I hovered between 2 and 3. There were a couple of cute or good quotes but I mostly felt like it was a shrug moment like, eh, okay. Normally I enjoy his stuff a lot more.
I'm going to start out by saying that I love John Bytheway. I owe him a lot in my life. I buy everything he writes. Any book of his gets an additional star, just because I'm biased.
Now my thoughts on the book, just to help those looking for a book to buy.
It had a few funny quotes and a few quotes that make you think, but it was mostly white space. This one you buy because it is John and he is awesome and you get a couple of things to stick into talks and lessons.
My 16 year old wanted to have me read the whole thing to the family, because it was short and she was hoping to hear more funny or inspirational quotes. The rest of the kids younger than her were bugging and begging me to grab any different Bytheway book off the shelf and read from it.
The new softcover version of this book - I just had to list it since I designed the cover! Ha - there are some funny quotes but the whole thing could be read in about 15 minutes!
