Lyraen's first chapter is powerful and beautifully written. The tension builds slowly, and when the dragon appears, everything shifts. you can feel the weight of legacy, loss,and destiny pressing on her.
The blend of political conflict and dragon lore makes the world feel vast and lived-in. Definitely a strong start to an epic fantasy.
