I picked this up looking for an animation reference book, and it... really wasn't that. It was instead a fascinating memoir of the life and art of a stop-motion animator who mostly worked in British animation in the back half of the 20th century. It was a fascinating read, but I was frustrated that it didn't have more information on technique.
