Easily 4.5 stars!!

Anyone willing to read, please do read the trigger warnings beforehand!!

Kept me on the edge of my seat for sure! I just needed to find out what Mara was going to do next! The heartbreak of how something so violating can change someone completely. The suspense of how she carried herself especially when having to be in the same room, even if he didn’t know it.
I love a good plot twist when it makes your eyes crease and you stare off into the distance like hold on WHAT?!
I only wish there was a little bit more of her maybe leaving behind little things of the fact she knew what he did and played with his head a little. Also more of the surrounding characters involvement, the friend, the friends boyfriend etc
BUT a truly FANTASTIC book and I hope there will be another!
Thank you for choosing me as one of your ARC readers 🫶🏻

I received this book as an ARC it grabbed my attention from page one. Mara’s journey in to figuring what happened and with her mental state on the verge of a breakdown. This book is well written and plan on reading more by this author.

I received a copy of this book from the author as an advanced copy. Please, for the love of books, read the trigger warnings. They are there. Be an adult if you need trigger warnings and proceed (or not) from there. I would really like to say a few choice words to this author. In the BEST way. And I will do so, personally, but to the rest of the world: Are you ready to have your mind ABSOLUTELY BLOWN? The mind f*** that I went through with this book was completely epic. If you are questioning what you know, what you have experienced, how your mind envisions things real, or not, you are absolutely not alone. This was an absolutely AMAZING psychological thriller. Well written, well thought out. As clear as a thriller mystery mind F*** can be. If I could give this 6 stars on a rating scale I absolutely would. If you need your mind and perceptions to be twisted, this is definitely up your alley.

This was an interesting read of how a violation of one woman drove her into the darkness of losing herself and on the brink of insanity!
In some ways, I did relate to this as I was on the brink of insanity many years ago so I did feel seen in this book, I do believe there should be a part two or maybe more to the story but overall a great read.
Thank you for allowing me to ARC read this for you.

A Great Mind-Bender

This story follows a woman who survives an assault and flips the script.

This book is a great mind-bender that sucks you in from the first page.

I loved that the story is told from inside Mara's head. I got to see exactly what she's thinking and why she's thinking that way.

The pacing was great. Not too slow to where I put the book down and not too fast that I couldn't digest it.

The "bad guy" wasn't who I thought it would be, which added a good twist.

The ending was epic! It totally satisfied me, but also makes me wish there will be a sequel.

The only reason I didn't rate it a full 5 star is because I found myself wanting a little bit more development of the main characters. That doesn't take away from the fact that this is an absolute must read!
