My new-reader-granddaughter thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It includes four relatable stories.

I love these "Brand New Readers." They're great for the very earliest readers. They have just a few short words on each page, and it's easy to tell what's going on by looking at the pictures, and they're well written usually with a funny ending. This set of stories is silly but cute. Of course, five year olds love silly.

The Brand New Readers series has been perfect for getting my 4-yr-old interested in trying to read. Just one sentence on each page, lots of repetition and lots of silly moments. Otter is one of her favorite characters.
