Scott R. Larson was born and grew up in California's San Joaquin Valley. He has also lived in France, Chile and for many years in and around Seattle, Washington. He currently finds himself in the West of Ireland where he writes one of the internet's longest running film blogs.

Maybe I'm a bit biased as I read this book whilst on a 3 week working trip to China, but it was my companion on solitary evenings in the middle of an industrial estate the size of a large city and I remember it very fondly. I particularly loved the description of California and Mexico, such a different world from where I was at the time and the main characters, Lonnie and Dallas.
