From what little I do already know, I think some of his ideas are either wrong or outdated. It is an old book in an area of intense modern study and research.
However, my local library has this, and I kept taking it out, so when I saw the book for cheap at Medimops, I just bought it. Because there are lots of images which I find fascinating, and as a short overview of what are the main topic areas in investigating life in the middle ages, it is not bad.
