They were caught at the silo at midnight. Same place they've been hookin’ up for years.
While Savannah’s fiancé had her bound to a bed and drugged out of her mind, Legion was getting the life beat out of him by a bunch of cowboys.
Her family thought violence would be enough to end it. They were wrong. It only made the bond stronger.
Now Savannah has to prove what it means to stand by her man and Legion has to convince forty-seven patched members of the Badlands MC that protecting her will be worth it.

BLOOD AND GRACE
Down on your knees—it’s time to choose sides.
Inside the pages you can Outlaw Biker Romance Rich Girl / Poor Boy Property Of Morally Gray/Anti-Hero MMC Obsessed/Possessive MMC Forbidden Love Only Her Only Him Childhood Sweethearts Touch Her and Die Primal Spice Secret Relationship
Blood and Grace was absolutely action packed. We continue with Legion and Savannah’s story and how they navigate their new situation. While I felt there was a lot happening, it only happened within the time span of 1-2 days and was more about the strengthening their relationship. I can’t wait to see what book 3 has in store with that cliffhanger.
Thank you J.A. Huss for providing this e-ARC. All opinions are my own.
Now that I am well into the story I can officially say I’m obsessed ❤️
Forbidden love, the backdrop of Montana, the edge of the MC, the battle between a legacy of wealth and poverty. Legions undying love for Savannah. God damn 🥵
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephane's Book Reports.
This is the second book in the Book of Legion. You have to read the first book, Dust and Flowers, or you will have not a clue what is happening in this book. Legion and Savanah find themselves both taken but not together. Marcus has her and her brothers have Legion. Man, oh man did I grow to hate Marcus more than the number of times I saw him in the first book. I would have knocked this guy up the side of the head and been done with him. He knows that she has been seeing Legion and is probably not going to marry him. But he can't have her making him look bad. Legion is taken and beaten because he was warned to stay away for their sister. But there is something more going on here. Cash and Wyatt are there but her brother Colt is not. He is never around much, but he is the brother that Savannah is closest too. We just have to figure out what is going on. However, when things change the only place that Legion has to go is the MC Clubhouse. The place that he knows he can keep her safe and some of his brothers are not happy. Legion did his time; they rewarded him with a brand and a home and now he is asking to protect the Ashby princess. Hmmmm...what else can go wrong for these two? I don't know if I was you that I would be asking that question. There is lot going on in this book and some shocking revelations come to live. I forgot to mention that Legion has two sisters and one is going to blow his mind and the other is going to. This one too will leave you with your heart in your throat. And now on to the next book. The good thing about these books, is that they all came out early and you don't have to wait to see what his going to happen next.
Blood and Grace picks up right where Dust and Flowers left off. I am so glad these serials are releasing a week apart because the cliffy at the end of each one would be a killer if I had to wait months.
We are really starting to delve deep into Legion and Savannah, what their past meant, what is happening now, and what the future could potentially look like for them. Of course, none of it is easy, with Savannah being the Ashby Princess and Legion being part of the Badlands MC. They feel very much like they are currently stuck in a no man’s land. For Legion, he must make a choice – the MC or Savannah. And since he has been branded, there really is no way out of it for him that comes with a good outcome. For Savannah, the things that occur to her during this book are shocking and are a cold slap of reality in the face of what she is up against in her own family. It really makes that adage, “family is who you make it” so true right about now.
When the cliffhanger appeared this time, I was not surprised at the revelation, but I was totally surprised by what it revealed, and now I cannot wait to move on to Scars and Promises to get all the dirt!
I received an ARC from the author and this is my honest review.
If you haven't read the first book, Dust & Flowers, then you cannot start this book as it picks up from the first book.
Savannah and Legion get taken however they are not together. Savannah was taken by her fiance, Marcus and Legion by her brothers. Savannah's brothers, Cash and Wyatt take Legion to a place to do harm while her other brother Colt is not with them. Marcus has kept Savannah in a cabin and knows that she has been seeing Legion but doesn't want her to make him look bad. Now things have gotten bad but they both escape and the only place left to go is to the MC clubhouse. Now, they both have to get the club members to protect them.
In this book, you get more background on both of them but you also get more into their story along with other secrets that are coming out. These two have a hard road that they have to face and also be there for each other. Can they survive what is coming? Will your heart be still whole when you are done? Onto the next book in the series.
The second novella in this 'Book of Legion' serial starts where we left off with book one.
Legion was beaten but isn't dead (yet). He's tied up somewhere.
"I come back in pieces. First, the pain— cataloged, filed away. Then sound— wind through wooden slats. Then awareness— my hands bound behind me, my shoulders wrenched backward against a support beam. Rope, not cuffs."
Meanwhile Savannah has been kidnapped and drugged by her ex-fiancé. He seems to have some sort of sick obsession with her.
"My head is throbbing and feels… too full. Like it’s stuffed with cotton. The nasty taste in my mouth has me craving water. I try to move my hand to my face, but I can’t. I'm tied down."
How will either of them escape or get rescued? A lot happens. This book is also much steamier than the first, and the cliffhanger was something I never saw coming.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book and am leaving a completely honest review.
The "secret" relationship Legion and Savannah shared for years is now thoroughly exposed to her older brothers and her fiance, Marcus. Caught red-handed, Marcus drugs and ties Savannah to a bed in his attempts to exorcise Legion for her mind. Meanwhile, two of her brothers have taken, beaten, and hogtied Legion in a different location. Thinking he's unconscious, Legion hears where Savannah is and why Cash and Wyatt are so vested in keeping him away from her. An unlikely hero helps them escape to the safety of his Badlands motorcycle club, but harboring the Ashby heiress shines too much light on the club's operations. Lines are drawn in the sand and life-altering decisions must be made to give Legion and Savannah a chance to survive the unknown of what's coming their way. And yes, this one ends on a cliffhanger that's about to complicate things a lot further!
Umm… okay. Marcus is unhinged, and not in a good way. I did not see that intro scene coming for book two.
Wow. Just wow.
This second installment had me in a total chokehold. I couldn’t put it down. The pacing is fast, the tension keeps building, and that ending??? Absolutely wild. Thank goodness I have the full serial as an ARC because I would be losing my mind waiting for the next installment!
The dual POV works so well here, adding depth and intensity as the story escalates. The emotional stakes feel higher, the dynamics darker, and everything just feels bigger. J.A. Huss’ writing in this serial continues to be phenomenal.
**CW:** hostage situations, captivity, drug use, public claiming, gun violence.
I swear JA Huss knows how to right a great book. She always keeps you engaged and wanting more. You never know exactly what is going to happen next. That is the best part about her writing. She is entertaining and unperdictable. I loved this installment of this serial novel. We get to see the evolution of not only Savannah but of Legion. Savannah has only ever known one way of life and she makes a choice to give up her life to be with the man she loves. Legion is doing everything he can not only for his family, Savannah, but also his club. There are so many secrets and so many lies to go around. It keeps the story interesting and you cannot help but want more. I cannot wait to see what else is instore for this couple. I will say the public claiming scene was perfection.
Unbelievable. This is an absolutely original story. “Yellowstone and SOA had a feral baby raised by the devil himself…” and it’s so true. When the richest girl in town falls in love with the MCs bad boy you expect drama. Well this is that x’s 1000. Epic drama and forbidden love that can’t be tamed by anyone or anything. I absolutely love every word. Every heartbreak. Every dramatic and tragic moment. Every secret and lie. Every dark nook and cranny!!!!
This is the second novella in a five part serial and I can’t wait for whatever comes next. I’m ready for all the intense emotions she will have me feeling.
Book 2 turns the dial way up — darker, grittier, and far more intense, picking up immediately after book 1 and then ending in chaos… again. Yes, I’m still screaming.
This time there’s no hiding. Legion and Savannah are forced out of secrecy and straight into consequences. Savannah has to choose whether she’s willing to give up comfort, status, and safety for a man she was raised to avoid. Legion has to prove she’s worth risking the brotherhood — and the club — for.
They’re no longer asking “Do we want this?” Now it’s “What will it cost?” And after that ending… I desperately need the next book.
This book blew my mind. Wow, what a read. This book, from the moment that I started reading grabbed me and kept me interested and reading until the last page. No matter what I needed to do, I was hooked and that was all there was to it. Nothing else mattered except for this story that sucks you in and does not let you go. These characters are so real that you feel as though you have known them forever and no matter what happens you want to see them overcome everything. This book does not disappoint. It is a must read.
With this second book in the Book of Legion series, darkness settles in Savannah's and Legion's universes. Yes, universes, plural. They are as different as possible, yet their love seems to surpasse everything. In Blood and Grace, the clash of cultures is palpable, but I also love the intimacy they were able to build through the years. Family, brotherood, loyalty and secrets appear but the bigger picture seems still very far, which I'm very happy with since I am becoming completely addicted to this new JA Huss world!!! Book 3, I'm soooo ready!!!
Blood and Grace by J.A. Huss picks up right where Dust & Flowers left off—and WOW, it’s darker, hotter, and even more intense. Legion proving that Savannah is worth risking it all had me swooning, while Savannah giving up everything for him made me root for her even harder. The stakes are higher, the tension is unbearable, and the emotional pull is real.
If you want a dark, possessive, emotional, and completely addictive story, this one is for you.
The first book felt like the calm before the storm. This books is the beginning of said storm. Definitely a whirlwind of emotions. It made me feel so much. Savannah’s and Legion’s love feels unstoppable but far from being easy and comes with a price. The things we do for love, right? For real love. But will it be enough to survive?
The truth of Savannah's upbringing comes to light in this book and beneath the shiny exterior the corruption breaks through. Hold onto your hats folks, this is a rough ride. The world and characters in this tale truly come to life here and it's not pretty. Brilliant writing, not sure how I'm going to make it through to the wait for each book. Still delayed satisfaction and all that. Looking forward to Friday and the next episode.
Book 2 of the series and my days, Julie likes to keep us hanging!!
We kick off right where the last book ends - thankfully! Savannah may have grown up around wealth and SM but when she doesn't do what her family want, their true colours soon show and I feel for her! Legion has given years of his life for his MC and now he needs their backing and protection for Savannah but at what cost...
4.5 ⭐️'s Blood and Grace is the second novella in the Book of Legion which continues where that jaw-dropping cliffhanger left us in Dust and Flowers! We see the true colors of Savannah's family and fiancé, she's property to them not a person with the exception of Colt but something is up with that man...hmmm.
Legion and Savannah are both tied up in situations they may not be able to get themselves out of on their own. I was on the edge of my seat and definitely not anticipating what happened next but giddy that it did. These two together are unequivocal but not without a force trying to drive them apart.
We finally meet the Badlands MC, Legion's family which he's asking for help but whether they give it or not is another situation all together and just when things feel like they are finally working out, Colt shows up with the most unexpected surprise leaving us on yet another jaw-dropping cliffhanger!! Ugh book 3 is a need!!
....getting better! Legion and Savannah are going to do me in! That scene in the clubhouse....you know the one...if you don't, what are you waiting for? *Sigh* (enter in all the emojis that mean spicy spicy) so good! There are surprises around every corner. I cannot wait for the next installment!
I did not see that one coming! The ending had my jaw dropping.
Leading up to that are some rough times for Legion and Savannah. Both are fighters, being together the end goal. Things are not what she envisioned but she’s going all in. The moment he’s never dared to dream of and she’s in his world.
This keeps getting better! You must read book 1 first. So many family secrets I need answers to. Savanna’s life is clearly not her own. But she is the Heir to the Ashby legacy. What are her brothers up to? I am wholly sucked into this world.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ OMG The start of this made me so angry, Marcus is a douche and I hope he gets what's coming to him! Couldn't put this down, so excited to see where these characters go! I love Leigon and Savannah so much!
I am enjoy being able to watch both main characters grow from book to book. In this book you get to know the supporting characters are bit better. again leave on a cliff hanger that makes you want to jump into the next book and keep reading. I did not see the twist at the end.
This book continues the world building started in the previous installment and ends on a cliffhanger that I definitely was not expecting. I find this author's stories always suck me in, and this one is no different!
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Wow, Legion and Savannah are making a mark on their lives, I hope they survive. A definite page turner and very entertaining. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ you will not be disappointed 😎🖤
When Legion and Savannah accept help from her brother Colt they have to seek protection from his brotherhood with the Badlands MC. Of course no help comes free.
This is a page turner! Poor Savannah, her family is f*cked. And Marcus is so sick! Another secret is revealed. Yeah this one hits hard and keeps on hitting!
