No wonder the kitchen is usually the most-remodeled room in the house--it's the home's "nerve center," a warm and cozy place for family to gather, for hosting small, informal parties, and for cooking up a storm. How will you make it work for you? Hundreds of solutions to your most common kitchen problems appear here with imaginative, inspiring ideas ranging from total makeovers to simple touches that turn it into the highlight of your home. Pick and choose from design schemes for new cabinets, appliances, counters and other preparation surfaces, clean-up accessories, direct and indirect lighting, seating, and so much more. Both showcase and workplace, at last your kitchen can express your lifestyle and taste.
This slim book presents primarily photographs grouped by area of the kitchen like "Eating In", "Kitchen Storage" and the like. Short paragraphs describe the scene and interesting features are highlighted with arrows. Most of the kitchens might be called traditional in nature although a few modern and artsy ones are featured. All the dimensions of the kitchens are generous providing room for islands, eating areas with hutches and the like. While I did not find any designs that spoke to me nor any interesting ideas, others may have better luck.
