Hidden beneath the bed is a cage, and in the basement there are shackles waiting for me. My life consists of fear, silence, and control.

Once, my hands danced across the keys of a piano, creating music that filled the world with beauty. But then I was taken and renamed Summer. Returning to my old life should have been a relief…and it was for a time.

But now, I'm trapped in a marriage to a monster who wields my greatest fears like weapons. I'll protect my son with every breath I have, but when I'm sold for five nights and six days to a stranger, I realize that my nightmare has only just begun.

THE
Not every fix can be found on the couch across from me. I've always been the steady one, the glue that holds everything together. It's my mantle, one I wear proudly and wield with honor.

But when a simple job turns into something far more dangerous, I find myself forced into a role I never expected. I'm no longer just THE COUNSELOR. I'm a man with no choice. Five nights. Six days.

I'll break down her walls, save her—after all it's what I'm good at. But she is hiding the truth. One that has long reaching consequences.

The stage is set, the spotlight shines…and the clock is ticking.

ARC Review

I have been anxiously awaiting this book since the moment I read the last sentence of Kings and Queens, and closed my kindle. 24 hours it took me to read this book because I ATE it up. I was so excited to read about Summer (aka Victoria) and Marcel. This book was not what I expected, but I say that in the best way. It was fast paced, had some twists and turns, and lots of suspense. It was nice to also see some other characters have their own POV sprinkled in through out. It was mostly about Summer and Marcel, but you also saw other characters going through their own shit and keeps all the characters still involved in the series. I loved that she did that. Emerson Reign sure knows how to keep us all on the edge of our seats.

Declan-ughh my heart hurt for this little boy. But I know it’ll be worth it. He just wants his mom and I’m looking forward to Cameron getting what is coming for him and his narcissistic ass.

I am ready for Marcel to really deep dive into Summers past, and they heal one another. I know it’s going to be an epic love story!

That cliffhanger-dear lord. Why Emerson?? Whyyyyy???

Thank you Emerson Reign for letting me be apart of the ARC team! Anything you write, I will read! And you’ve got me hooked on the Season Sister Series. So I’m in it for the long haul with you!

We dive into Summers story in this book and it is not for the faint of heart.
Her current circumstances I was not at all prepared for, and the way her son is used as a tool against her makes my heart hurt so bad. The way so much of her story can get too uncomfortable, because let's face it, it is absolutely believable. gut wrenching. It makes it all impossible not to root for her at this point.
And with Marcel being the main one tied to the story so far? yes please I love him. We finally get a bit of a sneak peak into his childhood and how he ended up with the brothers and I wanted to go give him a snuggle so so bad. Gah!!!
I'll be honest the ending threw me a little. I don't quite understand what's going on and that's probably on me but I had to go back and re read it and it still didn't make perfect sense. It is a "cliffhanger" sort of so that's ok I'm sure once I dive into the next one things will become much more clear.
There is definitely a level of "yeah, ok" in the fact that Autumn and Spring just happen to be connected, and now Summer just happens to be connected through the men as well and it's just like, hmmmm really? But alas it is fiction for a reason and who knows maybe that will end up being a part of why they were all picked together in the first place? but for now it just seems implausible.
Victoria seems more mature and stronger than Kinsley which is nice so far not having so many child like tendencies. Her husband is definitely a well written villain and I CANNOT wait to see him get taken down. MMM yes. This is a great dark series, and the trauma definitely connects me to the characters well. Thank you to the author for sending me the arc read.

Angels & Saints: A Dark Rescue Romance by Emerson Reign completely pulled me into its dark, emotional world and refused to let go. This story is intense, haunting, and deeply gripping from the very first page.

Summer’s story is heartbreaking. Once a woman who filled the world with music, she has been stripped of her identity, her freedom, and her sense of safety. Watching her navigate fear, trauma, and the fierce love she has for her son was incredibly powerful. Her strength shines even in the darkest moments, and it made me root for her every step of the way.

Then there is The Counselor. A man who is used to helping others keep their lives together suddenly finds himself thrown into something far more dangerous than he ever expected. His determination to protect and save Summer adds such a compelling layer to the story. The tension between them builds slowly and intensely, creating a connection that feels raw, complicated, and real.

Emerson Reign does an amazing job balancing the darker elements of the story with emotional depth and suspense. The pacing keeps you on edge, and just when you think you understand what is happening, another layer unfolds. The writing is vivid and atmospheric, making every scene feel cinematic and emotionally charged.

This book is not for the faint of heart, but if you enjoy dark romance with high stakes, emotional intensity, and complex characters, this one will absolutely captivate you. And that ending… wow. Be prepared to immediately need the next book.

A powerful and unforgettable installment in the Season Sisters Saga that left me completely hooked. Definitely a five star read for me. ⭐️

This book is not quite what I expected. I don't mean that in a negative way. But honestly, when we read a series, interconnected or regular, and there are side characters who will get their story, we start picturing them, right? How will they be when it's their time... And of course I did that with Marcel. Yes, everyone calls him either Marcel or Counselor, nobody really says Andrew, except for Victoria. But I didn't expect him to have a past. I don't know. I just didn't. He's a psychologist, and I just... No 🙈 My mistakes! I should expect EVERYTHING from Emerson 🤣
Same with Victoria aka Summer. Holy moly... I thought poor Kinsley had a horrible past, but Victoria 😱 I knew she was one of her sisters and went through the same heII, but guys, you need a very thick skin 🙈

And all that is not enough. Even though this story has actually only two MCs, it's written in more POVs than just two. There is so much more happening that will prepare us for the coming season sisters 😍

So, and now I've already talked so much that my space is almost over and I feel I've said nothing. Like always 😖

But one thing... Yes, this book ends on a cliffhanger, because it's Summer's duet. The whole series should be read in order! But the cliffhanger, OMG. What a freaking plot twist. I'm speechless. Honestly. I don't know what to say about it. I sooo NEEEED the second book!!!!!

Thanks to the author for trusting me with a BETA 🩷

Where do I start? As with Spring’s books, Emerson’s writing is just incredible! The flow, the words, the plot, the twists, the cliffhanger - all off the charts amazing. I was so drawn into the characters and the story it was impossible to put down, which is exactly how it went with the first 3 books. I want to say that this was such a fun, cool, happy, sweet story, but that would be a lie. This story will rip your heart out and gut you with what has happened to the FMC. You will want to plot, plan and carry out the unaliving character for sure, but most likely multiple characters! Definitely read the trigger warnings. This book/series has plenty of them. If you can keep what happens in the book neatly inside the book and not let it consume you, then you will soak up every crazy bit of the story. You will see what is blooming between the MMC and FMC and you will want to see all the beautiful details of their story. There is sweetness and kindness in the story, so hold onto that and dive in! ***This is book 4 of the series, you should read 1-3 first as many characters and tons of background is covered in them.

Where do I even begin with Angels & Saints? 😭🖤

Finally getting Summer’s POV was everything I needed, but nothing could have prepared me for how raw it was. Her history of "fear, silence, and control" is devastating; seeing her adult trauma eclipse her childhood scars was honestly hard to breathe through. 💔⛓️‍💥

The Villain: Can we talk about her husband? I have never loathed a character more. I am manifesting absolute ruin for him—he deserves zero happiness. 😤🚫

The Hero: I spent half the book screaming for her to let Andrew help, but finding her way back to Marcel was the perfect hurt/comfort anchor. Our steady Counselor is just... chef’s kiss. 🥺⚓️

The Side Plot: Pasha’s development is top tier, even if he’s delusional about Hannah. Boy, get a clue! 💃🕺

The Ending: We expected an Emerson Reign cliffhanger, but this one was a total jolt to the system! ⚡️ I’m officially mourning the wait for the next release.

I am rooting for Summer and Marcel so hard. Emerson, I need the next book now! ⏳🗞️

Emerson you’ve done it again! I finished this book and my mouth dropped, I did not see that coming. The way you’ve woven these characters and their stories together is absolutely amazing. This is definitely not a stand alone, you will be confused at the part that all the characters play and their places in the story, if you don’t read Springs books first.

Victoria aka Summer’s story is heartbreaking, but the relationship between her and Marcel is something beautiful. I will be sitting here trying to be patient for the rest of her story.

You’ve done a wonderful job giving details and backstory on characters and it truly helps to make someone feel that are a part of the story. When I’m reading the characters are coming alive in my mind. You write in a way that I go through all of the emotions.

I received this book as an ARC copy and I have to say… I wasn’t disappointed. Emerson has a way of keeping these season sisters connected in a way that didn’t allow me to put the book down!

Summer’s story comes after Spring’s. For someone who is supposed to be the uplifting season sister, she sure had to deal with a lot in her past. Make sure to read the trigger warnings because it definitely goes dark for a while there. But man, what strength you feel from a character like her!

I especially love that pasha gets a bit more involved in their lives and we hear a bit more from a few other characters that we meet in Spring’s story!

This book should not be read as a stand alone, definitely read the there’s stories about Spring FIRST. But hurry, because you definitely want to read this one ASAP.

Well done Emerson! Can’t wait for the rest of Summer’s story to unfold!

Angels & Saints, book four of the Season Sisters Saga, absolutely blew my mind. Getting to finally meet Summer and experience the horrific life she was living—until she found Marcel, again. Their story is really something else and I am rooting for them so hard, especially after that cliffhanger.

And Pasha, I am really growing to like him, even more so as he dips his toes into being part of the death squad.

This series is really powerful and the way you’ve written these characters and the bonds they hold with each other. I can’t get enough.

Emerson, thank you so much for allowing me to read this as an ARC. You’ve once again delivered an incredible story, and I cannot wait to see how this all pans out. This was everything I hoped for and so much more.

I was completely shocked by the ending! jaw dropped shocked!
I have been blessed to read every book in this series as an arc and Each book is more and more amazing! Victoria is so tragic, and also strong as hell. I enjoyed Kinsley story and can not wait for Isabelle but Victoria's is just so impactful so far.
Marcel intrigued me in the first book and I am so glad to see more of him, I am seeing snippets of pashel and have theories on his story. I absoutley hate Cameron and he needs to suffer in many ways
I highly recommend this series but also air caution to pay attention to triggers as it is very dark and traumatic

Oh my, Summer's story ya'll 😭 Talk about feeling every ounce of pain, grieving with the character, and truly understanding her fear. I don't do reviews with spoilers because that's not fair, but I will say I feel for these girls even more after this story. I can not wait to get my hands on book #5 (Summer's 2nd book in this duet). If you love a good emotional series, please pick these books up. Start with Book #1 as it's a must to read the first 3 before diving in. This book is gut-wrenching, have your tissues ready, and check your trigger warnings ⚠️ Dive in and fall in love with Summer and get to know her on a deep level.

Dark and really difficult to read in places. Heartbreaking 💔
Summer’s abuse as a child with the other girls vs her life now? I almost think that her childhood trauma was easier to bear than this. The things she has been made to do and inflicted upon her beggars belief.
I was screaming at her to let Andrew in, to let him help her.
I’m loving Pasha and his alter ego though, he has just suddenly developed, becoming much more than Kinsley’s dance partner. He just needs to realise he has no future with Hannah!
The ending was a bit of a surprise, I truly wasn’t expecting that, but at the same time, wow 😮 I also then had the thought……dna testing?!?!

Where do I even begin……

I loved the flash backs that filled in some gaps from the past books with Victoria. I hate her dumb husband and wish him nothing but bad things. Fuck that guy.

Marcel is slowly becoming my favorite person. I also loved seeing the characters we know and love come out in bits and pieces of this book while not taking the focus away from the current story line.

The ending of the book left me gasping and unwell and I will need the next book immediately 🤣

I had very very high expectations of this book based on the previous ones in the series and honestly Emerson exceeded them!

100000/10.

I was so excited for the continuation of the Season Sisters, and this book does not disappoint! Victoria is sure put through so much turmoil and oh so much more. This one is definitely dark, so check your TW.

I love that we get to see into Marcel's past and learn more about who he is. I adore his character. I am so glad that we get to see more of Pasha in this book. I am so invested in all of these characters and their stories!

The cliffhanger.....gah! I need the completion of Victoria & Andrew's story!

I know Emerson expressed concern about how these would flow and if Summer could even live up to Spring, and I will tell you it's just as heartbreaking, gut wrenching, spicy, and funny as the first 3. Maybe even more funny and heartwrenching, because of the connections with everyone and I am not going to spoil it, but it's a rollercoaster. I think it may be darker then the first 3, but only because it's the current and much less about the past, but it is so well written it had me feeling all the emotions and all I have to say is Cameron is the worst person and a wasting oxygen by being alive.

Oh boy, this one had me on a roller-coaster that I am not sure I want to get off of. This series has so much trauma. It makes you feel everything the whole ride. I have teared up, and I have wanted to throw the book because it made me so mad. And if the book doesn't make you feel mad at times, then the cliffhanger on this sure will.

It's defiantly got triggers, so make sure you read them. Mental health matters.

I devoured Summer's story! Once I began reading I didn't want to stop.
This story took me on a bit of an emotional roller-coaster. The things Summer goes through, hurt my heart.
I loved Marcel. They way he is with Summer. There is such great tension and chemistry between them too.
I loved this book so much. What a captivating beginning, that left me wanting so much more!!! I cant wait for book 2!

This series is excellent if you like dark romance. My heart hurts for the season sisters. Unlike other interconnected books you do have to read the first books in this series to understand what is happening, but you also get more povs than just the two main characters.

This ends on a slight cliffhanger but Victoria’s main storyline should wrap but the next book in the series.

Emerson. You have done it again! I am invested, I cried, I laughed, I wanted to throw my kindle. Ugg that ending!? How could you!

I have so many feelings on this and I am already desperate for the next book. I can't handle how much I love Marcel!

Also, I am loving Pasha as "The Russian". I hope that persona sticks and he gets his book with Autum 🧡

this is an arc received by the author! oh my goodness, this book was amazing! and the cliffhanger at the end had me on the edge of my seat. I loved seeing more of Mischa and her guys in this book as well as Marcel and his relationship with her. I also enjoyed how connected everyone was. it was a heartbreaking read but well worth it! can't wait for the next part of Victoria's story

Absolutely phenomenal! As someone who has ARC read since the beginning I absolutely LOVED this story because of the evolution of putting the season sisters back together🥹 I seriously hate cliffhangers even if they are a necessary evil and cannot wait for the rest of Victoria and Marcel’s story! My heart cannot stand not knowing if he manages a rescue…

This book starts with the capture of "Summer" and seeing some of the individual hell she went through with the Mask and the Collector, then we get to see the rescue from her eyes. Unlike with Spring, Summer has a home and a family to return to and Callahan makes sure she does just that. But the sliver of happiness she has found won't last forever. Before we know it we find Summer living a new kind of hell that only the death squad, and herself, can save her from. We also learn a lot about our favorite counselor, like how he met the King brothers. We learn of a love he once had, and we learn WHY he takes some of his cases so heavily.

Can Marcel look past the enemy staring him in the face to save what he doesn't even know he has? Can Summer ever tell him who she really is? I can't wait to find out in the next book, because as always Emerson Reign is keeping us readers on our toes
