I enjoyed this biography of an artist that, at least to me, is lesser-known, but who achieved great recognition during her lifetime. I like that it includes illustrations and images of portraits, as well as some of her works of art. I appreciate the subtlety with which it addresses her unconventional lifestyle. It is written with young readers in mind, so is a fairly quick and easy read. I will now be on the lookout for her art when I visit museums, etc.
