Whew!! (fans self) Beyond Blood books 1 to 3 were all 5 star reads for me...a sexy, mysterious, thrilling trilogy that left me panting for more...literally and figuratively speaking.
This short story is the perfect cure for the book hangover left when this series ended. It was more of the heat and angst between the three lovers/assassins and is a "lost" chapter that takes place at a time when Kite is hoping Jacob will fall for Marina as much as he has, and come on board with the idea that they could all live happily ever after and not have to kill her when the job is done.
This was full of sexy steam but also some serious soul searching as Jacob fights with himself internally, wondering if he could ever forgive himself if he has to hurt the one woman who fulfills all of his (and Kite's) desires.
A must read for anyone who has read the series!

"BEYOND BLOOD" IS WITHOUT A DOUBT UTTER PERFECTION! UNFORGETTABLE AMAZING CHARACTERS!
Nora, you are one of my favorite authors. I am a huge fan of all your work. But this series "Beyond Blood", was pure brilliance. It is not only my favorite from your collection, but one of the best series I was lucky to come across with last year. The story line, the characters, the twists and turns just genius. Needless to say that this interlude of "For the Warmth" I had the privilage to receive, even though is a short story it’s not only extremely hot, but tender, thrilling, just fanfreakintastic. Once more you’ve completely blown me away with this story and now I'm thirsty for more. You are Bloody Brillant!

I absolutely loved this story, about a woman who had nothing to lose, who seeks out two nearly retired hit men to avenge the loss of her family. She held a letter in a safety deposit box that could destroy them if something happened to her and the letter was turned over to the police.
Marina was a strong willed lady, who fell desperately in love with both Kite and Jacob. And the men were both falling for her bright mind, sensuality and her need for love.
A quote from the book: If Jacob was falling for Marina, the way I was falling for her...maybe this was it. His need to have her prove herself, to show we could trust her to choose us over anything else, to show the level of loyalty we did for each other...He believed she could do it. All I was sure of, was that I believed in Marina. It was impossible not to. This woman, this fucking amazing woman, she'd make it clear she was on our side. Then, we could all live on together.
I finished this story last night and could NOT stop thinking about the story and these characters. I need more of these three, I have found a new go to author!

This is a very very small novella and what's said here happens in between a couple of chapters of book 3. This little book was a surprise for me. I didn't know it was waiting to see the world and suddenly Nora sent an email announcing the book birthday so as the book obsessed I am I went and downloaded it that very second.
If there's still someone out there that hasn't read the trilogy ummm what are you waiting for? This story is totally worth it.
If you've finished the trilogy then you'll really enjoy this little precious since Kite, Jacob and Marina haven't changed at all. I didn't know I missed them so much till I read this book.
The essence of those three is intact...that means in between those few chapters are some really nice hot sex scenes with this two dangerous hitmen involved.

This book was amazingly hot. Two killers and the woman falling for both of them. They may be killers, but they are also alphas.
