Seven days. A dying world. And a druid master’s final bargain with the gods to save humanity… or doom everyone he’s ever loved.I made a deal with a god.
Those never end well.
Now the Wild Hunt is circling, my list of allies is dwindling, and I’ve got seven days before my ticket gets punched by the ruling deity in Underhill.
Seven days to save humanity from extinction.
Seven days while an ancient, primal power watches, waiting for me to fail.
Something that doesn’t fear gods.
Something that sees me as its pawn—or prey.
Good thing I’ve never been particularly good at dying… or doing what the gods expect.

M.D. Massey describes himself as the prototypical INTJ. His eclectic background provides him with a rich tapestry of experiences to draw on when crafting fiction, as evidenced by the believable worlds and relatable characters he creates.
As a former Army combat medic (91B), professional martial arts instructor (Krav Maga, JKD, FMA), and women's self-defense instructor, he possesses a unique understanding of close combat, firearms, and criminal violence that few authors can match. This knowledge provides an element of realism to the Druidverse™ novels, setting them apart from other fantasy series.
Mr. Massey lives in the Texas Hill Country with his family and a huge American bulldog that keeps him company while he writes. When he's not in his office or at the local coffee shop writing, you can find him in his garage pummeling inanimate objects or knife-fighting with his friends.
lt's been 20 books and a handful of novellas and l'm sad to see the end of the Colin McCool series, but it's been a wild ride. I didn't know when I started this that it was the series finale, but what a way to get to the checkered flag.
l thank you sir for your efforts and look forward to whatever comes next.
Despite Colin’s claims to want a quiet life, rebuilding the number of druids in the world and some quality time with Fallon and friends, he can’t help himself and attracts the attention of the heavyweights of the Tuatha De Danan like Herne the Hunter, the Morrigan amd Dagda. The pace is breakneck throughout, which serves Colin as he has only seven days to save the world if he want to live (and also live with himself due to consequences). I did like the inclusion of two characters we haven’t seen in awhile. And the elegant simplicity of how Colin deals with one particular Tuatha De Danan who isn’t fond of him.

A GREAT ENDING TO THE SYLVAN CYCLE. Once again M.D. finishes up a series with a wonderful action packed finale. Colin again outsmarts the opposition, gains allies, and overcomes an original goddess. The tale is well crafted, the action non stopped, and a very satisfying conclusion. My only complaint is that Colin's deal with the Dagha prohibits his return to the time line , as a fan I wish Colin finds a loophole and Colin can return to this time to see the growth of the seeds he has planted
I really enjoyed how MD Massey wrapped up all the fun threads, characters and events into this book. I read them all! The superhero, the Crowley books, the trickster novels and I loved how he wrapped them all up. He keeps adding skills, characters and fun events. It’s got heart, it’s funny and it’s got great themes and lessons. Please keep going! I can’t wait to see a grove of Druids in the primary timeline!
MD Massey’s Druidverse never gets stale. It’s amazing how Colin way seems so real (if druids with magic were “real”) Ifyou are looking for a binge read that will take a while, dive into the Druidverse. I’ve said this before, but 5 stars isn’t enough. Intriguing plots and characters you can’t help but love, or hate for that matter.
As I have come to expect in the Colin McCool novels, there was a mix of seriousness and humor throughout. I definitely found myself wiping tears from my eyes at certain points, this was a great continuation of Colin's story, as well as providing additional background and context to others.
This was once again an amazing installment in a series that I love. The characters and storyline are top notch, I haven't been so enthralled by an author's writing since David Gemmell made me fall in love with fiction. Please keep it up! I can't wait until the next book comes out.
This book is a fine example of a number of things, not the least being fun to read.
That leads me to say the autor showed a huge amount of Gaelic knowledge. Needing to take another to stop and look up the definition of an other obscure Gaelic reference took time but left me better for the time spent.
These stories just keep getting better and better. Excellent pacing and crafting the story. Loved the length and the non-stop action. Can’t wait for the next one!
Could NOT put this book down. Huge fan of this Druid and his many worlds. Once again, Colin is able to whoop ass and outsmart Gods. Awesome! Absolutely loved it!
