I received this book as an ARC and thoroughly enjoyed it. Ariel Hendrix delivers a well-crafted rom-com suspense featuring a clever mistaken-identity premise. The writing is engaging and polished, balancing humor with intrigue in a way that keeps the story moving at a steady, compelling pace. The plot is concise yet entertaining, offering consistent moments of both comedy and suspense through to the conclusion. Overall, this was an enjoyable and engaging read that I would readily recommend to fans of romantic suspense with a humorous edge.

The moment I found out about this book I wanted to read it! I picked it up and immediately got into this story. I enjoyed Strictly Confidential so very much!
Kate and Luke's journey pulled me in right in! These two had a one night stand together. They're in for a surprise as Luke is Kate's new boss and Kate becomes Luke's assistant. The thing is though, Luke thinks Kate is a spy. They are about to shake up each other's lives and hearts for sure.
As soon as Luke and Kate met these two had me glued to their story! I so enjoyed how these two met and seeing them be brought back together. From their history, working together, Luke thinking Kate's a spy, things in their lives, and everything between them, I couldn't wait to see how it'd all play out for Kate and Luke!
I adored Kate and how relatable she was! Luke got to my heart! These two and their journey kept me on my toes. Luke and Kate were a breath of fresh air for me! Their chemistry was wonderful and blushworthy. Kate and Luke brought the feels!
Also, I gotta mention the adorable turtle, Speckles!
With Strictly Confidential, Ms.Hendrix has created such a great and refreshing boss x assistant romance that'll keep you turning the pages! 💗🐢

Four years ago, I read a book called "Big Shot" by Ariel Hendrix (back when she was published as M. J. Hendrix), and I instantly gave it five stars. It was actually the book that introduced me to Ariel and her incredible work (who remembers her TikTok video? eheheheh).
Now, four years later, "Strictly Confidential" brings that story back, BUT EVEN BETTER. With several changes and improvements, the book has been reworked into a stand-alone, and somehow Ariel managed to make a story I already loved even more amazing. I feel immensely proud of Ariel, not only as a person, but also of her as a writer.
Revisiting this story made me so happy. I genuinely didn’t think it could get any better, but Ariel surprised me once again! With a new title, a gorgeous new cover, and a few adjustments that elevate the whole experience, this book feels fresh while still keeping everything that made me fall in love with it the first time.

I received an ARC of this book and I’m really glad I picked it up. It was such a fun and engaging read that had me hooked pretty quickly. The mix of romance, humor, and a bit of suspense made the story really entertaining, and the mistaken identity trope added a lot of fun and unexpected moments.

A romcom where an ex-navy Seal turned billionaire businessman is convinced his newest PA is a spy sent to kill him which leads straight to utter chaos, mixed signals, and danger with a dose of steamy office romps and can’t keep their hands to themselves. It’s fun, with Luke and Kate indulging in a no name one night stand before they find themselves in the awkward position of him being her new boss which immediately trips Luke’s paranoia switch and confuses the heck out of Kate with all his hot and cold, and has just enough of that far fetched zany to keep it light while delivering a really great read about Luke’s last mission, the truth about why his best friend was murdered, and all that delicious alpha protective goodness that makes a heart skip a beat. It holds your attention from start to finish, the steam is delightful, and you genuinely just love both characters. A solid story that’s well worth the read.

Kate goes through absolute hell in a single day, so naturally she decides to say screw it and step way out of her comfort zone… which leads to her meeting Luke at a bar. and the chemistry?? immediate. instant. no notes. she was such a relatable heroine. the little moments where she talks to herself, her humor, her chaotic inner commentary… i loved it. and her turtle Speckles??? please. so freaking cute
and Luke… i loved that he wasn’t like the typical billionaire romance guys. he wasn’t arrogant, he wasn’t cocky, and honestly i just really loved his personality. he was protective of Kate in a way that had me kicking my feet… even though for like half the book he genuinely thought she was a spy on a mission to kill him 😭 watching him slowly open up to her was one of my favorite parts because he’s so closed off from everyone due to his past.
i loved it. i loved them. i loved this couple an unreasonable amount.

a romantic suspense featuring a billionaire x assistant? Sign me up! I had such a fun time reading this. After a one night stand, Kate is hired as a personal assistant. Turns out her one night stand, is her new boss.
Luke; a ex-navy seal is paranoid yet enamored by Kate, and they fall into a tension filled romance! But he suspects she’s a spy, after him for a mission that went wrong years prior.
Really had a good time with this one, and I loved the suspenseful moments.

I had the privilege of having this book as an ARC and let me tell you I literally could not put it down! I read this book in less than 24 hours. It’s a billionaire boss, rom com, ex military, mistaken identity, one night stand trope so if any of those are your thing you need to read this book! The characters are so relatable and fun, I especially relate to the FMC because she talks to herself and so do I lol. If you read MJ Hendrix book Big Shot, this is that book rewritten, I have read both and this is such an amazing rewrite, like I said I literally couldn’t put it down. Absolutely no notes! I would also really love to see this be made into a series.

Wow! Another great read by Ariel Hendrix. Didn’t put this book down and finished it in two days. I loved both the MMC and FMC. Kate was someone I’d want to be friends with, so down to earth yet ready to be a badass when the time called for it. Luke is a protective OTT dream. Story flowed well, no plot holes and a nice low angst romcom read.
I wish this was a series! I have a feeling Jackson and Mel would give eachother a run for their money in the best way 🙌🏼

This books had me cackling out loud in chapter one. The fun banter and commentary throughout the whole book was amazing and I loved it.
Kate was going through the worst of lows and just trying to shake off her bad luck and Luke ends up thinking she's a spy that's out to kill him. Which is ironic since I'm pretty sure kate can't walk 5 feet without causing some form of chaos 😂
They somehow manage to fall in love amongst all the crazy they get caught up in, while also solving a top secret investigation (ikyky).
The plot twist at the end was SO unexpected and Tin no way knew that was how it was going to end.
l've never read a Rom Com/Suspense but I'm honestly in love with it and need more.

Reading both Kate and the MMC Luke trying to keep professional after the initial hook-up kept me giggling. But it was unbelievably sweet how Luke even though he was suspicious Kate was a spy sent to kill him, he could not keep away from her.
I absolutely loved the ending with the spy reveal which I truly did not see coming. It was definitely different from Ariel’s other books but I would definitely read it again.

When I seen that Ariel was releasing a billionaire/ex military romance I could not wait to get my hands on this book so I was thrilled to have been sent an ARC.
Strictly Confidential is the perfect mix of banter, romance, plot and suspense, touching on subjects of a sensitive matter but written beautifully. The storyline was everything I love in a book and I hope to see more of the characters stories in the future!🤞🏼👏🏼

I loved this!!! I received an ARC of this book and it was awesome! Super fun read. I absolutely fell in love with both Kate and Luke! This guy all the right notes for me. Hot billionaire sweet woman trying to take care of her family with danger and mystery and a cute turtle.

Strictly Confidential was such a great read by Ariel Hendrix! It’s a fun fast paced Billionaire Boss Rom-Com which follows Kate who’s recently been fired from her job and Luke her soon to be boss who’s a ex navy seal.
It’s got the perfect amount of suspense and spice for a rom-com and I just had an absolute blast reading it!

So I originally read this as Big Shot and loved it so much. Im happy Ariel went back and gave us the closer since she decided to make this a one off. I love the twist and turns of this book. I love Luke and Kate as much as I did the first time I read this!

I absolutely loved this book the second time around. Even though it has been 5 years since I read the original version Big Shot and I forgot everything.
Getting to read the updated version like it was brand new to me was great.
