This is a supernatural thriller/horror. While this is outside of my usual genre I enjoyed the story.
What stood out to me is the descriptive writing style that drew me into the sounds and smells of the scenery. This was very suspenseful and chilling. The build up to the final twist was very good and I was truly surprised.
If you enjoy a suspenseful thriller with vivid descriptions then I recommend this, I have recommended to a few of my thriller loving friends
Pine Hollow is fast paced and gripping from the very first pages. The atmosphere is deeply immersive. It's eerie and unsettling, yet somehow cozy, like a quiet cabin where the fire is warm but the woods feel far too aware. The tension builds with a steady, creeping dread that keeps you locked in place. A chilling, atmospheric read that pulls you in and doesn't let go.
