By the end of this book (3rd and final of the series) I was very confused. There were numerous continuity discrepancies, unfinished sentences, gender errors and not only between the three books but even within the same chapters of each. This book was the worst of the offenders contradicting what had taken place in the first two books. I also wonder if some of these authors even bother to have their work proof read which would surely catch these issues. It feels like several series I have read lately have all had these same problems. In one, the synopsis written for the book had absolutely nothing to do with what actually happened in it. The first book of this series introduced great characters and a good plot but that was not present in the next two and most glaringly in this final installment. I was left not understanding what had happened, how the plague, mini-apocalypse or whatever they were calling it had started, developed and was ended. Every major "bad guy" seemed to have the same name throughout the series (Lord Valerius) although they were described as having different roles / responsibilities at different times. Characters that were introduced for a brief time in the first book never showed up again until this final one and then only in the last couple of chapters and in an entirely different concept than when they first appeared. I had begun to think perhaps a general concept was given to an AI app and told to write these books. It's a shame because there was potential for an awesome series that just never developed.
