I am death.
I am bloodshed.
I am a nightmare from which there is no awakening.
I, too, once bore the humiliation of humanity. I used to be known as the Baron of Bones. A ruler so corrupt and cruel that legends spoke of my making a deal with the Devil long before I truly did, gladly surrendering my human soul for immortality.
And so began my reign of terror.
But a mortal woman has become my obsession, my yearning for her stronger even than my desire for power has ever been.
And soon, so very soon, she will understand there is no love like the love of a demon.

This is a dark paranormal romance. Contains mature content and trigger themes. Reader discretion advised. Content considerations can be found on the author’s margosmythe.com.

Forget the Turkish delights instead get the Romanian delights with a filling of Demon 😈

Roxana, gave up her university education to marry her professor, Silas a man sixteen years older than her. His good looks have gotten better, but Roxana feels she is no longer good enough for him as their love life seems to be one sided now a total reversal of what it once was. That is until Silas arrives home one night and turns her world upside down, taking control like he used to if not more, his body is different but she pays little attention when she feels he has gotten his mojo back. There is an explanation for this, which she begins to realise and the pieces of upbringing return…

Bҽƈαυʂҽ ƚσ ɱҽ, ԋҽ ιʂ ʅιƙҽ α ρσιʂσɳ ɯιƚԋ αɳ αԃԃιƈƚιʋҽ ƚαʂƚҽ.
Aɳԃ I ƈαɳ ɳҽʋҽɾ ɠҽƚ ҽɳσυɠԋ.

I honestly loved this novella, Margo’s writing just intensifies the story, with effective visuals and a rather large dollop of spice 🤭 It leads you through the story giving you insights into the background story, a legacy and what was thought to be folklore in the FMCs country. All in all it comes together so well, gotta love an obsessive demon who knows how to use his ‘tackle’ and that ending 🫶🏻

Firstly I want to say a massive thank you to Margo for the ARC read!

Holy cow, what a ride!
The characters are so well written that you can’t help but form such strong opinions toward them from the get go.

Roxana had me on side and rooting for her version of a happily ever after in which ever way she needed and boy oh boy did the ending have my jaw on the floor! I was not expecting that at all.

Her dark side kept peeking and shocking the hell out of me. You can tell she has a streak but when it popped up it had me gasping!

Silas made me irrationally angry, gave me the ick and had me wondering where he got so much audacity from. However I loved how it ended for him, it was incredibly satisfying.

Overall such a fantastic novella, I finished it in less than 24 hours, hated that I had to put it down to be an adult because I could have easily finished it in one sitting.

✨️🖤 ARC Review 🖤✨️

I fell in love with this book from chapter one. It’s absolutely hilarious. The humor is on point. This is a true bite sized read, I devoured it in less than three hours and honestly wish there was more!
Let’s be real, the smut completely dominates the plot, but I didn’t mind one bit. There’s still an actual story and some sneaky character development woven in, so it never felt flat. Plus, getting everyone’s POV was a treat, it made it so much easier to connect with the whole unhinged cast.
And that ending? Good for you, Roxana. Get. It. Girl. 😈😎✨️

P.S. Seriously, though … how do I get a demon to possess my partner? Asking for a friend 👉🏼👈🏼🖤😈

Title: Demonic Delights
Author: Margo Smythe

Review: I received an (ARC) Advanced Reader Copy for MY honest review for free.

What in the holy hell did I just read?

This novella was not what I was expecting. I don't usually read dark paranormal romance books but I took the chance to be a part of this amazing ARC team. The story progressed well throughout, and delved deeper into the minds of three twisted characters.

The two mortal characters (Silas and Roxana), although their point of view was well written, I didn't really vibe with their characters. They were vain and didn't seem at all happy with their lives. They both settled but it was clear that they still had love for each other, even though the honeymoon stage was well and truely over after ten years together. Was there really anything left between them?

The demon himself, Sangrel Morvian. There is no love lost between demons and mortals. They are inferior and a means to an end. Sangrel's purpose is to bread, to make a son, and Roxana is the chosen female mortal host. What a privilege...

There is so much smut that the plot is irrelevant at this point. It’s explicit from the very first page and no hold backs on those dirty details. If you’re looking for a quick read with plenty of spice, demonic possession and a morally black FMC, then this novella is for you.

Roxana should have been a demon herself, because she gives zero f's about anyone else. She would be a naughty little thing...

“Let rivers flow crimson with the blood of youth... Let screams of a thousand virgins fill my halls. No joyful voice be heard, no hopeful day be lived. Fires of damnation shall eat their land, and their fields shall lie barren and bare. An eternal night shall descend upon them in a rain of ash. Hear the mortal wails of dying days, for I am a descent into the deepest pits of Hell. There be no mercy for those born in blood and bound in bones. Their hearts be turned to stone, their dreams to smoke, their hopes to dust. Forsaking all light, I make my vow to darkness. For I am become a mercenary of everlasting death.”

Demonic Delights is an exhilarating journey that effortlessly blends hints of romance early on in the love life of Roxana and Silas, demonic intrigue, and personal growth of its characters, keeping me glued to the pages from start to finish. The narrative delves into a theme that resonates with many married couples: the struggle to maintain passion and excitement when routines begin to overshadow desire. This relatable backdrop lends a depth to the supernatural elements, making the characters experiences even more engaging.

The story's pacing is spot on, with tantalising moments spiced with fiery chemistry. The descriptions of the steamy encounters are both sultry and tasteful, steering clear of the cringe-worthy tropes that often plague the genre. Margo's writing shines in how it balances explicit scenes with a compelling storyline and character development, making for a satisfying read that leaves you wanting more.

One of the standout elements for me is the character of Sangrel, whose animalistic persona adds a thrilling layer to the narrative. His obsessiveness of the female lead is portrayed with such vividness that it evokes a mix of desire and unease, making each interaction pulse with tension. You can't help but root for their connection as it evolves against the backdrop of supernatural chaos.

The promise of another book featuring these characters is delightfully exciting. I feel future readers will undoubtedly find themselves eager for another dose of this world, especially with the hints at new plot twists and deeper explorations of the characters dynamics.

Margo’s Demonic Delights marks a fantastic first experience for me as a reader of her work, and I’m thrilled to dive into her other writings. The blend of sexy supernatural rituals, psychological games, and the compelling allure of demonic possession makes this the kind of book that not only entertains but lingers in your thoughts and makes you desperate to get your book besties to read it.

If you’re looking for a wild ride filled with a hot demon daddy, desire, and deliciously dark undertones, Demonic Delights is a must-read, wait until you get to the part Roxana gets to see Sangrel in his true form 🥵🥵

A high-octane dark novella that wears its intentions on its sleeve—or perhaps, carved into its skin. This story is unapologetically explicit from start to finish, prioritizing "spice" over standard narrative conventions in a way that will thrill readers specifically looking for heat. The author provides a fair warning upfront: this is a journey where the smut takes center stage, and it absolutely does not hold back.

Despite its brevity and focus on physical chemistry, the novella manages to anchor itself with a surprisingly cohesive plot. Beneath the explicit sequences lies a gritty exploration of possession, obsession, and the weight of family lineage. Smythe utilizes an academic setting and occult research to give the narrative more intellectual weight than one might expect from a "spice-first" story. This isn't just a collection of scenes; there is a clear, deliberate direction to the events, punctuated by bold, memorable moments—most notably a church scene that highlights the book's commitment to its dark aesthetic.

Our protagonist, Roxana, breaks away from the typical "morally grey" archetype and is "morally black". She is driven by a desire for power and makes consistently selfish choices without seeking redemption or offering apologies. Smythe’s refusal to soften Roxana's edges is refreshing, allowing the character to remain authentically villainous within her own story. The book leans fully into its darkness, making it clear that it has no interest in healthy dynamics or traditional romance tropes.

🍵 Final Verdict
If you are seeking a fast-paced, spicy descent into demonic possession and moral corruption, Demonic Delights is a perfect, unapologetic addition to your shelf. It excels as a dark novella for readers who crave high-heat scenarios balanced by a legitimate, occult-driven plot and a truly ruthless female lead. However, consider this a firm "no-go" for those looking for soft romance, traditional redemption arcs, or healthy relationship dynamics. It is a bold, dark, and explicit ride that knows exactly what it is—and it refuses to be anything else.

THE SCREAM I SCREAMED AT THAT ENDING! HOW CAN YOU JUST LEAVE US HANGING LIKE THAT?! I NEED MORE!!

Roxana you sneaky, conniving little devil. I knew going into this she would be a hellion but I didn’t know to what extremes. She surprised the hell out of me through this whole novella. But honestly I’m (secretly) enthralled with her actions. Silas on the other hand needs to lighten up a little. Honestly, demon dude did him a favor. I’d use his real name, but I don’t want to give anything away. But “Not Silas”—OH. MY. ENEMY. (Iykyk). You devious Demon—your true form. You are one of a kind and I think a little piece of us wants to get to know you more. Even if we know it’s completely wrong.

But aren’t we all a little deranged to an extent?

You have to experience the story for yourself. To get thrown in to this the same way I did—with searing anticipation. This novella was more sm^t than anything but the plot was completely there! I was hooked from the first sentence. Honestly, that’s a lie. I was hooked the moment Margo mentioned she was writing something so unhinged. I didn’t even care what it was, I was going to read it anyway. But once again, her creativity astounds me. The world she creates, the characters coming to life, pure and utter perfection. Even if they are depraved.

Margo, take your crown of darkness, blood red flowers and your bow. A flawless execution of wickedness.

I've to say, this book took my by surprise. I wasn't expecting that at all and it quickly got me hooked!

I've rarely read any demon possession romance but I'm an avid fan or dark romance. And it delivered! I may need more of dark demon daddies now 🤣

It is quite a short book to I finished it the same day I got it. Thank you for accepting me in the ARC team!

Roxanne and Silas are wedded to each other but they mariage isnt going well. Until he comes home... different.

There is a lot of smut (kinky too) and it heavily dominated the plot. So, I wouldn't recommend it if this isn't something you want.

It was quite fun to read throught Silas POV because he thinks he's going crazy. He's missing time and his wife doesn't seem to care or don't realize it. However, he gets those dreams that seems more like memories than fiction from his brain.

Roxanna is crazy but in a good way. She's the morally grey one in the couple and I couldn't get enough of it. She is rational and strong women. She might love to be dominated in bed but she's still a force to recon with.

Overall, I feel like there was a lot of smut but it was so good I didn't mind it. The rest of the plot was well woven into it so the story still continue forward.

My only complaint? The ending. I feel like it should have gone a bit diffently. But it's just a small critic on my part.

I really enjoyed this book.

Demonic Delights
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I don’t usually pick up age-gap romances, but I made an exception for this one—and I’m so glad I did.

This dark occult possession romance completely hooked me. It starts with an unhappy marriage and quickly spirals into something far more twisted, psychological, and addictive. The duet format works beautifully, and the way the author uses chapter art, scene breaks, and even confused POV markers to reflect possession and loss of control is genuinely brilliant.

The spice is intense, silky, and unapologetic—very BDSM-forward, but always woven into the power dynamics and plot. The FMC’s banter is hilarious, the tension is delicious, and the morally gray consent moments had me clutching my Kindle. Only dark romance could make me excited about a demon possession… and somehow rooting for it.

What truly sold this for me was the plot. The twists are wild, smart, and deeply unsettling. Watching reality blur—especially as Silas believes he’s dreaming—turns this into a psychological thriller as much as a romance. The possession, the mirrors, and the ancestry reveal completely shook me.

Dark occult possession romance that possessed me.
I stayed up until 2 a.m. to finish this ARC, and the ending left me wanting more. I’m definitely excited to read more from this author.

Demonic Delights by Margo Smythe is a decadent, dark paranormal novella that delivers far more than just spice—though make no mistake, the spice is exquisite.

The prose is lush and almost poetic, but beneath the heat is a plot that genuinely packs a punch. The push and pull between the demon and Roxanna’s husband is tense, compelling, and sets the stage for something far more dangerous. When that tension turns its focus on Roxanna, the story becomes impossible to put down.

Roxanna is the true standout—morally bankrupt, deliciously unhinged, and completely unapologetic. She doesn’t seek redemption, and that’s exactly what makes her so fascinating. Easily one of my favorite FMCs in dark romance.

This is a story about obsession, power, and a love that is anything but gentle. Check the trigger warnings—this book leans fully into its darkness. If you enjoy dark paranormal romance with sharp teeth, unforgettable characters, and beautifully written sin, Demonic Delights is absolutely worth your time.

“There is no love like the love of a demon.”
This book proves it. 😈📖

There is more smut than plot in this novella.

It’s explicit from start to finish and doesn’t hold back. If you’re picking this up for spice, you won’t be disappointed.

But what I liked is that the plot is good too.

Under all the heat, there’s a real story about possession, obsession, and family lineage. The academic setting and occult research give it more depth than I expected. It doesn’t feel thrown together; there’s a clear direction behind everything that happens.

Roxana isn’t just morally grey. She’s morally black. She makes selfish choices, she wants power, and she doesn’t apologise for it. The book doesn’t try to soften her or redeem her, and I appreciated that.

The church scene was bold and memorable. This book knows it’s dark and fully leans into that.
Yes, the smut takes up most of the page time.
But the story is still there.

If you like:
• Demonic possession
• Morally corrupt FMCs
• Fast, spicy novellas

You’ll probably enjoy this.

If you need soft romance or healthy dynamics, this isn’t it.

My oh my... When Margo said this book would be different from her previous one, she wasn't kidding. I had no idea what to expect but I enjoyed it so much!

Roxana is a force to be reckoned with and she knew what she wanted. And she certainly preferred the 😈 to her human husband, Silas.

Roxana & Silas both knew their marriage was dwindling and Silas knew what his wife was like (knew what she was truly like in the end). However, he let her get this far and didn't stop her until it was too late.

But like Roxana, I think I'd rather have the 😈 than a human husband too. Makes it all more exciting.

What I loved most was that when even together, Silas and the 😈 were treated and displayed as separate characters/ beings, their thoughts were different from one another.

Thank you to Margo herself for the gifted arc. I can't wait for the next book you write 🖤

As always of course, read the TW's before reading this book

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This novella is about 178 pages and very spice-heavy.
This book follows The FMC, Roxana and her husband MMC, Silas.
There is also a third character known as Sangrel (demon), who takes over Silas' body.

If you’re looking for a quick, demon-smutty read with minimal plot, this book delivers. The story is light overall, but the ending includes a plot twist that genuinely surprised me. This is a fast, filthy demon romance best enjoyed for the spice rather than the story—if you’re craving plot depth, this may not be for you, but if you want spicy demon chaos, you’ll likely have a good time.

ARC REVIEW

I really wanted to love this novella. but it flopped for me. The plot had soooo much potential but the flow of the book just left me wanting more...

The FMC 'darker' side wasn't actually that dark..well I mean apart for 2 incidents 🤭 her husband just didn't like her as a whole person, he preferred her as the 19 year old teenager who would do as she was told. the FMC's darker sides consisted of her wanting more 'passion' from her husband like they had when she was younger, he failed to meet her needs in every way. rather than cheating on her husband like she had fantasised about she fell for the possessed version of him, the version that craved her the way she craved him.

the MMC was dull, a professor who fell for his young beautiful student and then married her but couldn't love all of her. I think if given the chance he would have been the one to cheat on the FMC for a younger model without darker interests. he was looking for a way out of his marriage but didn't have the guts to actually leave

😈 ARC Review | Demonic Delights by Margo Smythe 😈

She’s done it again. The second this hit my inbox this morning, I dropped everything and honestly? Zero regrets.

This novella is fast-paced, unapologetically dark, and drenched in spice. From page one it grabs you and refuses to let go. I told myself I’d read a chapter or two… next thing I knew, I was at the end without taking a single break 😂

The story is refreshingly original! I’ve genuinely never read anything quite like this. Silas and Roxana’s story is layered with unmet desire, lost love, and simmering resentment… until Silas uncovers an ancient heirloom hidden away in a colleague’s room. From there, things spiral beautifully downhill.

The heat, darkness, and desire seep off the pages, and I was fully here for every second of it. Intense, addictive, and impossible to put down.

The amount of graphically detailed smut in this book is completely unhinged in the best possible way. I love the characters and I loved the plot. Husband becomes possessed by a demon that has to fulfill his oath before he is allowed back in to the underworld.

I can't tell you more. You're just going to have to read it.

I recommend this to readers of erotica, bdsm and paranormal romance. As well as readers who enjoy spice that far outweighs the plot.

Demonic Delights: A Dark Paranormal Romance
Author: Margo Smythe
Genre: Dark Romance
Released: February 24, 2026

Silas and Roxana are introduced as an age-gap couple that was hot and heavy and is now just going through the motions. He's a professor at a university where a tragic event left Roxana the 'final girl'.
This is a short an spicy read and I won't be spoiling any of the juicy bits. I enjoyed the inclusion of Romanian occultism and how it shaped the story telling. The characters and setting were well described. There was additional info about the FMC om the content warning that would have added to the understanding of her character had it been included in the story. I recommend that if you don't normally read the content warning that you do with this books. The ending to this story was fantastic…proves you never really know someone.

Tropes: 2nd Chance, Possession, Morally Gray FMC

Triggers: Not having any triggers myself, remember to be good to yourself and read the contents warnings.

There wasn't much emotion left between Silas and Roxana, their marriage went into everyday routine rather than love, care and yearning. I really hated what became of their marriage and relationship, it continued because it was routine and they had to not because they wanted.

With Sangrel, Roxana quickly started seeing the switch between the Demon and her husband. After all, she finally started getting her brain melted like before 😂 a bit switch from what usually happened with Silas.

I loved seeing how Silas was remembering what happened like a bad hangover slowly returning to him, the disappointment when Roxana realised it was Silas crashing into the house and not Sangrel? Hilarious 😂

Girl just wanted to be loved, wanted someone to look forward to seeing her, spending time together and enjoying each others company rather than doing things like a chore. While they were both morally grey (or all three I guess...) I did understand Roxana, who doesn’t want to be looked after? Needed? Yearned for?

The fact this is a novella should be criminal!

Margo always manages to give voice to the dark and depraved things we like and didn't know we would until she smashes into your email with a diabolically crave worthy, demonic dark romance.

I loved everything about this and seriously appreciate the back story and history put into this book with the lore of Sangrel and the tie to her bloodline. Also can we have a round of applause for how Roxana severely ran under my radar! Despite the length of this story - it really does pack a punch, without in depth recap/flashback of history, it's beautifully maintained and offers glimpses in real time and truly accelerates the story and the darkness that is woven in each word, sentence and chapter.

I unashamedly loved this and want more.

Arc Review

Received this arc reader from the author. Thank you again for sending it!

Plot 4 🌟
Spicy 5 🌶

For those girlies who love the smut/spice woven within the pages of a paranormal dark romance, this novella is for you. It does contain a story of a survivor, who later her husband changes drastically from the man he was. She is swept into a life of paranormal, well most wouldn't believe it.

It does contain a plot, the reasonings for this happening. The spice starts from the beginning and doesn't stop. A full page turner. Want a hot book, can't put down and enjoy short books that will leave you fanning yourself. Grab a copy today. Highly recommended. Margo is VERY detailed in her scenes, allowing the reader to visualize the situation.

A captivating plunge into darkness that blends horror and romance in a way that keeps you on edge. Demonic Delights weaves a tale of obsession that’s both intriguing and unsettling in the best way.

The explicit content often veers into territory that feels excessively smutty, overshadowing some of the character depth and plot development that I feel could have been used to take this story further. While this intensity may appeal to fans of dark romance, it could be off putting for those seeking a more balanced narrative. Overall, it's a gripping read for those who enjoy their love stories steeped in darkness, but proceed with caution!

Thank you to Margo for providing me with a copy of Demonic Delights. As always, my opinions are my own.

ARC BOOK REVOEW

Firstly thank you @margo.smythe.author for allowing me to be part of the ARC team for this flawless story.

I knew it was going to be my vibe just from the dedication in the book.

Roxana is a character with little redeeming qualities yet somehow I still found her likeable? That may be an issue I need to discuss but hey ho 😂

The sass, the spice, the dual POV, just brilliant. 🌶️

Now it was the kind of book that when reading in public I was checking over my shoulder to make sure little Nana wasn’t peeking so recommend checking the trigger warnings before you read.

An absolute 5 star read from me ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

I think I could have read another 300 pages about Roxane, Silas and Sangrel.

You’ve made a fan out of me and I can’t wait to read the future stories 💓

✝️ demonic possession
✝️ academic setting
✝️ smut
✝️ morally grey fmc

After being a survivor of a shooting spree Roxana is back home with her boring husband and boring sex life.
That is until one day her husband comes home with an insatiable lust for her and getting her pregnant.
She figures out he has been possessed by a demon and turns the tables on him.

My girl Margo hit with this Novella. It was pure smut and storyline! I think i had as much fun reading this as Roxana did in the book!!

Thank you so much for the ARC and i cant wait for everyone to get hold of this book!!

3.75 for me. Okay. I have to think of this through novella eyes. I like the demonic possession. And how it progressed with how you saw how her mind worked. The 2 mortal characters though I was so at odds with and that's totally okay. I just hated how vain they were, and I mean isn't that humanity now. So consumed with how they look and age. So that was definitely spot on. I do wish there was more after what she told the demon at the end. But hey Novella! I did really enjoy it. If you want a book with demonic  delights here you go! I still loved the progression into her "monstrous" side. What an evil little thing. Makes me wonder what she'd be like if she became a demon.

If you are a fan of the "Monster Romance" or "Villain Gets the Girl" tropes and you have a high tolerance for darker themes, you’ll likely enjoy this. It’s a decent "guilty pleasure" read, though it lacks the emotional depth to make it a 5-star standout in a crowded genre.

It started out pretty hot and steamy and finished that way. If you want a morally gray FMC with some serious Daddy issues this is a great book for you. I do love the ending and that she pulls the strings and is in charge even over a VERY powerful demon.
I give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️ and 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Thanks for the Arc Read.

Silas and Roxana are trapped in a dull routine. Their marriage has lost its spark, and their once-passionate connection has faded into something painfully ordinary.

When Silas discovers a mysterious demonic mirror, his body becomes the host for a powerful demon with dark intentions toward Roxana.

What follows is a descent into supernatural temptation, ending with a twist no one sees coming. 🔥

If you’re looking for 177 pages of unapologetic demonic smut, this book delivers. I went in with no expectations—and was completely caught off guard 🥵🔥🥵🔥

This is intense, explicit, and not for the faint-hearted, so please check the trigger warnings before diving in.
