Power hums beneath the skin of the realm, ancient and untamed. The darkness that once whispered now roars, creeping closer with every breath. As kingdoms falter and trust fractures, friendships that once felt unbreakable begin to splinter.
Amrie and Tavis must learn to master the magic burning inside them, or risk being consumed by it. Bound by love and destiny, they cling to one another as the world shifts beneath their feet.
But when secrets surface and loyalties are tested, even the strongest hearts may not survive.
Because sometimes love is powerful.
And sometimes… it isn’t enough.
Awakening of a Rebel is book two in the Journeys series and continues the adventure. It's full of fun, spice, adventure and banter and intended for an adult audience.
Second book and I thought it was great. I am in love with Tavis and Rex and
A really enjoyable continuation of the story (even with the cliffhanger!). I loved the different perspectives and that it all flowed really well together. This author is new but becomming one of my favorites, I like her humor. The spice is also nice and not over the top and she's great at avoiding the horrible words that some authors use, you know the ones. I enjoy the spice scenes. I like the fight scenes too.
this is my first review of a not yet released book. I read it via my daughter who got an advance copy. I have read the first book and loved the story and characters.
This book was better that the first, but because I knew the characters and wanted more of the journey.
I laughed and cried while reading. The conversations between characters are well done and feel authentic.
The ending does leave you hanging a bit but it just means I will be reading book 3 when it's ready.
I hope to read more of this author as I like her style.
I have just finished this and didn't want it to end. It's book two in the series and it didn't disapoint. The story continued and picked up where it left off - the spice is heavier in this one, but is wonderfully written and fits the chapters.
I really liked the multiple perspectives of characters and laughed multiple times at conversations. I was shocked a couple of times and even shed a tear which I both love and hate the author for.
be warned it does end on a cliff hanger but it's worth it.
thank you to the author for the chance to review for you again. I love your writing.
Just finished this book..I was rationing myself to a few chapters a day, I didn't want to finish it as book 3 is not out yet. Please hurry up with the next book I cant wait to find out how this wonderful story end.
