Meredith Allen Conner fell in love with romance the first time she read Jane Austin’s “Pride and Prejudice.” She now loves to create her own happily-ever-afters. In between writing – she also finds time to read, cross-country ski and do a little bit of crafting. The main female character was too stupid.

I really loved the connection between the Sela and Mac in the first book and based upon that book it seemed like Roc was the more mellow of the two. But I found Roc's behavior to be a bit of a turn off, even given the circumstances. The almost forced (i.e. she said no) nature of some of the love scenes did not appeal to me nor did the way he seemed almost hurt her when he loses control in spite of the whole mates would never hurt each other thing. Having said that I will still probably read the rest of the series, but if she had really gone there (i.e. him mating with her while she said no) that would have been it for this series.
