One Book Stands Alone tackles the most pressing theological debate of our time—identifying God’s preserved word in the English language. Unlike many of the controversial and sometimes caustic works in this area, this book conclusively pinpoints the present battleground and spiritual combatants of the 21st century.
As a result of his “success” in the Garden of Eden, Satan has unrelentingly posed his familiar “Hath God said” question to every generation. Unfortunately, his query has frequently accomplished its designed purpose, undermining one’s faith in God’s word and causing division between the Creator and His creation. One Book Stands Alone identifies the counterfeit authorities guilty of giving an uncertain sound. The reader will quickly discover how to recognize Satan’s multi-pronged attack aimed at:
the deity of Jesus Christ scriptural purity and preservation salvation by grace without works the supremacy of preaching Christ’s sinless perfection the teaching of moral absolutes the total elimination of certain key verses and doctrines The main objective of this work was clearly recognized by Dr. Lee Roberson when he stated, “One Book Stands Alone is a spiritual masterpiece. It will strengthen your faith!” In these perilous times, most men are ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. I trust that the Lord will use this book to strengthen your faith and help you withstand the onslaught of modern “scholarship.”
This has to the be one of the best companions for the Bible. It teaches the history of the Bible, how modern versions corrupted doctrine, history of the languages involved in the Bible, explaining the importance of “thee, thou, thine, ye”, and the importance of staying with the King James Version.
Whether you’re a preacher, a seminary student, or just a Christian that wants to understand God’s Word more thoroughly, I highly recommend reading this! This should be a textbook in every seminary.
The author was so bent on proving the KJV is the only true translation of the Bible that he put forth many untrue statements concerning the later translations. A side by side comparison of biblical transactions was all I needed to show this book is written with a bias.
