoy.

Adrian and Elizabeth Wow just WOW! I'm struggling for the best words to do it justice, these two are magical together! Elizabeth takes Adrian from sorrow to living! They complement each other's talent; he gives Elizabeth a chance like no one else can! The perfect mix of support, sweetness, steam, hope and so much love! Weston is the best at these fake romances that surprise the characters, bring them something they never thought would happen and make me believe in fate! The supporting characters are remarkable! I can't wait for the next book!

Pretend to Be Mine by Weston Parker is everything I love . What starts as a carefully controlled arrangement quickly turns into something layered, emotional, and completely addictive. The chemistry felt natural, the tension kept building in all the right ways.
I loved the high-pressure glamour, the legacy, the spotlight, and the expectations added such great stakes to their relationship. Watching Elizabeth grow in confidence while Adrian learns there’s more to life than reputation made their story even more satisfying.

This was a great Cinderella style story about Adrian and Elizabeth. Adrian needs a fiance to make him more reputable for his fashion company. Elizabeth just needs a chance to prove what she can do with design. What ensues is a typical happily ever after recipe set in several fabulous and fun locations. Through out all, these two struggle with the fact that they barely know each other, but need each other more than they know. There were great conflicts built into this story, all relatable and expected for such a strange relationship. I really loved this story, and hope we get to know each of Adrian's brothers a little more!

This is the best start to a new series. Elizabeth has graduated from FIT and is waitressing to make ends meet since she can't find a job in the fashion industry. Adrian Blackwell becomes CEO of the family fashion house and he is a PR nightmare for the company. Elizabeth's brother has been friends with Adrian for a long time and when Adrian explains his problem he suggests he might take his sister as his fake fiance and that might help him, and in return he gives her a job in fashion. Their chemistry is off the charts and their HEA doesn't come easy. I was hooked into this new series from the start and I can't wait to see what's in store for the other Blackwells.....

This is the first book in the series, and it does not disappoint. Packed with emotional drama and the evolution and transformation of a playboy into a man with redeeming qualities. He propositions his friend's sister into a fake marriage with benefits to jumpstart her career. What starts as a relationship to rebuild an image turns into so much more between them and through it all the deceitful plot is leaked to the publications by his ex-creating a PR nightmare. Will Adrian and Elizabeth weather the storm of disaster and get their chance for happiness.

There are a lot of fake relationship stories you can read, but, I always know, when I pick up a Weston Parker story, it'll come with emotions, wonderful characters, spice, and awesome storytelling.
I enjoyed "Pretend to be Mine!"
And honestly, every other story I've read by Mr. Parker!

Adrian and Elizabeth are an unlikely pair who end up providing a service for each other. Adrian desperately wants/needs to improve his image. Elizabeth is a struggling fashion designer currently working as a waitress. Elizabeth’s brother suggested to his best friend, Adrian, that his sister is an honorable person who could help him if he at least reviewed her portfolio. Their story is interesting and driven by trying to understand how to successfully move each forward. I am looking forward to the brothers books.

This is a very great start to the new series of the billionaire Blackwell brothers. Adrian is the oldest son. His best friend Chris suggests that he make Elizabeth his sister his fake fiancee. The more time they spent together it start to feel real. What will happen when a ex reveal what is really going on? Will they get a happy ending? This story will get you hooked into the fashion world. It is a great must read story.

WOW, what a deep heartfelt start to the beginning if a new series!! The family dinamic from the Blackwell brothers. Adrian is the eldest, with a lot of new responsibilities but heartache as well. And the hurdles Elizabeth has to go through....
I have read a lot of Weston Parkers books and this one is one of my favorites..fake fiance, heartache and resilience and of course the falling in love. Enjoy!!!

A beautiful read set in the fashion world of the Blackwell brothers. Adrian asks Elizabeth to be his fake fiancée in return for a position on their company. She is desperate to make her mark as a designer. The story was full of drama and emotion as their arrangement becomes public. Elizabeth was so sweet and I really loved her relationship with Adrian that blossomed. His brothers were so engaging. I loved this so much. Can't wait to read more books in the series.

Now this is a 5 star read. This story grabs you and keeps you reading. This story stars Elizabeth and Adrien. He’s the CEO of Blackwell Coutou and works with his 3 brothers. Now as. EO after his father’s death he needs to smarten up and stop acting like a playboy. His friend Chris suggests he asks his sister to be his fake fiancé. She actually has a degree in fashion. This is how they meet, the story twists and turns from there but you can’t stop reading.

Weston Parker you have outdid yourself. This story comes to life immediately and takes the reader on an adventure of scheming, love, romance, devastation, and yet a happily ever after in the end. Each character came into their own early on making it fun to follow them through the ups and downs of this tale about dreams, family, and romance. Cannot wait for the next book. It was certainly better than advertised.
