"Open Scars" is the third book in the Devil Call MC-Talon & Everly series
~*~ The life he has to live is weighing more on Talon every day as he sees what it is doing to the only woman he's ever cared about. Yet Everly's addiction to Talon doesn't seem to fade . . . even if her eyes keep looking at Layne.
Talon takes the fall for his mistakes, vowing to make things right both inside and outside the MC, no matter what.
But with a snooping detective making life more difficult -- by setting up a Devil Call member to be murdered -- all lines begin to blur . . . and even more devastating secrets are revealed . . .
OMG, how this story had a huge surprise that I was not expecting. Mouth fell to the floor here. I find this series I get so mad at Everly. At times it is like she is playing games the way she is always throwing herself at Layne. It is almost like she is trying to push Layne and Talon’s buttons. Just total mind games at times
The Devil Call MC still does not have a president. Talon want to earn the patch the right way, thru votes. This book picks off where book 2 left off. Talon is in the hospital from being shot 3 times. It is lucky he survived. Talon shows how tuff he is and does not let that slow him down.
I truly wish Layne and Talon would come together and be able to bridge the huge gap that was caused by Talon killing Layne’s girlfriend. Though Talon had good reason it has still caused hard feeling between the two.
There is a Jade that is thrown in the story. Truly hate her the “B” and her brother. Would love to see them take a bullet the he head.
Detective John is full of surprises. There is more to his story then meets the eye. Try not to let your mouth drop to much when you read the book. Yeah sorry not going to tell you, have to read the book to find out.
I have the bundle so I will be reviewing each one and then combining all together.
Secrets are revealing them selves, from the reason why Layne is the way he is and the reason why Talon went to prison. Never believe who really is Talons father, wonder what happen to Talon to rebel and become and outlaw when daddy is the law. Everly is more mixed up with her feelings, she's with Talon but also pines and does throw herself at Layne a few times already. Now there is a new player in this game that wants the town for them selves and will use anything to bring down the MC and bring the crime and drugs into the town. More truth into Tommy and he real job. Still no prez for the MC, even with all the pissing contests between brothers Talon and Layne.
I think my favorite part was when Everly was going down on him in the hospital and he thinks " I needed to get off and if Everly wasn't going to do it, someone else would. That's just how my life worked" Wow, that's real love. Fucking POS, I hope she ends up with Layne. He's so much better. He's Loyal and only thinking of her even now. Talon will always cheat on her and considers it total fine and she should accept it. I hate him.
Devil Call MC still has no president and things are spinning out of control. A few more secrets are revealed in this installment, some of them huge. Detective John is still stalking around and I'm not liking the way he's trying to manipulate Everly. I hope she doesn't say or do anything stupid. At the same time, she's aggravating the hell out of me as far as her loyalty to Talon every time she tries to make a play at Layne. I need to read on!
After a while of the same thing a book becomes boring. Three books into the story and it is as discombobulated as the first one. The wishy washy h constantly wants another man(in all 3 books now) and now a new female character that makes the idiotic H hard. Yes I am finished. How long can you drag out a horrible plot?
Omg...the heat is getting hot between Talon and Everly. But she keeps part of herself with Layne. Trouble is still coming from everywhere, including the Detective that Talon can't get rid of. Now he is following Everly. But the detective gives her some big information that a key to the past.
Yowzier!!! Talk about a shocking end. OMG This book is on the dark side but a deep love. I am in serious hangover waiting for the next book. So many questions, so many lies, so much denial. How can it get better than that.
