Lester V. Chandler, an economist, author and adviser to the Federal Government during World War II. After earning his doctorate in economics at Yale University, Chandler taught at Dartmouth and Amherst before accepting a position as Gordon S. Rentschler Memorial Professor of Economics at Princeton University.
