Keira Montclair is the pen name of an author who lives in South Carolina with her husband. She writes fast-paced historical romance, often with children as secondary characters.

If she’s not writing, she prefers to spend time with her grandchildren. She’s worked as a high school math teacher, a registered nurse, and an office manager. She loves ballet, mathematics, puzzles, learning anything new, and creating new characters for her readers to fall in love with.

She considers her work done well when her readers shed tears over her stories, but there’s always a happy ending! Her bestselling series is a family saga that follows two medieval Scottish clans through three generations and now numbers over fifty books.

Highland Highlights Book One
Alexander Grant is one of those characters who you don’t ever want to let go of.
I’ve read the books, but it’s been a while for some of them; it was great to “see” everyone again. Some of the stories I could recall, others have me wanting to go back and reread them.
Even though it’s clips from the books, with author notes before each clip, it still reads quite smoothly. I can never get enough of the Grants and Ramsays!
I’m looking forward to more of these books.

I have read all the books that Keira has written about clans Grant/Ramsey (and all the relatives). I have enjoyed each and every one of them, many of them several times. 😀 This first book about Alexander was no different. It was delightful to read and reminisce about Alex and his life. I can't wait for book two!
I read a lot of Highlander romances. It is my favorite genre, and there is no one that does it better than Keira. So get this book, pull up a comfortable seat, get a cup of tea or a glass of wine, and take a trip to the Scottish Highlands. You will not be disappointed.

I think the word that best describes this book is disappointing. I expected to be reading a book that further developed the Alexander Grant character. I wanted more about Alex. What makes him tick. His experiences that developed him into the man we read about but weren't included in the original book. Instead I got excerpts from books I've already read. Total waste of my time and money. I enjoyed the original series but understand you have already read this book if you have read the series.

This book isn't for first time readers of this series. You get only snippets of the character and then it drops goes to a different storyline. I'm a diehard fan of this author and of Alexander Grant and I was left wanting, but I seem to be in the minority.

refresher

I’ve read all the books. It’s been so long that most of these scenes seamed new. What a great character.
