Weird, obscure stories that were vaguely religious at best. Way too much Scottish/Irish dialect-style spelling.

Stories from classic writers of fiction, including Dickens, Gaskill, Chekov, Wilde, Chesterton, O'Conner -- and several more. While some of the stories miss the mark a little, in my opinion, there is some excellent writing showcased in this anthology. My favorites: "The Three Eras of Libby Marsh" (Elizabeth Gaskill), "The Outcasts of Poker Flat" (Bret Harte), and "The Selfish Giant" (Oscar Wilde).
