Walter Elias “Walt” Disney (December 5, 1901 – December 15, 1966) was an American film producer, director, screenwriter, voice actor, animator, entrepreneur, entertainer, international icon, and philanthropist. Disney is famous for his influence in the field of entertainment during the 20th century. As the co-founder (with his brother Roy O. Disney) of Walt Disney Productions, Disney became one of the best-known motion picture producers in the world. The corporation he co-founded, now known as The Walt Disney Company, today has annual revenues of approximately U.S. $35 billion.
Disney is particularly noted for being a film producer and a popular showman, as well as an innovator in animation and theme park design. He and his staff created some of the world's most famous fictional characters including Mickey Mouse, a character for which Disney himself was the original voice. He has been awarded four honorary Academy Awards and has won twenty-two competitive Academy Awards out of fifty-nine nominations, including a record four in one year, giving him more awards and nominations than any other individual. He also won seven Emmy Awards. He is the namesake for Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resort theme parks in the United States, as well as the international resorts Tokyo Disney, Disneyland Paris, and Disneyland Hong Kong.
Disney died of lung cancer in Burbank, California, on December 15, 1966. The following year, construction began on Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. His brother Roy Disney inaugurated the Magic Kingdom on October 1, 1971.

Ripetitivo e senza idee
Questo numero di Topolino è interamente dedicato ai giochi invernali, e la cosa interessante è che non si fa il minimo accenno all’impatto ambientale che hanno avuto: per esempio quel bosco abbattuto per far spazio a nuove strutture forse non necessarie. Insomma, quando gli pare Topolino fa tanto l’ambientalista… ma oggi no, oggi va tutto bene così.
Le trame sono sempre peggiori, senza il minimo impegno nel costruire qualcosa di interessante; personaggi disegnati male e in modo infantile, sceneggiatori che non hanno voglia di migliorare e che trascinano le loro idee in tondo, annoiando.
1- PIPPO CAMPIONE… FREESTYLE
Storia di: Rudy Salvagnini
Disegni di: Carlo Limido
Storia infantile costruita solo per inserire qualcosa legato ai giochi sulla neve. Serviva qualcuno che sciassi o facesse snowboard, ed ecco allora Topolino, Pippo e Minni in vacanza che praticano sport invernali e, per caso, sventano un furto.
Trama inesistente.
2- GLI ANTICHI MESTIERI DI PAPERINO – PER QUALCHE SESTERZIO IN MENO
Storia di: Tito Faraci
Disegni di: Enrico Faccini
Questo contenitore strampalato è da quattro soldi, privo di idee e sembra quasi prendere in giro i lettori. Era già stato proposto nel 3659: la conferma che si ripetono sempre le stesse cose.
Paperino fa il domatore di leoni in una specie di antica Roma, come se c’entrasse qualcosa con Topolino. Vignette lunghe, prolisse e noiose, praticamente illeggibili.
In più, i disegni sono sformati, con uno stile che fa sembrare Paperino e Paperone coetanei di Qui, Quo e Qua. Disastro totale, reiterato.
3- PAPEROGA PRESENTA… – PIOGGIA: ISTRUZIONI PER L’USO

Se la mettete così, sembra quasi che queste storie vogliano prendere in giro i lettori.
Storia senza trama: Paperoga dice a Paperino cosa fare nei giorni di pioggia.
E questa sarebbe una storia?
Non va bene nemmeno per Topolino Junior: infantile e vuota. A questo punto sembra che i lettori vengano snobbati.
Tra l’altro è un’altra storia di Tito Faraci, illeggibile come l’altra qui presente. Sempre la stessa roba: bisognerebbe cambiare sceneggiatori, ma evidentemente sono stati assunti a tempo indeterminato.
4- CAVEZZA – RIVOLTA ROBOTICA
Storia di: Giuseppe Zironi
Disegni di: Cristian Canfailla
Altro contenitore già proposto troppe volte e che non ha mai nulla da offrire. Orazio da giovane, con il suo gruppo di amici, aggiusta problemi nella sua cittadina, che però è troppo moderna per essere ambientata nel suo passato.
Resta la solita domanda: perché dobbiamo vedere Orazio da giovane, quando il personaggio adulto funziona benissimo?
Gli amici rubano la scena senza essere interessanti e la trama è sempre la stessa: un problema tecnico da risolvere con l’aiuto del gruppo.
Storia infantile e noiosissima.
5- PAPERONE IN ATLANTIDE – 3

Continua lo strazio di questo esperimento fallito in partenza e che non avrebbe mai dovuto trovare spazio tra queste pagine.
Disegni lontani dallo stile di Topolino: colori carichi, pagine pesanti, linee spesse. Già a guardarla ci si stanca, perché tutto appare confuso.
La trama è trascinata e arrabattata, con elementi fantasy inseriti a forza: adesso Atlantide vola, tanto per aggiungere anche isole volanti. Paperone resta mezzo fuori di testa, i nipoti lo cercano, e alla fine torneranno tutti a casa.
E noi ci chiederemo a cosa è servito buttare via così tante pagine di Topolino.
