This book is so incredibly clever!! Kids will love it, of that I have no doubt, but you will love it too. You’ll read it with them at bedtime and then you’ll sneak it off to read ahead. You won’t be able to help yourself.
This is a perfect middle grade read told from the perspective of two investigating pups, adding a fascinating layer to an already enjoyable tale.
I pulled a couple of quotes from it:
“Son, you move like a washing machine full of horseshoes.”
“You know how I feel about spiders, they have too many legs, and they look like they're plotting something complicated!"
“It smells like... like the time I licked the back of the refrigerator, Dad! It's tingly! Is the tunnel spicy?"
But the warning was too late. The momentum of mistakes was already in motion.
Moses and Behr are a perfect duo, relying of each other’s strengths, compensating for each other’s weaknesses and solving the mystery with skill and humour.
I cannot wait for Moses and Behr’s next adventure!

Super cute! I have NEVER read a mystery in a dog’s perspective before! Spear brings a new and refreshing twist to cozy mysteries! Moses and Behr a father and son investigating team! Their neighbor is found impaled and the police have no leads! So it’s up to the dog sheriff of Elm Street and his clutzy but cute son to solve the case! Every page is fun to read and includes illustrations throughout. I was sad to read that the real Moses had passed away this year! Rest In Peace, Moses! Your favorite author and son will be sure to continue your legacy! Moses would be so proud of you Rachael Spear!! I can’t wait to have more Moses Mysteries in my collection!

This story was engaging and fun to read ,I was very invested in what would happen next through every chapter. I believe it will be great for kids and adults and become a favorite in many home libraries. Can't wait for the next one with these lovable characters.
