Five years ago, he broke her heart. Now, he’s her new boss.Rosie Jackson’s life is imploding. In the span of one disastrous week, her dream career goes up in smoke, and she finds herself working for her famous Formula 1 driver brother
working for her brother’s manager.
Theo Romano.
Satan Junior.
Former love of her life, and current bane of her existence.
It’s fine. Totally fine. All Rosie has to do is keep her head down, work hard, and ignore his smouldering looks, thoughtful gestures, and the way he keeps saying ‘hear me out’ in that too-soft voice that makes her resolve wobble.
Because the last time Rosie let Theo in, he shattered her. And she’s still trying to put herself back together.
Letting Theo Romano back into her life—back into her heart—is absolutely not an option.

This was such a cute and easy to follow read. I was hooked from the very first page and I read it in less than a day. I loved Rosie's character and I wanted her to have her happy ending that she deserved. plus I loved the chemistry between Rosie and Theo. This was the first book that I have read by the author and I will definitely be reading more by them. Overall a brilliant novel that I highly recommend to other readers. I look forward to reading more by the author. 💝 Thank you to the author Belinda Mary for my arc ebook copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
Away From Her by Belinda Mary delivers the kind of second-chance romance that thrives on tension, history, and unresolved feelings.
Five years after Theo Romano broke her heart, Rosie Jackson suddenly finds herself working for him. Not only is he her former love, but now he’s also her boss — which makes ignoring him almost impossible. As Rosie tries to keep her head down and move forward with her life, Theo keeps asking for one thing: a chance to explain what really happened.
What I enjoyed most about this story is the emotional tension between Rosie and Theo. Their history creates a lot of layered moments where it’s clear neither of them ever truly moved on. The push and pull between resentment and lingering feelings makes their interactions compelling.
The setting around the Formula 1 world and Rosie’s connection to her brother’s racing career adds an interesting backdrop to the story as well.
This is the third book in the Beyond the Grid series, and while it can stand on its own, reading the series in order will definitely give you more context for the characters and relationships.
If you enjoy second chance romance with emotional tension, complicated history, and characters forced back into each other’s orbit, this one is worth checking out.
Tropes • Second Chance Romance • Exes to Lovers • Brother’s Best Friend • Boss/Employee • Emotional Healing • Dual Timeline
Away From Her is my first introduction to an F1 story, and I have to say I'll be back for more. I love the racing elements throughout the story.
Theo and Rosie fell quickly and hard in a whirlwind romance until Theo destroyed her heart five years ago. Fast forward five years, and her new boss is her sworn enemy Theo. Que sarcastic comments and terrible nicknames for her new boss. The more she tries to push him away, the closer he finds himself drawn to her.
Rosie thinks he hates her, but he is there for her at every turn, checking on her, feeding her, crashing her blind date.
Theo is seeking a second chance, but Rosie refuses to let her guard down. Can his charm soften her heart? Theo is super swoon worthy.
Theo and Rosie have off the charts chemistry. I love the glimpses of their past through Theo’s eyes. Their story is closed door, but have no fear you will feel all the longing, desire, and love that flows through their relationship.
The side characters bring so much depth to their story and are a delightful addition, especially Nate and his cluelessness about Theo and Rosie.
I loved Theo and Rosie, and I recommend Away From Her. The mystery of why he broke her heart will break yours as well. I loved them and I think you will too.
Thank you to Belinda Mary for the ARC Away From Her. All opinions are my own. It's a fabulous story, and I can't wait for the next one.
4.5 ⭐️ - I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Of course I signed up to be an arc reader again for Belinda’s new book as I enjoyed Away With You so much, I knew I’d love this one too!
I enjoyed Rosie’s character from the previous book as a side character, but I loved her in her own book. Growing up in a well known F1 family and her parents having no goals for her, she didn’t know really what she wanted from her career. But that was before she met Theo.
Theo was a low level F1 driver five years ago, but once Rosie was in her life and filling her head 24/7 he starts to feel like she’s his lucky charm.
Things become very tangled with big feelings and big decisions, coming back to the now, Rosie can’t stand be in the same room after all these years and a heartbreak that she’s never moved on from.
The story is back and forth between 5 years ago and now, showing us the pair falling for one another, growing into their success and then the eventual heartbreak for both of them.
I love a second chance romance when it’s done right and this was perfection. The dual point of view to get Theo and Rosie’s side was welcome too, I love it when we know how both characters really feel.
You have time to go and read the previous books if you fancy getting your head into a new F1 world, starting with a love story that threads throughout the trilogy and intertwines well, even without reading all of them or even in order.
Belinda Mary has done it again. I've loved reading this series. I am realising second chance romance and ITS-ALWAYS-BEEN-YOU tropes are my top favourite tropes for escapism. Rosie and Theo (Rosie's brother's friend and now his F1 manager) had a relationship 5 years ago and have ended on a 'I don't want to see you or speak to you again". As the book progresses there are snippets from their past interwoven in between the chapters and you learn about how their relationship progression from the start to the break up. It all culminates into everything being revealed between the two characters and I can really appreciate the YEARNING, the banter, Theo's caring nature, and Theo's family have all tied into a very enjoyable read!
Away From Her is the third book in the Beyond The Grid series, a F1 romance series. This one features Theo an ex F1 driver now manager and Rosie, Nate’s sister from the previous book in the series. They met years ago and fell hard for each other and then circumstances lead to a heartbreaking break up. This brothers best friend, second chance, it always been you romance follows the F1 circuit travelling around the world. I thoroughly enjoyed this one and the whole series so if you are after a wholesome romance with just kissing then I highly recommend this one!
For me, this is a very heartfelt story. About life choices and their consequences, about dreams, about the possibility of a second chance.
My favorite part is how Theo helped Rosie get through her period. It seems to me that every woman dreams of such a partner, but unfortunately not everyone has one in their life.
And it was so nice to meet old acquaintances from the previous two books in this series.
I received a digital ARC of this book. This is book 3 in the series and should be read in order to avoid spoilers from the previous books. Theo and Rosie have a past from 5 years ago that very few people know about. In the present, everyone thinks they’ve been mortal enemies. But what happens when the past starts coming to light? Belinda takes you from the present to past and back with dual pov. You’ll be turning the pages and hoping for Theo and Rosie to work things out. You’ll have to read to find out! I hope we get more books in this series.
The 3rd book in the beyond the grid series by Belinda Mary. Highly recommended the whole series and I definitely suggest reading them in order. I loved the dual Timeline in this book, and the spin on the brothers best friend trope. I'm not going to give any spoilers but I will say one thing I very much appreciated Rosie's struggle with her period. It just made the story so real, more people need to put these struggles into books!
I am well and truly hooked on this F1 series. The racing track is a perfect backdrop for this series.
Following on from Nate's story, we focus on his little sister Rosie and her tumultuous relationship with his manager Theo. Five years ago he broke her heart and she's never recovered. Now he's her boss and the sparks do not stop flying. This is a great if you're into second-chance romances with witty comebacks and a heart-breaking back story.
This was really nice and easy to read. Rosie and Theo were really cute and I'm so happy they found their way in the end, loved the different aspects of their relationship and how they weren't reliant on each other for everything, a very refreshing take despite their history.
This was a really solid slow-burn romance. I’ll be honest—I wasn’t fully on board with Theo and Rosie the entire time, but I still found myself wanting them to end up together. The story wasn’t predictable, which made it even more engaging, and I kept reading to see how everything would unfold. Definitely a book that keeps you invested!
“Away From Her” (Beyond The Grid, book 3) by Belinda Mary Love that Endures Oh, my, yes… hope, discouragement, misunderstandings, missing information, and, perseverance, all wrapped up in a story that covers 5 long years… And you are there, learning the whole story, eventually. It is an adventure. Yes there are smiles and tears, too. Happy Reading ! !
