Starting with the inescapable (for good reason) Francis of Assisi and ending with "the Little Flower," Therese of Lisieux, this book contains short biographies of eighteen canonized saints, including the fascinating Aquinas and Joan of Arc, the lovable Elizabeth of Hungary and Don Bosco, and the somewhat terrifying Rose of Lima. A little dry and scholarly for such a romantic topic (uh oh, my dogma is showing), and it didn't include people like John of the Cross, Theresa of Avilia and Francis Xavier (who I wanted to know more about) but still very interesting.
