Author Lori Meckley attended Harrisburg Area Community College for her Associates Degree in Criminal Justice and worked law enforcement in the field of private apprehension, background investigation and as a booking agent. Ms. Meckley also shadowed Crime Scene Analyst David Ickler.

The author is currently working on her first historical romance with an unusual twist and plot line.

Author resides in Livingston MT with her fiancée.

I absolutely loved this companion book to the Fragile Ghosts series . We see life with Piper Morgan and Jason. This novella is just a short glimpse into their lives . Poe the protector of miss Piper and her best friend . The knower of all her secrets and the kitty shoulder to lean on when Piper is hurting . This helps set up the next book in the series. Trust there is a very sad aspect to the story that will make you cry. I did at least . Now I can't wait for the next book to come out. So if you want a great series to read check out the fragile Ghost series . You won't be disappointed in the least.

This was a short read but a nice little preview into the next book Fragile Ghosts. I also love how this book reminds you of how your pet can also be your best friend. Reading some of this through Poe the cats eyes was very sweet imagining how he feels about his owners and how he feels it is his duty to protect them and how much love their is between a person and their best animal friend.
