Blood Ain't Always Thicka

Rate this book
Muffy and KP had the all too familiar dream of a young couple in love. A ‘Til Death Do We Part Vow’. KP, the fearless street hustler, and Muffy the ride-or-die chick who had his back no matter what.
As the saying goes, crime doesn’t pay, and soon, KP is given his early retirement in the form of a long prison term. Though heartbroken and devastated, Muffy was hellbent on holding her man down; regardless of how long it would be.

Then, along comes the devilishly handsome, slick talking Andre. And like Eve in the garden, she’s seduced and persuaded to take a bite of the forbidden fruit. Two kids and an abusive relationship later, she was regretting it with a passion.

Lo and behold, a wiser, reformed KP is suddenly released early on parole. They reunite and rekindle their love, him giving her kids a new father figure in their lives. That alone was enough to propel Andre to unleash the beast, and ignite an intense custody battle.

In a whirlwind of drama, hate and so much more; the uncontradictable truth is revealed as a judge lets the kids make the ultimate decision. Which leaves you to wonder… is Blood really Thicka?

Blood Ain't Always Thicka

This is the first book I read by King Diamond, but it won't be the last. I really liked the love Muffy had for K.P. She was young but she grew up quick. Andre made me want to kick him to sleep. The words reminded me of deep down south.
