It was very useful for me. I have just finished it but this book must be read many times and practice to learn topics. I think all students and anybody who writes essays or even blogs should study this book onself.

The book is really good if you want to learn the basics of writing an academic essay. The writer's tone is friendly and warm. He doesn't scare you with the weight of seriousness. Strongly recommended if you want a teacher who is helpful and supportive.
