phenomenal ❤️‍🔥 this book is for the person that is wondering how to abide in God in everyday life/the mundane and the balance between “being” and “doing.” this is a book to simmer on and re-read!

What timing this book has! The Invitation calls us to step out of the busy and crazy for just a few minutes a day- This is an “easy” read, you won’t need hours a day to read the chapter- but you will find yourself lingering with each message, breathing more deeply, and receiving the invitation to create a space with the Lord for a moment of exploration, relationship and surrender.

We often talk about putting our phones down, or being “less busy.” We crave stillness yet hurry on and miss moments and miracles. This is your gentle invitation to take a 14-day pause in whatever the normal rush is. It is beautifully written, gently prophetic, and refreshing. I could feel my shoulders loosen after spending one day in this gem. Buy two—there might be tears and coffee stains on the first, and you will want a second to share.

If your walk with the Lord has been waning, you want more, or you've been distant for some time, I want to encourage you to get this book, The Invitation, by Jessi Green and start the journey into a renewed heart on fire for God. I love this verse in 2 Corinthians 3:16. "But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away." Jessi writes, "Could it really be possible? One turn to the Lord, and the veil - every hindrance, every wall - is taken away?" Yes, it's just that simple. We overcomplicate it. God has made it easy for us.

There has never been a devotional that I have related to more than this. It’s raw, and you almost feel like you’re living in the moments with Jessi as she depicts memories from her life. Each chapter is an invitation to walk deeper with God, as she peels back the layers of the mundane and reveals a holy, merciful Father that just wants to be with us in the everyday moments - not just on Sundays.
