*Writing in Parallel* taught me a completely different way of thinking about AI and why it often gets things wrong. Instead of focusing on giving AI more data, the book explains that the real challenge is teaching AI how humans reason, not just how they communicate.

The idea of parallel writing is both simple and powerful. Seeing how multiple people respond to the same prompt can reveal patterns in human judgment and reasoning that are usually hidden. The book presents this concept in a clear and engaging way, making complex ideas easy to understand.
What I enjoyed most was how practical the ideas felt. Rather than just pointing out problems with AI, the author offers a thoughtful approach that could help improve trust, evaluation, and learning in AI systems.
My only disappointment was not being able to find the book on Amazon after finishing it. Other than that, it was a fantastic read. I first heard about it through a recommendation from Joey, one of the top BookTok community admins, and I'm glad I took her advice. I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in AI, education, or human reasoning.

As someone studying AI, this book gave me a perspective I hadn't encountered before. The author explains why AI systems can sound convincing while still getting things wrong, and does so in a way that is clear, practical, and easy to follow. The idea of comparing multiple responses to the same prompt seems simple on the surface, but the implications are much bigger than I expected.
What stood out to me most was that the book doesn't just point out problems with AI. It offers a genuinely interesting framework for understanding how human reasoning can be captured more effectively. Several chapters had me stopping to reread passages because the ideas were that thought provoking.
The book is concise, original, and refreshingly free of the usual recycled AI discussions. By the end, I found myself looking at both AI and human judgment differently.

Writing in Parallel is an absolute masterpiece of methodology. Working in education, I immediately saw the profound implications of Resimont’s Polling for Paragraphs technique. The author details how putting structured human responses side by side exposes the actual architecture of human judgment. It’s an incredibly elegant solution to a deeply complex technical problem.

The book is written with amazing clarity and creativity, making a highly academic and technical subject feel accessible and deeply engaging. I finished it in two sittings and have already started thinking about how to implement these writing constraints in my own research and classroom settings. A brilliant, forward thinking book!

I completely look to Joey Mertz for all my book recommendations, so when he hyped this up in our reader community, I knew I had to grab a copy immediately. Writing in Parallel did not disappoint! Bill Resimont has such an engaging, creative voice, and he manages to make a complex topic like AI feel incredibly fascinating and accessible.

The whole concept of Polling for Paragraphs completely blew my mind. It’s a quick, fast-paced read, but it leaves you looking at human language and technology in a completely different way. Huge thanks to Joey for Sharing this gem it’s easily one of my favorite finds of the year!

Finding nonfiction that appeals to an entire book club community is rare, but Bill Resimont absolutely nailed it with this book. Writing in Parallel is an exceptional piece of writing. Resimont writes with such clarity and creativity, making the concept of parallel writing feel intuitive yet groundbreaking.

He brilliantly shifts the focus away from cold algorithms and puts human judgment back at the center of the AI conversation. Our community chat has been buzzing since we finished it. It’s a slim volume, but the ideas inside are massive. A spectacular 5-star achievement in nonfiction writing.

It's rare to come across a book that presents a completely new way of looking at a familiar problem. This one did exactly that.

The ideas are thoughtful, easy to understand, and surprisingly powerful. I especially enjoyed how it connected human reasoning with the future of AI in a way that felt practical rather than theoretical.

I am still currently reading, I had a much deeper appreciation for how people think, make judgments, and communicate ideas. A genuinely interesting read that gave me a lot to think about while turning the pages.
