I’ve read countless leadership books that believe their main purpose is to inspire and confuse leaders with strong metaphor, stories, and unique allegory. Most are filled with some good stories and countless fluff but essentially leaving you wondering how to put this into a real world practice. This is NOT one of those books. Instead Ingles gives hands-on, practical tips to shape better leaders. He is concise in providing nine disciplines that will put you on the road to transformation. Biblically and data tested. If your pastor doesn’t have this one on their desk, buy it for them.

Useful tool for doing a quick check-up on your leadership. I found it an easy and quick read. The discussion questions and next steps are worth reflecting upon and don't take long. I tagged a couple of things that I had been doing but could take to another level and become much more intentional about.

Not very good. A rehash of several books it seemed like. Maybe ok for a leadership novice.
