“That wasn’t the gods above, Angel… That was the power of the Blood Order.”

Evangeline longs for a life outside of the cage she’s been raised in. But born the daughter of the High Quarter Alpha—Raziel, leader of the Watchers—she’s forced to personify a watered down, carefully curated facade. The life she wants will never be obtainable under her father’s diligent eye. Cursed with a condition she hasn’t even begun to understand and locked away to be used as her father’s test subject, Evangeline has only ever known one thing. Loneliness.

But when a rare night of rebellion quickly turns dark, her powers emerge stronger than ever before. Exposed to her father’s people, she’s forced from the city center and left to fend for herself in the ungoverned district. Broken, hurting, and left with nothing.

That is, until Aamon and his crew find her. Trained to kill first and ask questions never, Aamon doesn’t think twice about the pale haired lost soul, with big, honeyed eyes and her heart on her sleeve. Or at least, he tries not to. But Sterling has always had a soft spot for broken things. Convincing the Blood Order to take her in and offer their protection, the boys are now responsible for this mysterious creature they can’t seem to resist.

Now, Evangeline must survive the dark underbelly of their city, Requiesse, along with the number one enemy of her father’s rule. The Blood Order. Will she be able to accept the vampires she’s only ever been told to fear, even if it means turning away from everything she’s ever known to do so? Or will these four males eat her alive before she’s even discovered the truth lurking just below the surface?

Touched By The Arcane is a dark urban fantasy reverse harem full of angst, rebellion, and deliciously kinky moments. Be sure to check the full list of content warnings before diving in, as some topics may be sensitive for certain readers.

Hi there! I'm Lindsey N. Rhoden. I’m a mama to four crazy kiddos, a full time homeschooler, and a part time writer with an affinity for all things herbal. I’ve spent the last several years as a birth/postpartum photographer and doula, specializing in herbal and Ayurvedic care. In the past year, I decided to take a step back from that line of work to focus on my family and make room for other passions.
I love exploring darker elements through my writing and focusing on the more taboo topics of mental health and what that kind of pure, raw emotion can look like. I try to bring my writing to life through elements of nature and descriptive language. My main goal in my work is to write real, raw emotion that the reader can relate to and can feel through the pages, whether that be love, excitement, panic, or pain.
I’ve been a writer for as long as I could hold a pen, but I’ve always struggled to give my writing the time it deserved to truly develop. I dove into the world of literature during college and earned my degree in English literature with a concentration in creative writing from the University of Central Florida. Authors such as Ernest Hemingway, F. Scott Fitzgerald, and Edgar Allen Poe inspired me to continue pursing my own writing. Motherhood had other plans, though, and I took a long reprieve after I graduated in 2018. In 2023, I decided to dive back into the world of writing and found out that apparently I had a lot to say.

Dedication: “For all the girls who grew up through the trauma of purity culture and have come out the other side. I hope you enjoy all the fucking.” Lindsey Rhoden thanks for literally writing this book for me. 🫶

Touched By The Arcane takes place in a world where there’s religious fanaticism, magic, paranormals, a strong us/them divide, and oppressive people in power seeking to control all of the above. If you’re “touched by the arcane” you’re essentially a paranormal being of some kind and you’re shunned from the (horrible) society that is the High Quarter. Enter Evangeline or “Angel” whose father is the leader of the religious zealots in the High Quarter. Evangeline is different, and tortured by her father for it. She finds herself in a life or death situation in the wildlands outside the city, and there encounters four enforcers for the Blood Order, the group directly in opposition to her father and who run the Ungoverned District. These four men run the gamut from imprinting on her immediately to loathing her. The story follows Evangeline’s awakening to the realities of her society while healing and building complicated relationships with her supposed enemies.

“I’m not interested in you, Evangeline. I’m fucking obsessed with you.”

“What in the seven hells is this?” he asks, staring down at us.
“It was about to be round two, before you rudely interrupted.” There’s a challenge in —‘s reply, and the boys exchange a look.
“No, fuck that,” — growls. And I’m about to respond—to say I’m okay and he doesn’t need to worry about me. That I want this. But then he’s stepping into the room and kicking the door closed behind him. “Not without me.”

“You’re not tainted, Evangeline. You are exactly who you are supposed to be. And it happens to be someone we desire. Deeply.”

“Our girl.”

The chemistry was incendiary. The world was fucked up and brutal. And we’re left on a cliffy that has me eagerly awaiting book 2. I loved every second. Thank you to Lindsey Rhoden for the opportunity to read this as an ARC!!

I picked this up expecting a good fantasy romance and ended up completely hooked.

The magic, the tension, and the world-building pulled me in immediately, but it was the characters that kept me turning pages. The chemistry was chef’s kiss, the stakes felt real, and there was just enough mystery to keep me guessing.

A perfect blend of magic, danger, and romance that left me desperate for more. If you’re a fantasy romance fan, this one deserves a spot on your TBR.

This was a new genre for Lindsay- I enjoyed reading this and got through it pretty quickly as is a very easy read despite the heavy topics. That being said it probably wasn’t my favourite read of her books.

The characters are great, and the plot is brilliant. I loved that there’s some themes that I wouldn’t have traditionally read which I enjoyed, however with it being a reverse harem, some of the relationships felt like they were jumped into quickly and for me personally there wasn’t as much build up as I’d like. That being said the book itself is fast paced so I do appreciate that the relationships have to follow suit and some people may prefer it that way!

I would absolutely read the next one and I’m looking forward to seeing where the series goes as it’s currently very open.

My spine straightens as I smell the uncertain fear coming from across the room. It's unlike anything I've ever experienced and something so "holy", yet divine, that I'm almost scared to look up. The keyword being "almost", as I'm finding myself slowly lifting my eyes to the 6ft brooding bad boy who just walked into the bar and is standing only a few feet across the booth I'm sitting in. He's muscular yet lean, tattoos lining up his neck and chest, and has dark black hair which looks ruffled as if he's been running his fingers through more often than he's used to. His front teeth nibble on the lip ring pierced to his right as he scans the room until those molten chocolate eyes lay on me.

Shock spreads across his face as he notices someone paying attention to his presence in the crowded space but then shifts to intrigue as he starts making his way towards me. I take note of the instant mood shift as he's clearly here for a reason and seems to have marked his target. He continues crossing the floor with the most delicious aura mimicking "Alpha Male" that I find myself adjusting at the unease developing in my stomach. I'm not one to shy away from the male gaze but the eyes on this one are so intense that it demands attention and I wouldn't be lying if I said this wasn't one of the hottest reactions I've encountered in a while….even if the interaction is only a minor stare down.

As he approaches my booth and sits down the motorcycle helmet he was carrying along with him, he leans slightly on the table, hands resting on both sides and asks, "Do you know someone named Sasha?"

Refusing to give any reaction, I shift slightly to sink myself further into the comfortable plush and worn booth while crossing my arms in front my chest and lifting an eyebrow stating, "Who's asking?"

"Me."

He doesn't give any further details or explanation - just one word as if this would satisfy curiosity and have me spilling everything he needs to know. I let out a sarcastic laugh and shift back up to where my elbows rest on the top of the table in front of me while leaning forward minimizing the gap between us.

"I'm not sure if I should be offended or impressed at the fact you think that answer is going to get any information from me."

He narrows his eyes, pondering at my statement, and sighs.

"Look…I don't have a lot of time. I'm on a deadline and the only person that can help me right now is someone named Sasha. So if you don't know who they are or any clue who I'm talking about, can you point me in the right direction of who can?"

I give him a smirk watching his desperation roll off him. He's definitely in some sort of situation right now and have made it my new mission tonight to figure out what that situation is. I lean just millimeters from his lips and stare further into his stern, yet pleading eyes. If there is one thing I know, is that this one is touched by the Arcane but is trying his hardest to suppress that carnal need simmering within him. He's definitely in some sort of situation right now and have made it my new mission for tonight to figure out what that situation is.

"Well you found her - so tell me, what is it that you so desperately need from me?"

After finishing Touched By The Arcane, so graciously given to me by the author as an ARC, I couldn't help but imagine myself in the fantastic world she has built and what it would be like to hold that power that the MCs have and what situations I would find myself within. In fact, I'm giggling and kicking my feet right now thinking about what myself and that brooding bad boy would encounter as our journey unfolds through the mystery of why he needs me as if his life depends on it. But, that is for a different day as this time is to focus on how AMAZING Lindsey's book, Touched By The Arcane, was which comes out this month on JUNE 29, 2026!

As with all of my reviews, let me give a backstory on what this book entails….

We have our main FMC Evangeline, who is currently being held captive by her father, the High Quarter Alpha and leader of the Watchers, where her life is consistent of being caged and tested on like a lab rat to help contain a condition in which both herself and her father do not fully understand. This condition seems to create episodes which she finds herself experiencing that have her back in the lab to help contain and treat the condition which is close to taking over. Evangeline, however, longs for a life outside of the cage she remains in and finds herself rebelling often to the outside world that her father keeps her from. However, during one of her recent rebellion acts, she comes across a situation which triggers something within her to unleash that condition which has been festering within her and leaves her stumbling back to her home scared, confused, and bloody. After coming home, her father is forced to leave her to fend for herself or die within the ungoverned district and our FMC finds herself alone and uncertain of her future outcome. Lucky (or unlucky as some might say), Evangeline is found by Aamon and his crew Ezekiel, Sterling, and Quinn, who have been sent there by the leader of Blood Order on a particular mission. While some of the crew wanted to leave her to the haunts that await her in the ungoverned district, Sterling did not and had a soft spot for our FMC, convincing his team to take her in and offer their protection. But when our MMCs bring her back, they are confused to find not just Sterling, but all of them have a connection to her that they just can't seem to resist. And while this fascination begins to take over, both Evangeline, Aamon, Ezekiel, Sterling, and Quinn begin to find themselves not just unfolding the secrets from the FMC and her kind - but find there are secrets even within the Blood Order that they weren't prepared to uncover.

As we go through this journey along with Evangeline, Aamon, Ezekiel, Sterling, and Quinn, you will come across many tropes including (but not limited to)…

🩸 Reverse Harem
🩸 Emotional Damaged MCs
🩸 Found Family
🩸 Paranormal Romance (Vampires)
🩸 SPICY SPICY SPICY Scenes
🩸 Religious Trauma

While I greatly enjoyed this book and am VERY intrigued to continue through to the next book when it comes out, I did encounter a few items which caused me to rate this a little lower than expected during my read. As with all of my reviews, these are my own opinions and many of them are usually just from a preference standpoint. So please take what I say with a grain of salt as what I feel might be completely different than what you or another may feel in these cases.

To start off with, I felt as though the FMC was a little too naive and compliant with the situation she was in. I normally tend to praise FMCs who are strong willed, have a "backbone" if you will, and put up a fight in many situations. In this case, I felt as though Evangeline didn't show any concern about the situation she was in and sort of just accepted what was happening to her and what was asked of her. I really wanted to see her not give in to the main MCs, question why she was there more, and be more defiant & strong willed than what she was showing. Having the FMC taken from one environment to a completely new environment, with different people she has never met before, and then being okay with what they say or tell her to do just didn't sit right with me and had me yelling at her throughout the story to say "NO" or say "ARCANE" to the MCs at times. I wanted to her to think and question why she was there and what was going on rather than just accepting.

Speaking of questioning, this was a main theme which caused concern on my side throughout the storyline not just for Evangeline but for the MMCs as well. Without giving too much away, the character development just felt really flat when it came to the MCs and wanted to see more of a connection between each of them. I understand that they have a connection with each other and that they "felt something" whenever they first saw Evangeline and/or whenever they are with her. But it was never really revealed "WHY" they are attracted and connected with her. You do get an answer as to why but the answer was something that didn't sit right with me either. I wanted them to question more about why rather than accept that it's because of her condition. I wanted to see them go down the path of understanding further what was causing this attraction and prove to me that this wasn't just lust on both ends. I felt as though anyone could have been put in Evangeline's position that had the same condition and be the reason why they felt a connection. Saying there was "something special about her" just wasn't enough and the reveal was really lackluster when it was provided. So I wanted that proof to show me why Evangeline was special and would be the ONLY ONE who could be that person for them rather than anyone who just had the condition that she has. We could find out more about this in the next book, so I did consider that when rating this on my side and hope to see more development from this than what was given. But overall, I just felt this was a crucial piece that was missing which I would have liked to understood and make me feel as though I wasn't just reading "SMUT" for the sake of it - I wanted there to be a reason. Don't get me wrong, I like SMUT just as much as the next girl and this was definitely a fun ride - so if you are looking for vibes, this definitely provides it. But when realistically thinking about this as a whole, this was something that I felt was missing and needed within the storyline.

Having put that out there, I also want to note that the story does end on the ULTIMATE cliffhanger - in fact, I'm in my own "carnal need" right now of knowing what that hell just happened and cannot wait to see where this takes us in book 2 of this series. So many theories are running through my head right now but wanted to make sure this was mentioned so that you are aware it's something that will leave you DESPARATE for more!

Overall, I did love many things about this book as well. As mentioned previously, the world building is phenomenal. The way that the author was able to provide both a unique and attention grabbing storyline which offers the audience passion, darkness, and mystery is amazing and applaud her for being able to bring this to life. Not only does this book bring emotional impact, it brings out an addiction you didn't know you had as you turn each page. I also loved how this book mixed many genres together to provide a unique take on familiar concepts but genre blending in such a way that just seems to fit perfectly and seamlessly. If you are looking for a new read and are yearning for that mix of vampires, motorcycles, mystery, and possessiveness, definitely be sure to add this on your TBR when it comes out JUNE 29th!

TW: violence, sexual content, trauma, blood, injury/ injury detail, abandonment, emotional abuse, chronic illness, rape (implied), sexual assault (implied), addiction, panic attacks/ disorders, mental illness, medical trauma, PTSD, BDSM multiple forms of kink
The weight on my soul feels exponentially large. The evidence of the hells I’ve endured and the hells I’ve damned myself to cut bone deep, burrowing inside me to a place that I will never be able to dig it out from.

This was a good start to a series or duology, not sure what author has planned but if the plot is going to pick up that way it looks like its headed then I would definitely be interested in reading more. I realized about halfway through this book that it was just the beginning of a much larger story. I think author has the opportunity to take these characters that they have built in this book and expand on the world — the warring factions and issues stemming from those in power as well as the depth of the characters — to make something very compelling. I liked the characters a lot, I thought their backstories and traumas were interesting and fairly well expressed and I think their growth was developed and intriguing.
The three of us have so much brokenness here. So much pain and judgement about our own flaws and shortcomings. And just like Sterling, I long to tend to Zeke’s wounds. But he’s too stubborn to let anyone else care for him. Too possessive of control to allow anyone to glimpse those more vulnerable parts of himself.

I did think that the information and growth we see from the characters felt pretty uneven, I think I still have a lot of questions about some of the main characters that I hope get answered in a sequel. Yes, this book was incredibly spicy and for those interested I think that the reverse harem trope and explorations of kink was well done, although a lot of it felt gratuitous to me I know a lot of people who will love it as is. That ending was diabolical, and I think this story has a lot of potential so I look forward to seeing what author has in store for these characters.

Thank you to the author for this ARC, all thoughts and opinions listed in the above review are all my own.

My husband found this arc opportunity for me. His pitch? Vampires, motorcycles, reverse harem, and m/m within the harem. It checked ALL. THE. BOXES.

I've actually been in a little bit of a reading slump, feeling overwhelmed and indecisive about what I wanted to read. Touched by the Arcane was the first book in a long time that I could feel myself get lost in, one that I was genuinely excited to return to each time I picked up my iPad to read.

Evangeline is the abused only daughter of her kingdom's alpha. She endures because she has a long-suffering desire to please her father, but she also has a rebellious streak. Unfortunately, that rebellion lands her banished and nearly killed by otherworldly entities. She's rescued by four vampires: Aamon, Sterling, Quinn, and Zeke. They take her back to their compound, where Aamon's "father" allows her to stay and recuperate.

As she navigates her life outside of her father's influence, she is confronted with her growing feelings of the vampires. Not all of them are on board with her presence, while others are enthusiastic to explore the relationships. But, in addition to navigating her emotions towards the guys, she learns the dark secrets behind her father's actions. And, in a fit of violence that leaves her dying, with no cure available to her despite the healer's best efforts, Aamon turns her.

Evangeline awakes and nearly healed. From there, she blood binds herself to Aamon, Quinn, and Sterling (Zeke is our hold out). She is falling in love with them, until Aamon cruelly forces her out of the compound and banishes her.

This book captivated me from page one, and I am impatiently waiting for book two. The book is well written, creative, and the world building is spectacular. If I had anything about the book I wasn't as jazzed with, it's very much me just wishing she'd made the guys grovel more. I'm a big fan of the male love interests owning their BS but the female main character making them work for her love. :)

A big thank you to Lindsey Rhoden for the opportunity to read this book. I loved it!

First off, I wanted to thank the author for allowing me to read the book in advance.

I was really intrigued by the plot of the book, I love anything vampire related. This was the first reverse harem I’ve read, so that was exciting to experience.

With that said, I loved the way the book begins. Meeting Evangeline and seeing she has some rebellious inclinations to get some freedom from an oppressive father. I thought the FMC was well written for the most part.
I really liked the differing personalities of all MMC’s as well and how they all fit well together, where each have a stronger connection with a specific individual, so it felt authentic.

The main reason for my rating is that it started to drag a bit in the middle. I felt like there was less plot and I was waiting for more advancement of the story rather than back to back intimate scenes for what felt like half the book. I love smut, but it started to get tedious and like it was in there just to have all the characters screwing just to have them do it as many ways as possible. I wanted to see a bit more connection that lead up to those scenes instead of just bloodlust/blood bonds being the reason.

I wish we had gotten to explore more into her darkness/powers, or really anything to show her strength or allure for the blood order. The middle of the book kinda lost me with the FMC kinda being dainty, even though she had more bite to her when she was under her father’s control.
I’m more than excited to continue the series. I really hope we get more answers about what was in those papers, what is the extent of Evangeline’s new self, and what’s going to happen from that cliff hanger!!

Overall, I will definitely recommend to others.

Huge thank you to the author for the advanced copy!

Where do I even start? I ate this up. I could t stop thinking about it. It’s honestly gotten me out of a slight reading slump and I’d kill to get my hands on book 2 RIGHT NOW!!!
The plot and storyline was so well written and easy to follow. I never felt confused by what was happening. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I’m a slut for dual POV.
I loved Sterling right off the bat. He’s such a lovable sweetheart. Quinn is the playful playboy who’d be a blast to go drinking with. Ezekiel is the mysterious one who you really have to put time in to break that shell. I loved his and Sterlings connection. And then there’s Aamon. He was such an enigma but in the best way possible. I loved Evangeline. Her character was fun and easy to ache for. The absolute heartbreaking story she has gutted me and left me in tears. Everyone’s dynamic was so different and unique that really made each pairing stand out. But when put together? 😮‍💨 Damn. The spicy scenes were great and I want more!! Especially after that ending 😭

Hands down a 5 star review with a 4 on the spice scale. As soon as I finished the book the first thing I did was scream and went searching for book 2. Knowing good and well I’m reading an ARC. So now I will be respectfully stocking their page for updates regarding book 2.
The story itself is amazing, I love the story line and the main characters. We have our 4 MMC’s vampires who are bikers (my 2 favorite tropes) who seem to be in a relationship not relationship with each other. They work for the ungoverned Alpha. Then we have our FMC who happens to be the Hugh Quarter city Alpha daughter with a secret. Now this is a WhyChoose so I will just let your imagination run wild with it. But we do have our FMC involved with not just one but all 4 MMC’s. I did get a little emotional during one portion of the book even though I knew it was going to happen. The characters works well together. Our 4 MMC each have a special bond with certain members of their groups, they all trust and support each other but further in the book you learn how they all came to know each other. We get to see what our FMC has gone thru and how she survives those trails and finds the love and support she needs.
If you love dark urban fantasy romance with vampires and bikers and not to mention the spice this is the book for you

I received an advanced copy of Touched by the Arcane and OMG…spicy!! This book is an adult dark urban fantasy romance with extra spice. I was hooked from the very beginning and struggled to put it down. There are the Watchers from the High Quarter, who are religious fanatics, and the Arcane, those who have dark power like vampires who represent the seven layers of hell (according to the Watchers).

**Make sure to check the trigger warnings before reading this book.**

“There’s no true way to avoid the Arcane. Not once it’s chosen you.” Those touched by the Arcane are viewed as cursed or infected. Some are born with the Arcane and some develop or are infected with it as they grow up.

Evangeline, the FMC, was born a Watcher, more specifically, the daughter of the Alpha. She lives a life hidden away in the High Quarter because she has a secret. She is lonely and doesn’t understand her abilities. Her father and the doctor work to find a serum or medication to rid Evangeline of her ‘condition’. Evangeline is used to being tortured daily and just wants to escape. When Evangeline is rejected by the only people she has ever known, she is found by the very people she fears and has always been told will kill her.

Aamon and his crew of vampire biker guys (The Blood Order), find Evangeline and take her in until the leader decides what to do with the daughter of the Alpha of the Watchers. Some are broody, some are kind, all are delicious. Will The Blood order protect her or give her back to her father for money? What will Evangeline need to do to survive? Who can she trust?

I really enjoyed this book! This reverse harem is sinfully delightful. It ended on a huge cliffhanger and I am waiting “not so patiently” for book 2!!

Thank you so much @lindseyn.rhodenbooks for letting me read Touched By The Arcane before its release date on June 29th!
This story is so unique. It is filled with passion, lust, darkness, secrets, and found family. Enter this world filled with Alphas, Vampires, Ghouls, Wraiths – a world that showed how some were more fortunate than others. How one side had everything, and the other fought for survival – but could at least be free.
Evangeline is a strait up warrior. What her father put her through would have brought anyone else down. The pure hatred he had for what she was – allowing the testing and torture to be done on her.
*She is strong.
*She survived.
*She was found.
*She was accepted.
Enter the gentleman to this story. Each of these vamps had their own unique personalities. Their own struggles. Each brought a feeling of safety to Evangeline. Even though a certain individual took a little bit to come around. But when he did.. he was in all the way.
The hidden secret that was unveiled threw me off. The betrayal behind it, giving this story even more of a punch. Then… this author being ever so cruel, hits us with a cliffhanger ending! Leaving this reader needing to know who survives, is everyone safe, and has the threat been eliminated?

✨ARC Review✨

🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

This book completely consumed me from start to finish.

Evangeline’s journey from isolation and pain to finding a place where she truly belongs made this story heartbreakingly beautiful. After a lifetime of loneliness and control, watching her slowly unravel the lies she’s been raised to believe while finding comfort in the very monsters she was taught to fear felt so raw and emotional.

But Sterling absolutely stole my heart. His softness toward Evangeline, his unwavering protection, and the way he saw her as someone worth saving when no one else ever had, made their relationship one of my favorite parts of the story. Their connection felt tender, but also healing.

The Blood Order stole my heart. And with the found family dynamic mixed with danger, mystery, and heated tension 🔥made this impossible to put down.

This was dark, spicy, addictive, and full of emotion…and the cliffhanger? Yeah…it left me desperate for more.

Touched by the Arcane by Lindsey N Rhoden was such a fun read. The diverse range of emotions and backgrounds amongst the characters were so well conveyed, I loved seeing them all develop and getting to understand them. And the ending of this book - the ENDING. I already cannot wait to read the next one.
This book is definitely a dark fantasy intended for mature audiences 18 and older, so bear that in mind when picking it up. But if that’s your jam, it’s worth picking up.
I would have liked to see the FMC be a little more fierce and not quite as malleable or compliant in some ways. HOWEVER - everything she did made sense with her traumatic background. Her character fits her story, I just personally like a slightly more independent lead woman. But Evangeline gets no hate from me, due to her background.
A huge thank you to Lindsey N Rhoden for letting me be an ARC reader for this tantalizing tale. I really enjoyed it and will be eagerly awaiting book two!

Thank you Lindsey Rhoden for sending me this e-ARC 🖤 All opinions are my own.

Touched by the Arcane is about a horny vampire biker gang and Evangeline, the daughter of an alpha who abhors magic and mythical creatures. Everyone was just fucking each other and I’m not complaining because this was HOT and KINKY! Be prepared for bloodlust, secrets, and a devastating cliffhanger.

!!!!!!!!!

“That’s what we taste like together, Angel. Fucking honey-dipped blasphemy." And as wrong as it is, as wrong as we are, I crave its sweet damnation.

“Now, listen closely, Angel,” ... “First, you’ll come for him.” …. “Then, you’ll come for me.” His voice is positively dripping with desire…

I am so grateful to Lindsey for giving me the opportunity to read this story early! I knew as soon as I saw the playlists for each character, I was straight up sold! And can we talk about that for a second?! Not only did she give each character their OWN playlist.... She has some of my all time favorite artists on there... The Home Team? Yes please!

Anyway to the story, itself. What an amazing rollercoaster of a ride! I loved every minute of this book! The connection between the boys and then them growing in their affection for Evangeline was perfection! And don't even get me started on the religious trauma! I felt seen!

I don't know what I'll have to do to get the ARC of the second book, but Lindsey if you happen to read this..... I'll beg on my knees like a good girl 😉

I would like to express my gratitude to bookfunnel, the publisher, and the author for the opportunity to read this e-book.

"Evangeline, daughter of the High Quarter Alpha, is forced into the ungoverned district after her powers emerge, where she's taken in by Aamon and the Blood Order vampires in this dark reverse harem romance."

Oh, the feels! Everyone was dealing with significant trauma, and they relied on one another for healing. Each person had their own unique story and background, yet they formed a beautiful found family. The ending was incredibly nerve-wracking for me as well. Although I'm not a fan of cliffhangers, this one was done so well that it has me desperatly waiting to read the next book.

First, thank you to Lindsey N. Rhoden for the ARC and the opportunity to read this early!

I really enjoyed the super horny vampire/biker RH thing we had going on here. I was hooked from the dedication page! Haha I liked that we got some emotional variation between the MMCs and got the different perspectives as well because it helped me see where everyone was as the story progressed.
I wish we would’ve seen some more fight from Evangeline at times throughout but that’s just a personal preference. I also wish we would’ve had some more clarification on exactly what the difference in her ‘power’ will make since it was specified she’s different than the guys.
The cliffhanger at the end killed me so I will definitely be waiting for more!

🌶🌶🌶🌶🥵 oh good heavens - I was blessed with the hottest ARC

Touched by the Arcane is HOTTTTT don't even get me started.... if you're looking for a book that is a well rounded reverse harem, well you FOUND IT! TBTA is full of

♡ kinks
♡ tattoo men
♡ religious trauma
♡ character development
♡ VAMPIRESSSS

I loved watching all of the characters grow and work through their own shit along side the storyline. The world is interesting and not overwhelming. Each character feels unique and not like a copy paste of one another, while still being close and connected. I loved the dynamic between the guys, and I can't wait to read more of Evangeline's story!

“That wasn’t the gods above, Angel… That was the power of the Blood Order.”

ARC Review
I had the opportunity to read this book and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed this book and was taken right into the story. This is a reverse harem. with some Gothic vibes, that adds some bikers and I had to know what happened on each page. I could not put it down. I found this book very easy to read, but more importantly I was definitely invested in the Evangeline’s journey through this book. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys:
-Reverse Harem
-Vampire Bikers
-Gothic Vibes
-Religious Trauma

If you love dark urban fantasy, vampires, found family, and why choose romance, you'll want to pick this one up. Just be sure to check the trigger warnings first.

I really enjoyed Evangeline's journey from sheltered and controlled to discovering the truth about herself and the world around her. The Blood Order quickly became my favorite part of the story—each member brought something different, and I loved watching their relationships with Evangeline grow.

The world-building was immersive, the mystery kept me invested, and while the pacing slowed a little in the middle, the ending more than made up for it. A solid start to what I'm sure will be an addictive series.

This book was SO good! I was hooked right from the beginning and it was such a quick read. I found myself quickly invested in the characters and I enjoyed how complex their interpersonal relationships were, especially Zeke and Sterling. Sterling really does pull on those heart strings. The story hits all the best themes with urban fantasy, reverse haram, vampires and it is spicy! 🌶️🌶️🌶️ The first book is left on a cliffhanger and I can’t wait to get my hands on the second book and find out what happens.

Screaming. Crying. Throwing up.

This book was exactly what an urban fantasy should be. No notes.

Evangeline is the daughter of the High Quarter Alpha and finds herself longing to escape the walls in which she has been trapped in. She gets herself in the midst of the Blood Order and their relationships and bonds formed are just 🌶🌶🌶

I need more. The ending just destroyed me. Absolutely rude. But i can't wait to read the next book!!

4.75 ⭐️. I was immediately sucked in from page one and I could not put the book down. This is the bonds that tie series meet the broken bloodlines series. It’s just so fucking good. The tropes are fantastic:
-urban dark fantasy 🌃
-vampires/magical things🧛
-religious trauma⛪️
-MMFMM👀
-kinky🔥
-gothic 🪦
The cliffhanger really just left me staring into the abyss for a good hour before I yelled bc wdym book 2 isn’t out yet. Ugh. It’s just so good

~Touched By The Arcane~
Overall 5 Stars🌟 If you are looking for your next obsession look no further than this review, this book is packed with so many amazing things. The world-building, the characters, and the magic system is writing beautifully, it felt like I was right alongside these characters throughout the whole book. Most of the time I am not one for reserve harem but I knew I could count on Lindsey to change my mind, every guy in this book is completely different from the other. I am so jealous of Evangeline and her many boyfriends🫣 Lindsey always does an amazing job when writing a character that suffers from a mental illness, I always feel all the things when reading a character like that. I resinated with Evangeline so much, such a great rep for CPSTD, being someone who suffers with it myself, I could see myself as her in many of these chapters.

✨This book is out now!!✨

‼️CHECK TRIGGER WARNINGS BEFORE YOU READ THIS BOOK‼️

Thank you so much Lindsey for giving me another opportunity to read this as an ARC! Everything you write just makes me love and appreciate you even more! 🫶🏻 Can’t wait for the next book to come out!

The first page introduces readers to an intense environment. I was immediately enraptured. The world-building, the gods, seven hells, and the Arcane are super intriguing. I loved the exposition and learning more about these elements as I continued reading.

I was not expecting the twists that occurred. They left me enraged and caught off guard every time. So good!

Thanks so much for the E-Arc!
I had so much fun with this dark vampire why choose
The tension, the power flips, the moody men….agh I was hooked! Our main FMC being in a world where magic is seen as “cursed” was a fun twists for me, but I loved the m/m scenes thrown in as well. The multi-pov was so fun, and so well done. Would re-read!

This book was captivating. It held my interest from the start. The world building was great. I loved the tension between characters and the way each MMC had their own mystery behind them. The spice is delicious and oh boy the plot twist has me begging for another book.
